Sunday Night in Pocket D


Roselin was there, sipping her wine, more or less ignoring everyone except for every now and then. Seemed rather sceptical about Feyth's proclimations. Less so about Nick's hostility towards Feyth.
At some point she switched to vodka.

Sarah2 showed up, being rather excitable...
They talked a bit, trying to keep a tv person/probably reporter out of the loop. Then they moved for a better chat.

After a bit Nick left, leaving Roselin and Sarah2 alone.
After a bit, some one came up to Roselin and Sarah2 asking if they were assosiates of Nick. The two women being a bit intoxicated (or a bit more...) the chat was a bit odd.
Seems her boss wanted to talk to Nick, but she brought them instead. The boss, who was the messenger's twin wasn't ammused. Roselin and Sarah2 were, how ever and had lots of fun making fun off 'the mafia' with their 'Godfather' wanting a favour of Nick (but he's not in to older men)
They had some more fun of some of te men looking like they're twins too, before they left.

Back at the bar with a few more drinks, dancing (and falling over), chatting and teasing... before they left PD.

iirc, there was (may be even is) a bug in which beacons don't use control/energy.
That might be enough?

Other then that... if you can't place attachment control/power items, you'll have no luck working with salvage build items

I've come to the conclusion that... chibi's are cute... (except Isaac, as he can't be cute )

Considering the Forum malfunction over the weekend, we have discussed and decided that we'll accept any entry posted before Wednesday ends (by UK time).
So, post before Midnight on Wednesday and you're still in the running.

This mostly because we realise some people only have the ability to post over the weekend.
Hopefully, this should allow those to make arrangements (as hopefully they can read this at least).

We will NOT extend it any further, but we WILL allows PMed submissions in case of further board failure *knocks on wood*

PS. We hope to be able to announce the winners within a week after Wednesday (hopefully before the weekend).
How ever, considering the excellent entries so far... we may be needing more time (RL has a tendancy of sticking an oar in as well), in that case we humbly ask your patience.

Last night...


Roselin had dressed up to go to Pocket D, why? Who knows, she'd probably say it was a random decision, other might say differently. Sat at the bar, waiting for people... any people she would say, others might say differently. Sarah arrived first (not counting the lot speeding by) and there was a tense moment... but it soon passed and they chatted amicably about their day and... the day before.
They were both pleasantly surprised by the other's gifts, though Roselin thought the forget-me-not was a bit over the top but Sarah quite liked it.
Before long Mort came along and joined in the chatting, which turned mostly to him (but whose fault is that?) and people came dribbling in to the bar.
In time, Sarah became uncomfortable with the amount of people, so Rose suggested to move to the side, which they did and talked a bit more before Roselin dragged Sarah off to the dance floor to teach her some moves

Sarah's balance learned in combat and such made her a good student, if a bit uncomfortable. But she learned fast and the two quite enjoyed the dancing and light chatting.

After a while, they left the dance floor to get a drink, and met with Nick and some others. Nene showed up as well.
That being devoid of a tender, Sarah suggested Roselin take the position again, which she did and poured drinks for people.

I can't really remember topics... but chatting was being done, Carrion Paw was trying his trade on Nene, showed his produce to Rapicity? Nick asked Sarah if she had cheered up (and if Roselin had anything to do with it ) which she had (Roselin's flowers on Valentines and the dance went a long way) And that Zeyna hadn't been around to get her present. This made Roselin a little nervous and got a shaky left hand... but maintained that she was fine.
Before long the crowed moved to the Monkey bar.
Though Rose and Sarah were a little later as Rose was tending to one last patron.
When they arrived, Nick of course couldn't help but ask a very leading question, which was answered with a 'no comment'

Roselin took Nick aside for a moment to explain her shaky hand, she has a problem with wanting to possess pretty jewellery. So she told Nick to keep a watchful eye and slap her if need be, should she make a move on the gem.

Once back, more random chatting. Sarah claimed to have RWS (Rose Withdrawal Symptoms) when Roselin asked "did you miss me?"
During the random chatting, Paw was making his fortune and Sarah moved in to hold Rose's hand, ending up leaning against her and resting her head on Rose's shoulder.
They moved to sit on a sofa, cuddling. Arc found them there and chatted a little with them, also saying he wouldn't tell Shydow Arc did offer drinks, but when he conjured up (or recalled or what ever) a glass of wine for Rose, she didn't accept on the grounds of involved magic
Sarah was acting a little weird as she sat cuddled with Roselin, claiming a head ache, though it was probably something to do with Sarah2 (or perhaps Roselin? )
It did eventually get the attention of Nick who was over at the bar chatting with Jemma.
Light but persistant teasing ensued before Sarah went to powder her nose, and as Roselin was feeling the call of nature too, she went with her.

It might be an idea to lvl up outside meets when you're tagging behind for some reason.

Say like... you're lvl 5 and they're lvl 7 or so...
You could then choose to take the weaker position in the team (should allows for interesting RP, right?) or you could lvl up to keep the lvls more equal.

Last night...

Roselin found Sarah1 moping in Pocket D and they chatted a bit. They talked about this and that before Sarah asked Roselin to help her retrieve something from a lockbox or something. Sarah wasn't paying much attention during the briefing, but they went and kicked Arachnos behind. Then Roselin picked the lock like an expert (well, she is ) and they could go.

Afterwards, Sarah helped Roselin with her side of the story, saving the world side by side

Later they were having their victory drinks and chatted some more.
X-Savior and Velvet Spider came and chatted along too (thought Velvet was rather quiet), X was a bit grouchy, and growly at anyone he didn't know, so...
Ah well, after the testosterone had settled a bit he came after the ladies who had moved away.

More chatting, topic of the evening seemed to be Shydow's status as Sarah's boyfriend...
After a bit Roselin and Sarah went to 'the powder room', and had a private chat. Which lasted long enough for X-Savior to get worried.

Last night Roselin was at PD and met with Sarah2 and talked a bit with her... admittedly mostly about Sarah1...
Roselin also managed to make fun of Arrow Flame a bit

As she headed to the side to contact Sarah1 on her descrete com device she was given for testing and was found useful.. Mort tried to chat Roselin up. She accomodated it a little but was mostly not in the mood for teasing and left to talk with Sarah1. She did realise after the fact that hugging Sarah2 wasn't the best thing, for either of them.

In Paragon, Sarah was quickly allowed to enter by a worried father. Knowing her to be a friend of Sarah and an aquantance of good repute with him (at least I assume). Roselin having emotional bagage of that weekend herself (in IC story thread later!) pushed her own worries aside as she tried her best to comfort and help Sarah.

Meeting the parents the following morning was a little awkward, though... Still, she thinks she helped.

Apart from the food, none of those items are things Grav can create.
And besides.. the explosives would be sub standard compared to her spells

I think I've learned from this in making my other character less powerful on the epic scale.
Sure, they're good enough at what they do, but nothing overly extraordinary.

... I just realised that my two other characters I play more at the moment are well to do (not insanely wealthy, but still...) and/or have access to lots of resources.
That is a form of Godmoding too...

My main... yes I still think of her as my main despite not playing her as often...

She's a mage, rather gifted by birthright and choice. Although she did go through a learning process. Some things she learned from other characters (like conjuring objects from thin air..), other things she's learned herself through research and studies.

There are 4 things that make her one of the most powerful 'not officially god'-characters at GG.

2 are her birthright: Talent baked in to her DNA, and the family heirloom: the library.
third is her ability and willingness to learn (spells, rituals and such) both to set herself a goal and to help others
fourth is her Kheldian Peacebringer which she gained through circumstances. Namely her love being the one that carries an old friend oh her kheldian and her compassion and willingness to help... she herself didn't like the idea of having a 'parasite' in her body and mind.

Maybe my character is the second strongest magical being on the world... I wouldn't claim such, I'd just say she's strong enough. I still play it so she needs time and effort to do most power stunts, or something new. She and Azuria are professional friends and consult each other on magical subjects... actually, I think that'd be the 5th... her network of information at MAGI.

start up with the Oversight Centre and the basic 50k rooms, when you have enough and want to upgrade, do so in steps and with extra prestige to spare just in case. I'm not entirely sure the base editer can handle the contents of the containers very well...

Yesterday… (Part2)

Roselin made her way in to Pocket D from the ‘hero’ entrance. Having no licence, she was give a token that stated she entered there, so could leave through there as well.

She met Sarah and Nick at the bar and they chatted a little about how they were before relocating because of the crowd, which was in Nick’s eyes the reason he’s only ‘OK’ and nod ‘good’.

They relocated to the smaller bar at the back, which lacked a bartender…
Roselin got behind the counter and started serving them drinks as they talked. She was feeling generous after her big score.
The three of them chatted about just about anything except Sarah’s current run of problems.
As the evening passed on, people arrived and joined the chatting, after being offered drinks by Roselin. Roselin was slightly amazed by the number of people who didn’t want alcohol, and thus declined a drink stating that but then took one of Roselin’s non-alcoholic suggestions. (She did ask for $50 for an orange juice, which was funny for a moment ) Meanwhile, Sarah became more and more uncomfortable about Roselin… Which was to do with Sarah2’s time chatting and receiving two gifts at Rose’s apartment.

Nick noticed something was off with Sarah, and investigated and relayed to Rose that Sarah was uncomfortable about her… Roselin took Sarah aside for a private chat in which they worked out some if not most of their issues. They went back up to say goodbye to Nick and co before heading off together.

Yesterday… (part1)


Roselin arrived in Paragon as a business tourist. As such she did some sight seeing and met with some business contacts.


No, she did not rob a bank, a competitive jewellery store or what ever!
Funny thing about the jewellery market in Port Oakes (and surrounding islands) is that the stores generally do more purchases then sales there. This has to be balanced, so the sales must be elsewhere.

Later in the day she went to an appointment she made with Mister James Patriot, the father of Sarah (Lady) Patriot, to sell the centre piece of her collection to sell. It was a magical sword which was embellished and empowered through the use of gems, making it also Roselin’s field.

After some amicable chatting they got down to business and Roselin managed to get a bigger profit then she had thought possible… it helps to know the family

Afterwards they chatted some more, mostly about Sarah and the problems surrounding her.
Sarah keeps a lot of secrets, it seems… but then James is keeping secret that he’s back in the hero’s saddle.
At one point James asked a serious question…

This rather then "suggestions?". Although the later might bring slightly better content, the first is a great deal quicker. And with this being the deadline day (though I could be mistaken, not really following the thread), speed is best, imo.

Last night...

Roselin met with Sarah2 in Pocket D and chatted a little about how they were. Then Roselin asked if she'd mind a private chat and they talked about some of the problems with Sarah1 and 2, other complications and such.

Later that evening Roselin took Sarah2 home for a drink and to give her the costume she ordered for her to wear while keeping under Feyth's radar. Also a useful tool was given to Sarah2 that no doubt saw use right after she got 'home' after leaving Rose's.
