The problem with old domino's is that the crust took on the flavor of whatever it came into contact with. This was a problem, since pizza boxes are made out of cardboard. I've tried the new recipe, and it's not too bad.
-
Starsman did some charts, and right now defenders and corruptors are very close in solo damage output. Exactly how they compare depends on the specific powersets/builds. +damage will favor the corruptor and -res will favor the defender.

I suggest this. The recharge bonuses aren't as good, but the powers are enhanced in better ways. Amplify was replaced with frostworks, since aim doesn't help sonic's damage output as much as it does in other sets.

I just woke up from my nap about twenty minutes ago. We're having pizza for dinner today, and I am completely uninterested. Seriously, what is wrong with me? I used to be completely ecstatic every time I ate pizza. I think this is a sign that I am no longer capable of enjoying life.
-
I don't have a clue what the deal was then. Best I can come up with is that he thought you were making fun of his damage output by holding his hand on every enemy.
-
-
He might have been asking you to attack a different target than the one he was attacking. Depending on his damage output, this might have been a good idea for you.
-
Entropic Chaos and Decimation are pretty much the exact same set except that decimation is better and more expensive. Decimation is a lot more affordable than it used to be though.
As for the chance to heal, it's not significant at all. The chance of it happening is so low that on a defender it's equivalent to getting back two and a half hit points every time you attack. Pretty useless on a kinetics who can hit themselves with a powerful heal whenever they want. -
In my opinion, the office and lab maps are the two most balanced ones for most things.
-
I think this is the second time mids has been the cause for screwy numbers in this thread. The first one being from me.

Sorry for the double post. My version of Mids (database version 16.1147) shows defender nova doing 176 damage on average. I'm not sure where the 90 damage number is coming from, because my version says that even if none of the random extra damage hits then the power still does 108 damage.

Quote:I spoke a little too hastily. Like tankers, defenders have some minor-moderate issues around the 16-28 area because their important attack powers are in their secondary and come much later.Once Bio hit 28 and picked up Tesla Cage, he did considerably better than he had been doing up to that point, but unless content gets much more difficult in the 30s
BUT...this is going to sound sort of disrespectful, but I'm completely serious when I say a large part of the problem is that you're electric. It's a set whose good powers are the first three ones and the last three ones with a large dead zone right in the middle of them. If both of your characters had the same buff/debuff set and the controller had earth control, then the difference between the two would be very obvious. -
Quote:QFT. Controllers outdamaging defenders only occurs at the upper levels thanks to the epic pools and inventions. The most damaging thing a defender can get out of their epics is electric fence. If they had a respectable melee damage modifier, and actually got some of the good blaster melee attacks (energy bunch, bone smasher) then things would be very different. As it is, they get the worst melee attacks they possibly can (total focus and thunderstrike) and they're on double their normal recharge times. It's not unusual for an epic power to have an increased recharge time than it would normally have, but the exact pattern isn't easy to figure out.My kin/sonic is sadly not as fast as my plant/kin, nor as safe, but that is almost entirely due to how overpowered controller epics still are (especially stone, I mean perma capped hp, s/l softcap, huge st burst, and good aoe). But pre epics the plant wasn't as fast, but was safer. I don't blame defenders for controllers being too good though.

Hmm, five weight classes? Not sure what the point of that is, but I bet I can own everyone at LOLweight.
-
I can see where you're coming from, but the fact of the matter is that the viewpoint is wrong. Archetypes and powersets are balanced based on what is brought to the team, not based on who benefits from it.
-
Do you guys mean powers that extend too far beyond the character, beyond what an aura would normally be capable of?

Quote:Power bolt- 180.7 damage, with a 0.8 modifier that would be 222.4Think about it... a fully capped Defender (after a large FS) barely does more than a self buffed tanker (build up).
The argument is that if you buff defender damage people won't play blasters. However, when they buffed tanker damage, people still played scrappers. I think the same would still be true.
power burst- 383.2 damage, with a 0.8 modifier that would be 471.6 (this is enough to one shot a minion, and is more damage than a kin/energy corruptor could do even after double stacking FS)
beheader (a 4 second attack like power bolt)- 124.2 damage with build up and 99% slotting
gash (a 10 second attack like power burst)- 243.3 damage with build up and 99% slotting
A fully capped defender does about 50% more damage than a tanker using build up. After your proposed change, they would be doing about 84% more damage, almost double the amount. -
Would this really be worth the large amount of time it would take the powers and tech people to do something like this?
-
-
Rain of Arrows does NOT have an accuracy bonus. The accuracy bonus shown under real numbers does not apply to the pseudo-pet summoned by the power, just like how ice storm and fire rain do not really have an accuracy bonus. Slotting for accuracy would be a good idea, unless you plan on always using the power alongside aim and/or build up, in which case you wouldn't need any accuracy slotting.
-
It's really not feasible to stack a lot of melee defense on most builds. It's the hardest type to get of the positional types. What you have right there is about as good as you can do. If you sacrifice the slotting of a few powers, you could get yourself up to 30.7% by six slotting titanium coating in sonic barrier and dark embrace. The only way to get more than that is to six slot tactics, boxing, or brawl, and that would require you to seriously underslot powers that need it badly.
