Believe there's been a similar post like yours but anyways. Sometimes it can be hard to find groups but sometimes its easy it sorta depends. If you play after midnight on a weekday it will be even harder for ya. I usually only get to log on at around 11pm gmt on weekdays and at that time its hard to get a group. Luckely i have a couple of SG members that don't mind teaming with me for a few hours before bed.

Personally i found the US servers more populated when i played there. Not sure how many players play on Union & Defiant. I'm sure someone else here can answer that question.

Hope you get the answers you're looking for. Best bet if you do decide to play defiant or union is to find people that you enjoy to play with and that play at similar times as you.

What has been your funniest PvP moment to date?

Personally mine involved me goofing off. I was feeling silly the day i got my santa hat and felt like going to sirens call and showing off to the villains so I jumped over towards the villains base wearing nothing more then a hat and sexy red briefs. I stood outside their base dancing in all my glory with no buffs or any toggle running completely expecting to be mauled any second. Surely enough it didn't take long for the first Stalker to try and AS me but luckely he missed after which he tried to tank me. Well a few acc debuffs and some transference send him running. I wasn't looking for a fight so I just started dancing again.

Up came a different Stalker and amasingly she missed her AS as well! She however quickly retreated so I resumed my dancing. Not long after two other villains appeared and swooped in to try and ruin this defenders fun. I believe one was a corrupter & the other was a MM. I used transference on the corrupter and he seemed to back off a bit til the MM started in on me. After a little while i realised I was pushing my luck here and went running, after which i got chased down by 4 villains and eventually got slaughtered.

I couldn't believe my luck though and how long i was able to hold my ground on that tanker outside their base. It had me lmao, part of it was prolly due to the fact i was doing it in that costume. I think Santa was holding his hand over me that night cuz he liked my cossie

Anyways would love to hear your funniest PvP moment, may it be a awesome fight or laughable death or just pure ownnage

I do have repel and personaly I've had it work about 0% of the time against AS. I was really thinking of respecing repel out as I see no use for it except amusement factor plus it messes up our heal if we try and heal ourselves. If anyone has found any good use for repel in pvp aspect please let me know as I'd love to hear it

Could be that the stalkers on defiant just know how to work their thing and thats why it's useless

On a more serious note. Expect to be a priority target being one of the more squishier AT and I have seen some rather good blasters

Yeah I don't get the stalkers are overpowered theme myself. I don't play a stalker myself but I fall to them regularly(ask any of the regular stalkers in siren on defiant server) . I'm a kinetic/dark defender and as such I have no protection against their AS.

Now I accept I have no real chance to avoid faceplanting against them but does that mean they are overpowered? Not in my opinion. They have their stealth and AS going for them and thats it.

I can't think of a fair way to balance the pvp rep points. Some AT are more geared towards PvP then others and will therefore always have a higher rep (dunno why stalkers come to mind )

The whole losing rep when being killed would suck the fun out of it for me personally. If its shared amongst the team it would suck the fun out of it even more so. That would remind me of group debt experience as in EQ2. Say you get a person new to the whole PvP on your team or one of those that wont listen to advice and he keept running of chasing some bait whilst getting killed over and over again. Now i know he couldn't count as much if he keeps dying continuously but still would bug me if i was on a team with people that scatter about and get picked off one by one.

I'd love a better rep system but I really can't think of one atm

For me its all about being a good sport. I'm not as regular a pvper as some on these boards althought I do like to visit it somewhat often.

I wouldn't attack someone fighting in pve if i see them already engaged. Although depending on the situation. Say we were fighting and a mob should stroll by and aggro us, unless he blatenly stops the fight with me I'm not going to hold back. This sorta stuff happens and one debt experience isn't gonna kill ya.

If i see two fighting each other I'll be joining in. Its a PvP zone thats what its there for. Unless its been announced in broadcast that they are having a duel, then I'll just watch

If there's an unprepared person resting or like you mentioned a MM without pets. Yeah I'll engage them, reason being, if you are summoning/resting and dont want to be bothered when doing so, head to your base I try not to run back to my base although it has happened on occations where there weren't any other escape routes. I'm there to pvp and if someone is about to beat me they deserve the kill So if i rest outside the base i fully expect someone to take advantage of my weak situation.

And restrain from foul language and name calling etc. Just have a good time and if it gets to be to much just leave.

Botty you just want an easy target

If you see a squishy defender wearing briefs and a silly christmas hat approach with extreme causion! He's very dangerous and will get jiggy with ya if you're spotted !

Best way to deal with this menace is to give him a hug or dance with him as to avoid any further confrontations!


On a lighter note, lighten up peeps and peepettes its christmas even in the pvp zones !

I'll pretty much go with original posters of course depending who i play and what the certain situation is.

I'd go for ya flicknife but only cuz I know your AT is similar to mine except swap the ice for dark and would be a fun little fight.

It's just a shame that it seems the majority of those villains that go to sirens are stalkers (least from what I've seen the trend being) I can relate though as stalkers are prolly the most safe AT to play for PvP and a lot of peeps hate losing (who doesn't )....Now don't hang me on that statement, thats just how i see it. I could be wrong as I haven't played one yet

The times I've been in sirens sure have been rough being a kinetic def. I've found myself at the end of stalkers AS many a times, quite rightly so as i would go for the easy kill myself

Yup defenders are loved so you'll have to get used to deadly hugs, over and over again hehe. Believe me, coming from another defender I'm Immune to em by now

I joined the fight a little late but was still good fun, managed to get a couple of SO's and did a few face planting, well a lot at the end of the night when stalk was ordering all villains to kill me

Wish i could be there wednesday for the lag fest but I'll be working, oh well one less hero to add to the lag

I hear ya, being a kinetic def myself i do like to give my fellow defenders in teams Density and keep it on them. As i know we lack protection ourselves in form of stun/kb etc resists. Nothing worse then wobblings around from a malta stun during the whole fight just a small example

I'm so looking forward to this! I get to be so close to flicknife yet unanble to make a move. Glares will have to do then i suppose!

If that was the case I'd have to say all stalkers were cheating cuz they can AS and kill me in one hit when i dont have a toggle on..pfft please thats just being silly and don't you listen to silly peeps or sore losers
