I wonder how much lag will those jet packs cause

any ideas on how best to slot speed boost, mine is still slotted for pre-ED? Maybe I should ask that on the defenders thread...
[/ QUOTE ]
It doesn't really matter how you slot it for the Hami raid as the effect that it's useful for in that circumstance (increase of recharge rate) is unenhanceable -

Thats what I love about deceive, as long as you stay out of aggro range, you will never get aggro with it.
[/ QUOTE ]
And superior invisibility will pretty much guarantee that you will stay out of aggro range in 95% of situations (us Illusionists are truly blessed)

I defeated a mastermind once by making his pets turn on him
Great fun

With deceive I can 100% guarantee that a sapper will not aggro on me when a fight starts. With a hold if it misses I get aggro straight away. I generally combine the two - deceive first to prevent aggro followed by a hold to remove the sapper from the fight.

I assume Siphon Speed has no affect on Fly speed as I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere?
[/ QUOTE ]
It affects all movement speeds, including that of Fly. I have my fly slotted 2 x flight speed and 1 x end reduction and I notice a definite increase in speed when I've used siphon speed (or more accurately, I notice a very annoying drop off in flight speed when my siphon speed wears off)
-
He means, is it the fire primary powerset or the secondary powerset you want help with, or is it both? For instance, I'm Invulnerability/Mace (Inv primary and mace weapon secondary) so are you Fire/Fire, Fire/other or other/Fire?

That thread's a Union plot to undermine our Christmas Hami raid... there can be no other explanation

I should be available for taxi service again

I'm going to focus on lvling my controller for the time being so I'll have to withdraw from taxiing for any potential PDP's -
[ QUOTE ]
hopefully this time we will have enough controllers/holders
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll be doing my best to get my controller up to >lvl 45 in time for this -
Yeah, I picked up repel too in my last respec for use in PvP and since then I've hardly PvP'ed at all. I very rarely use it in missions so I reckon I'll be saying goodbye to it too whenever I respec again
-
I don't think you can get it as fast as fly so I wouldn't like to use it over long distances

As ive heared from several kinetics players, its a good choice for us kinetics to pick Siphon Speed with Hover, and later on, Inertial Reduction. Now, im trying to get lvl 24, so i can respec to Siphon Speed and Hover. Is this really good and comparable to Fly? Or would it be a wrong choice? And is Hasten no longer necessary then?
[/ QUOTE ]
I use Siphon Speed and ordinary run for most of my travelling these days. I still have fly though for when my first siphon misses and I want to get moving. The only time I use hover when I've siphoned speed is on mission maps for a very controllable and speedy way of getting around.
I still have hasten on my controller and can usually have 2 to 3 siphon speeds up at all times. My powers come up stupidly fast at times so it's possible I could survive quite well without hasten. Then again, there have been a lot of occasions where my phantom army recharges just in time for me to throw it out there for a last gasp defence so I might not survive quite well without hastenI'd put it down to individual choice and playing style really

Mace is a slow starting set, mostly because the third available attack (clobber which is available at level 10) isn't much of an attack at all. It's more use as a method of removing a minion or lt from the fight for a while (85% chance to disorient or something like that) than as a means to do damage. It can be a long haul from lvl 10 to level 20, when the next damage-doing mace attack (jawbreaker) becomes available. I enjoyed using clobber a lot pre-level 24 but I also picked up a power pool attack, simply because brawl, bash, pulverise and clobber has to be the most pathetic attack chain for any lvl 19 tank to be using
My advice to any mace tanker at that level would be to pick up air superiority to give yourself something to do in a fight and then respec it out later if you want to.
Another factor which may explain why some people wouldn't enjoy mace too much is that it doesn't do as much damage compared to the other tank secondary powersets. Pretty much any other tank I team with out-damages me and this has held true all the way from lvl 1 to 50.
Mace is a good set with some fun single target and aoe powers, but it can be disappointing if you're hoping to contribute to the damage output of the team. And that haul from lvl 10 to lvl 20 can be a killer -
Bob's pockets are now considerably lighter, with all magic and tech salvage passed on to people who can use it
What's the story with the mutant, natural and science salvage? Do they count as arcane, tech or a little of both?
-
At the moment I have the following salvage items on Righteous Bob:
8 magic
3 mutant
6 natural
20 science
35 technology
All of this is going free to the first person to arrange a meeting with me in-game -
PHEP doesn't have a base and it's not on our list of things to do at the moment so if anyone wants to take my salvage off my hands just send me a tell in-game and I'll be happy to pass it on to someone who can use it (Bob is the character with the salvage)

So many fun powers to pick from in Illusion/kinetics.... tis a wonderful conundrum
-
I should be available for taxi service again

Just a quick tip for the Illusion powerset, for my travel power I decided on Flight, so instead of taking hover at lvl 6 I took air superiority instead.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sound advice; I did the same with my controller and only dropped it when I respecced after picking up Phantom Army -
Unfortunately not. I've had fly on my controller and only picked up siphon speed with my issue 6 respec. I'm tempted to pick up inertial reduction in place of fly when I next respec and rely on siphon speed for low level zones, inertial reduction for high level zones where my chance of hitting with siphon speed is low and then I'll have siphon speeded hover available for in-mission manouvering

3212.7 hp after dull pain use - I won't complain about the patch too much
