  1. Hey guys,

Thanks for all ur replies, due to the theoretical explanation of Filth I now understand the MAG indicator.

My brute has 3 slotted invincible and it seems to be ok now.
Longbow's stun must've been stacking and kicking off my unyielding... Now with the extra defense from invincible I'm mashing again

  2. was I lck'd ==> no, I was fighting lvl+1, lvl+2
BF --> using that trick, but they sure run out pretty fast :-(
Stun == disorient. ==> if that's the case m8, why the hell get I stunned? I have the mezz protection running all the time?
If it's the stacking of the 'stun' damage (whatever that may be),I'll need some defense after all :-(
Damn I was just looking to get aid self, and give up tough hide!

Tx for the help, keep it coming.... Need to find out what's wrong here

  3. Hey,
    Tx for the replies!

I do have unyielding (1 end, 3 damage res slotted), have a lvl50 inv/FM tank :-) (who btw never got stunned)
The problem is no toon really has stun protection, but this one is so squishy to it compared to my other brutes.
My EA feels so squishy, but never got stunned on his way to lvl40...
Is it perhaps cause the INV has no defense (except tough hide and invincible and the -5% from unyielding, that stack up the stun like suggested in the previous post)?

Does any1 has this problem 2?

    Tx,

    Mad Dave
  4. Hi Guys,

I have a lvl28 SS/INV brute, and this is the ONLY one of all my brutes that can't figth Longbow without getting stunned by every1 grp! It's very hard to get stunned by every grp, I even like fighting COT over longbow!!!

Just for the record, I'm not talking bout the end drains the special-ops can do with their EMP-grenade, but the nullifiers knocking me out!

IS THIS BUGGY or is the INV-set so easy STUNNED?
I have a lvl40 EA,FA, and SA and none of those seem to have this problem. Sure they get end-drained and die 2, but not at lvl28

  5. Hey,

I agree with what Filth said. If ur build has mainly defenses like EA, go for the aid self. I have a lvl40 FM/EA and respected tough out for aid self (slotted with 2 inter, 3 heals). I get a +520 heal when pressing it, never got interrupted :-)

On the other hand I have a resistance defense brute lvl27 (SS/INV), and here I'm very happy with the extra resistance, stacks nicely.

    Hope this helps

    Caps for brutes?

    Hey Guys,

My brute has a 85% resistance to slash/lethal, and I can't find the exact numbers of the CAP.
Several numbers can be found in the forums, from 75% to 90%

  7. Hey Guys,

    Tx for the replies!

Respected my SM/SA brute in 3 slotted swift (tx for that aweseome tip), stone skin and tough to reach the cap.
I have round 87%r esistance in granite now....
I though the cap on brutes was 90%, will post a new question for this on the forum! This build feels stronger than a 75% res anyway :-)

  8. Hey Guys,

Tx for the answers on my Mud pot question. I changed my mind bout mud pots and decided to fit it in my build.
I have 2 builds prepared which I tested on the test-server and both work great (when I bring along a kinetics corrupter lol)

The first build enables me to fight without granite as I have brimstone (fire/cold protection for 27% res.), The second build has 9% extra res to Smash/lethal damage. The second build brings the Smash/Lethal dmaages res on 85.6%! Kinda feels like an I4 INV Tank

I prefer the second , cause from lvl38 I spend most time in Granite...

Any sugegstion will be greatly appreciated.

  10. Hey Guys,

I have a lvl40 SM/SA brute, and am doubting to replace my Crystal Armor with Mud Pots.

I have Crystal armor slotted with 1 SO+3, so that gives me bout 15,4% defense against energy/neg.energy.

So should I give up the 15,4% defense for more aggro? It's better for the squishies I'm pulling more aggro right? Only question, can I take it? The Mud Pots should slow the attack rate, so that shoudl help....

  11. Hey dude,

Question : To get self heal, U need to take 2 powers, right? U need stimulate or aid other to get to aid self.

Which is the 2nd power ur willing to give up? All my tough enabled lvl40 brutes can only spare 1 power, not 2....

And YEAH a brute needs tough! Have 3 lvl40s of which 1 without tough and he's a lot squishier than the rest.

My SS/INV will not get tough hide, only 3.75% defense!go for hoover or CJ, and get 2.5% for free :-)

  12. Yow,

    I have a lvl38 stone/stone (feels like a tank with tough).
I'm slotting 'most' powers with 2 ACC, 2 ENDred, 2 Recharg, only Tremor had 1 DAM and 1 end red, cause it has the slowest recharge.

Without a kin (sb as replacement of RA), stone Melee is and end-ungry monster, certainly when boosted by hasten

  13. Hey Guys,

Aggree on What Tufty wrote, but have some comments.

I have a lvl33 stone/stone brute (have like 6 brutes), and this one is the strongest, I rely on taunt to get beat up and gain fury like hell... It's the only brute I have who's capable of using taunt without faceplanting :-) Hell I feel stronger than my Fire/Fire tank lol

I took hasten asap to get over the slooooooow power recharges. Also slotting my powers with loots recharge enh.

I also look for a kinetics to team with... with Speedboost ur invincinble! and a kin is the best Melee healer o'm all :P

I don't use mudpots cause it's too end hungry for my build.

I didn't take the stonefists, but went for boxing and took tough round lvl22... Every1 in my sg calls me the 'Suicidal Walking Wall'.

Also go for TP, U need it when ur rooted without a kinetics in team. With Speedboost U can move normal, but without Man U NEED TP. TP friend is a nice bonus:-)

  14. Burn = FUN

I like it on my lvl31 FA/DA Brute, it's very good when U team with a Dominator after a herd :-)
Also like it against an AV (they don't get scared away that easy), it's a nice additional damage (90% online when 3 recharged SO)

It not as good as in I4 onv COH, but face it guys... those days where 2 easy for a tank with burn....

    Evil Jared - lvl31 FA/DA Brute
  15. Hey,

    I haven't got a SS/FA brute, but have also a lvl31 DA/FA, so I know the fire defense :-)

Personally I took at lvl22 acrobatics, cause I just got bored (and [censored]) from all the knockback, I just couldn't do my 'smashing' with my feets are up in the air! So My suggestion get acrobatics earlier, it'll pay up.

All my attack powers are slotted asap with 6 slots, but I don't use damage (fury fury fury), I just hate missing, so I use 2 SO accuracy on all powers, and 3 recharge and 1 end reduction (U can discuss the recharge here, but I like to be able to hit'm continue, since my DA power hasn't got that much attack powers)

I took burn for more sentimental reasons (always liked it on coh), it's a nice addition, but not fury bounded, so damage is low :-(

ED : I see U take 6 slots of the same enhancement on some powers... Thumb rule after Enhancemente Diversification : max 3 of the same enh. Otherwise the extra gain is 2 low....

    Goodluck with ur Brute m8!
