Could we get someone to look at hero v villain balance on the organized type of scale, ie sg v vg.
Right now villains may work allright in zones when looking at datamining, but that really doesnt look at the context of the situation itself. What really happens when both sides are organized and prepared i.e. on equal ground heroes blow away villains.
I understand completley that any pvp changes have to be done with their effects on pve in mind since that is a larger portion of the game. However there are some changes that could be done to bring the gap between heroes and villains closer together without having a signifigant effect if any at all on pve.
I've actually pme'd posi on this in detail, but he never responded, and i doubt he ever actually read it.
If the situation of organized villain pvp group activity is any indication there are serious descrepancys that have cost a number of subscriptions over the course of the last year. Just about every major pvp group has abandoned villains as of this summer because of the imbalances which have not been addressed. -

I havent read this thread, and i dont plan on reading it, what i have seen are the posts from posi, and i would like to give my opinion on it as a customer that pays for 3 accounts each month.
I don't like this at all.
One of the things i like best about the "epics" in coh is how much fun and how much it changes a character when you respec from one epic to another.
Title, or how you get them aside patron powers are the equivalent of coh epics, regardless of the differences. Making them permanent is a very bad choice for one very important reason, fun. The same thing constantly and never being able to change it will get stale. This is my opinion as a customer, there are 3 ways i can express my opinion. I can do it on the forums, through pm's to the devs, or with my wallet. To me being locked into powers over the long run is not fun. I will not cancel right away, but people only stay as long as theyre enjoying themselves.
Another problem i have with permanent patron powers is even with numbers and info given, by the time someoen actually gets the power to mess around with the choice will be locked. Yes, someone could use the test server for the first power if they are awarded the same as coh (41,44,47,49). But what about the later powers. Is someone supposed to play 6 levels without training up just so they can copy over to the test server and experience the 3rd and 4th teir powers without commiting permanently to a particular patron.
What if the numbers change down the road? Will people still be commited to a particular patron, even though the reason why they may have commited in the first place no longer exists?
I don't want this to be a oh [censored] i quit post, but i dislike very much the idea of a permanent power "set" for a number of reasons, and if it does negativley affect my experience enough i will take my $45 a month elsewhere. -
Leave and exit the mish if theres a +1 void or quantum? Bah, thats what quantum flight+ seekers or incandescent strike is great for. Either put out the seekers, go up in qf, let them knock it down then unphase and take it out, and or go in unphase and hit with incandescent strike, sure you'll take a hit during the incandescent animation, but you've got a heal, and the dull pain, it wont one shot you unless its a boss, it's too bad their attacks cant be phased around anymore. Long as incandescent strike hits the target should be stunned allowing you to finish it off quickly.
Anyways though was an intersting read from a different perspective than i used to play mine in i3. -
I've ran in with increase density, speed boost, rooted and granite running on my 40 ss/stone brute and immediatley had all my toggles removed, yet i had full end, and was not stunned. Of course i was immediatley torn to bits. Something is wrong when a spawn is that effective at ripping you a new one. The mag protection of id+rooted+ granite should cover what you need to face from the alpha strike of any spawn. The main problem is not so much that all my defensive toggles were immediatley removed, but that you have to wait defenseless for them to recharge while you take attacks.

I'm just wondering if the usefulness of superior invisiblity is being decreased (less def, supressing def and stealth), are its endurance costs being decreased as well? Before issue 4 it was basically a worthless power since illusion also has group invisibility. Although it was an endurance pig the defense and ability to attack made its cost worthwhile. Is superior invisibility going to become worthless again?

I've been playing a illusion trick arrow controller since friday night. It's 23 now and i have to say its one of the most fun characters i've played in a long time.
The reduced debt also goes very well with the ambushes and other little twists in missions.
I know many people are complaining that trick arrow should be a controller primary or not be a controller secondary. Please do not make this happen. Issue 5 may be kneecapping most of my characters. But atleast there is one fun thing i'm looking forward to playing when the new issue hits.
However it does seem like controller powers are autohit (ex flash arrow) and the defender version misses. This should be looked into and fixed.
