And some (like you, me, and many others) seem to think way to much of their own postings. I personally find it funny that the more posts a person has, the more seriously they tend to take themselves.

Quote:Fat chance of that. GG likes to make broad statements that can be interpreted several ways on any given occasion but, she almost never seems to back them up. I will give her a little bit of credit, she is correct more often than simple luck would indicate, but such vague statements are generally pretty easy to interpret any way you want to make them true. And can you give us a link that actually shows what you just said and it isn't just conjecture based on the single fact that a BAF raid will come out?
Still though, this one is a little more specific than most, so it might be a leak from the last M&G. Either way, she won't be able to back it up and I'll wait and see what happens. -
You might be right truegentleman and Knightward, but if we suddenly don't hear anything out of Posi for six months we will know why, just like with BABs.
-
Not sure a TF involving breaking out or breaking someone else out of the BAF is really epic material. It's already pretty easy to get in and out of the island facility as is. Besides, it really is a little too similar to LR breaking the villains out of the Zig to feel original.

Quote:Yea, I noticed that too.Is it me or does she say the same thing for each answer but in a different way?
I was wondering if I was the only one that read that into it too. Guess not. -
Decent article overall. Pretty well written and informative on the background, without really telling us anything new.

Quote:Fair enough. I was just trying to say that the genre is more important than you were giving it credit for. I have one particular game, that was given to me, that for ease of play and general scope can be fun. Only problem is I do not like the overall genre and play it maybe once every other year or so IF I can't find something else I want to play OR find a decent book to read. I will also admit though, that the genre WILL NOT keep me playing a game if it is not fun to play either though.Well obviously the genre had some appeal, it's not like I said "Hey, I despise superheroes and everything they stand for but I'll try this anyway". But there was plenty of other MMOs (and games) from genres I also like around. The fact it's a superhero MMO isn't that much of a clincher for me (which is what Lascher is saying)
What drew me to the game chiefly was the fact my now-wife was going around the world for 6 months and I needed something to occupy myself and a friend was playing this. If he'd been playing [something-else-which-cannot-be-mentioned] I'd have tried that instead.
What's kept me playing mostly is the same sort of thing that made me throw 100s of hours into single player RPGs like [Name withheld to protect the innocent] and [Name withheld to protect the innocent], lots and lots of builds and power combos to mess with. -
I am neither here nor there on this argument, but let's be honest. For most people the "genre" is what drew them to this game in the first place. You probably would not even know how enjoyable it was to play this game if the genre had no appeal for you.

Quote:Good review and dead-on in my opinion. It's a little late, but this is my review of this feature.
http://battlerockx.blogspot.com/2010...gins-pack.html
Summary: looks nice, but I think it's still not worth the $9.95 price tag. -
Quote:I'm more than a little confused by that post myselfI just reread this and I'm still scratching my head on this one.... and I just respec'd my L50 just a moment ago in-game
You don't lose any "bonus" by respec'ing a L50 using L47's. If I'm not mistakened, the bonuses stay the same. You're not changing your level under any circumstance. Unless you're referring to the "Show More Detailed Info" button showing your information incorrectly. -
You MunkiLord, will get an apology from me when you follow LISAR's rather disgusting suggestion. Of course, then I would have to have you arrested for SA.
-
Tell me LISAR, what exactly is wrong with expecting people to say "I am sorry" when they admit to a mistake? I would argue that the real wrong is accepting half of an apology when it could be a full and appropriate apology by adding that statement. Didn't your parents teach you to do just that, say "I am sorry" when you were wrong? I know mine did and I teach the same to my own children, it is only right after all.

Quote:That wasn't a complaint, but an example of a certain persons ability to "misrepresent", whether intentional or not. Personally I could care less about dance emotes. I think they are lame in general. I do care about someone saying we would get something in a paid expansion, which I bought, and it mysteriously ending up to be part of a separate paid pack instead. Are you still going to be complaining about this ridiculously minor detail a year from now?
Oh and first after a Posi Post!!!!!! -

Only one thing worries me about this update and it is this quote from the GR homepage:
"Every major content update will reveal new Incarnate abilities."
Does this mean every Issue will have a new Incarnate slot OR only large Issues will have a new Incarnate slot? Not to be too picky but if we only get one or two slots a year for the next few years, then I will be disappointed.
Other than that though, this stuff looks amazing. -
Quote:He did say in his next post though, that he was interested in two auras and one cape, which like me, changes his perception of the price point of this pack from a less than a buck per item to more than three bucks per item. I will go on to say that there is no way I would add at least one of these items to every one of my toons (or even most of my toons), so that lowers my perception of the value of this Pack even more. Fair or not, that's just the way it is for me.I'm saying his perception doesn't carry much weight as he admits auras and capes aren't his thing.
With the Party Pack there was legitimacy to the griping about the price point.
With this one, I'm not seeing it.
A buck an effect for some REALLY NICE effects? C'mon now. -
Your trying to argue perception Nether and you can never win that argument with someone. Fact is he doesn't feel it is worth the money without more added too it. I can see his point personally because I was only really interested in 1 cape and 2 auras, which for me would raise the price of that pack to $3.00 per item. I don't perceive those three items being worth that much. You can try to argue that point with me if you want but you would only be blowing a lot of hot air around since you will not change my perception of this pack.
-
-
While I partially agree with you here Nether, I have to say that buying a set of capes that do not support both long and short versions is a little surprising. Especially since the standard seems to be all the capes having both versions. I am actually pretty happy that I did not buy the pack now since short capes are the only ones I ever use and I was only interested in two auras.

Quote:My personal thought on this was that one the extra power that "City Traveler" allows you to get is very seldom a Game Changer(tm). It does help, but often not to the degree that most people think. I think the only place it may be even slightly overpowering is in the realm of PvP and I am not sure how much that really help. After all, most PvPers are all IO'd out anyways and their power is so far above an average toon it is just silly.Interestingly, I too thought the City raveler bonus would be a game-changer for may of my characters, but it has not really worked out that way. Very few of my characters actually end up taking advantage of the ability, because a) There's almost always something "better" to pick at levels 6-12, b) with all the other things that make travel simpler (bases/base tp'ers, Pocket D, jetpacks etc) I usually don't take travle powers until later in the game and c) I like many of the pre-reqs to the travel powers.
This trend is mirrored by those in my SG with City Traveler unlocked. I think it's a case of "sounds better than it actually ends up being." -
I was getting on to see if there was any new info about Issue 19 and was kinda disappointed by the main website. Then I came into the forums and saw this thread. Not quite so disappointed then.
On top of that when I logged out the other day a huge download started up. Put that together with a friend, that attended the M&G, telling me they are aiming for a Nov 16th drop of Issue 19 and now I am happy. Altogether that aim *seems* to be pretty good. Really hoping it works out. -
Quote:Didn't you say you were going to do that back in June? To be honest I am sympathetic with you, but they will only listen AFTER you take the money away and then complain via customer support.Do you guys at NCsoft know that Brazilian costumers can´t buy going rogue? or any boosters?
Did u know that the brazilian community on the game is over?
When did you plan to do something, remove Level up games as your retailer or you gonna keep losing more money.
The number of friends i introduced to COH that left the game is over 12, just because u can´t buy adds.
I am tired of complaining to NCsoft support or level up games support they all say, that its all being take cared, since 2008 and nothing.
I think ill have to cancel the game as well, move to another -
Probably because no matter how far off topic YOU think it is, the fact is it is still discussing the topic, which is the Halloween Event and the badges we can get from it.
