Kichiku Suraisu . . . if I'm not mistaken if you want that to say "Brute Slice" it has to go Suraisu Kichiku. . .then again I'm not Japanese.
-
I'm seeing F.Kins are still at the top of most ppl's charts for farming blue side and SS/Fire brute or Fire/Psy Dom topping the charts on Red side.
-
Isn't anyone intrested in doing this? It'll be fun to get a perspective of what others think a potential omage character should be translated into the COX-Verse.
-
Quote:I only have The brute SS/Fire Farmer red side on Freedom, and the Arch/MM, F.Kin blue side, also on Freedom. Justice I have the Elec/SD brute. That is all I have for farmers, I was just wanting to make a Tank on Virtue for RP value, but then was thinking I would want to farm w/him too. After looking at the posts, I think I'll just build that I know is great at farming then decide what best fits that toon for RP value.Although, I'm curious Ghost Ripper. If you already have more than one farming toon on each side, why do you wish to build a farming tank? I dislike tanks in general. In the age of IO's IMO for 99.99% of the content in this game a tank isn't needed and I'd much rather have something else on my team that brings more to the table. With that said, I rolled my SD/Fire for concept reasons and made sure I took a combo that dealt a decent amount of damage.

I was trying to set up a format of list what you think one is, then comment on one or a few of the others you want to comment on, then so on and so forth. Like mine was:
Vampire (Blade) = Kat/SR or Kat/WP w/max def to make him harder to hit to represent dodge speed
Angel = Tank/Scrapper/PB= Tanks-Inv, Shield (elemtal), WP, FA; Secondary WM/BAxe/SS/FM. . . etc.
Riddick= Brute DB (Knives)/ WP or SR
Next person puts there Ideas of what I put, then puts their own:
Like Poster88 writes I think Angels would be this or that. . .listing powers
Poster88 writes I think Mega Man would have these powers (??????) then the next person commetns on mine or his and puts there own down...etc. etc. -
Let me first thank all of you who have commented so far, this is becomeing a good info-mercial for Farming toons. I've seen some posters write things that were answered in my original post. For instance, someone wrote that it depends on the driver or player; however, I wrote ALL things being equal, meaning map, spawn size and lvl, player ability. Also, I wanted to know who everyone thinks is the FASTEST farmer, not the funnest to play or least likely to be killed.
So. . . this time I will list some paramaters:
1.Fastest for Influence/Infamy, set to 8 man solo run at -1 to +3 spawns
a.Villagers Map or BM Map
b. Demon farm map
c. Family map
d. Dreck map that doesn' thave dreck in it
e. Lib TV run w/Nemisis and mobs on Freaks map
2.Fastest for Purples, set to 8 man solo run at -1 spawns
SAME AS ABOVE
Try these parameters now for your picks. -
Are you being serious? I am not sure if you mean Energy Melee which is what EM stands for, and that is no where near a good pick for farming. Of if you mean ELM which is Electric Melee, whis is decent; however, I wouldn't pair it w/SA b/c SA is slow, DMG & Speed wise.
-
I was looking for BLUE SIDE answers; however, if you want to compare please do so with in the confines of BLUE and RED side respectfully (Until GR). So your pick for RED side is SS/Fire/? Missing the PPP...and your pick for Blue side is?
-
That is the question. All things being equal, mobs, inf in build, and player ability, who is the fastest at farming? Some people say F.Kin is still number one. If you take a max built F.kin and put him up against any other build Blue side the F.Kin will win. That's not my opinion just one I am echoing from many sources. Let the debate begin, who REALLY IS the BEST?

Quote:So then how often does it stack? Am I understanding what you are saying that every 1 sec it can stack, so every other second it is stacking?I'd be surprised if it was that long. Rise to the Challenge's scaling regen has a 1s duration and 1s refresh. I'd bet it stacks for one, maybe two server ticks. IF it uses the same clock as attacks do, that'd be between 0.132 and 0.264 secs.
I don't know the specifics because I'm not sure of any real way to test it. (Regen produces no chat spam to analyze logs/demos.) I know it exists and that it's brief, but I can't get more specific than that, sadly. -
I wanted to start a thread here where people could offer up a character from any media and convert them to COX. I'll start.
What AT would Riddick be and what Powers would he have?
What AT would a Vampire be and what powers could you use for them? (Blade) or (Gerneral mythos Vamps)
What AT would an Angel be and what Powers whould it have?
My Ideas on Riddick Dual Blades/WP or DB/SR Brute...defintely GR prospect.
Blade type Vamp Kat/Regen, Kat/WP or Kat/Inv. scrapper. Kat/WP Brute. Kat/Inv. Brute -
Thanks for the replies all! So the DM/FA AT synergy is best used in PvP it sounds like, or possibly AV soloing?

Quote:How long does the overstack last, b/c that could be game changeing...lol.I can almost guarantee that the 226.67 hp/sec is during the fraction of a second of RttC overlapping with itself.
65 hp/sec = (3212 * Regen) / 240
~4.8567 = Regen = ~485.67%
RttC offers 100% regen plus 25% per target, or 350% with 10 targets and 600% during the overlap (base). To make math easy, with 100% enhancement, those numbers are 700% and 1200%. That'd put your regen at 1185.67% (10 targs) or 1685.67% (double stack).
226.67 hp/sec = (3212 * Regen) / 240
16.9367 = Regen = 1693.67%
Outside the double stack, you should have around 158.68 hp/sec.
(Not trying to pick on you or anything, but 200+ hp/sec sounded wrong to me and I had to figure out where the discrepancy was.) -
How well did it perform early, mid, and late game? Could you farm solo, or needed help? What was the damage output like? How was your survival rate? Could you Tank in TF's like ITF? Is it fun?

I realize the best farmers in the game are (Not necessarily in this order):
Blasters:
Arch/MM
Fire/MM
Fire/Fire
Scrapper:
Spines/Fire
Spines/Elec/DA
Elec/Shield
Tankers:
Shield/Elec
Shield/SS
FA/SS
FA/FM
Trollers:
F.Kin
I have a F.Kin & Arch/MM blue side farmers. Red side I have SS/FA & Elec/Shield Brutes -
This is my build, I guess ya'll have higher regen, b/c of the AT's being TANKS, I have a scrapper/Regen with 855% regen = 86 HP/sec...and maxed out HP. Although my Regen is 20 or more points lower than the tanks, Once IH kicks in I am well above most regen builds for HP/Sec gained, somewhere around 188 hp/sec. Oh and thanks for the explaination Serrate.

So has Shield/Elec replaced the Shield/SS farmers? What are the Pros and Cons for Elec/SS? How is it cheaper than Shield/SS or the likes?
-
How are ya'll getting numbers like these? I mean sure I get 859% regen, but for HP/sec shows up in mids as well below 100.9hp. . . more like 86.2 or something like that in mids. I have a build that is 855% regen and it shows his Hp/Sec are 86...no where close to 100, so again where are these HP/Sec numbers coming from?

I know Red side a SS/FA brute is a beast for farming; however, not sure how well it would translate blue side. What Blue side is able to handle the late game damage in farms and solo and 8 man +2 or +3. I'm looking for some criteria here: One. Survivability-if you can't stay upright then you can't fight. Two. Speed-this is tricky considering you add any kin to make you faster; however, I'm looking for a PURE soloist, High Damage, High recharge, and Endless Endurance. *Bonus* List ones that can do all this and still main tank an ITF or any TF for that matter.
I was thinking of doing a FA/WM; however, I don't know how well he'd be in surviving. I think he could survive 51 and maybe 52's but anything higher, he's done. I could make an Inv/WM and I know that would be survivable for anything...just never played a WM so not sure how their damage stacks up.
*Final Note* Using just SO's and mabye 2 or 3 IO sets. Looking for a cheap build, so Min INF. going into build for Max Inf. comimg out of build from farming and other stuff. Or should I just scrap this Idea roll a F.Kin and be done with it? -
The Purple Sets follow their own rules:
1.The enhancements are level 50 only. Their recipes drop from Pool A (defeat of foes) very rarely whenever you would normally have a chance at level 50 drops (when fighting critters around 47+).
2.You must be level 50 to slot them.
3.The Set Bonuses of Purple Sets never shut off due to exemplaring more than three levels lower than the level of the IOs (which are level 50).
4.The Special IOs of the Purple Sets which are 'Procs' (see below) have a higher chance of firing (33%) and do more damage that the Procs of the other Sets.
5.You cannot buy them from Merit Vendors. They only come from Pool A drops. The recipes and crafted purple IOs can be put up on the Markets.
This is from Paragon Wiki. . . notice it says 47+ mobs drop purples (Sighted at end of #1)
I have asked plenty of people in game and they all say, you can only get a purple from level 50 mobs. Is this true or false? Is paragon wiki wrong? Next question, does it matter what mob you fight for drop rate, i.e. does a boss drop a purple the same amount of time a minion does? Thanks for answering these newbie questions, just confused from feed back of ppl in game and PW. -
I was trying to make a Farming build, though I doubt it'll be as good as a Fire/Psy was or maybe still is? I just wanted to try something diffrent and I liked the Idea of Hot Feet and Mud Pots stacking for slow and dmg (although the mudpots 8'radius is really weak for the amount of damage and end it takes to do.) So as a farming build what can I do to improve. I have his melee and S/L def around 25 or so which is too low I would think.

So is there a secondary set that can do both: Farm and Solo AV's?
