Oooh, oooh, I know this one! It's flipped because of the little model sheet/character profile book Bayani is working up. Works better with the formatting if it's flipped around.

I'm still casting about for an idea.
It's still 3 days before I usually get some kind of inspiration...historically speaking. -

Knowing the model number of your computer would be helpful to determine if you have an AGP slot or PCIe. The two are totally different an incompatible and the GeForce FX 5200 is offered in both.

Most of the discussion is in the City Life forum, as this really isn't a question. There's a pretty big thread going on down there.

Quote:All very true. My statement was mostly just a word of caution to make sure it's going in the way it's supposed to go and a re-iteration of your point not to try to jam anything in if it doesn't seem to fit. Note, I did mention it's MUCH harder to screw it up now than it used to be.o.O
I don't think it's been possible to mis-situate a CPU for years, honestly. Intel CPUs, for instance, have a pair of notches on the sides near one end - if you try to set it in backwards or rotated, it just doesn't sit in the socket (and IIRC the 1366s are rectangular instead of square, so it'd look even more off-kilter if it were sideways.) AMD has pins missing in a non-symmetrical fashion (see the picture of Socket AM2+ here) so the CPU won't even sit in properly if it's not in correctly. -
The only marginally tricky bit to building your own PC is the part where you need to hook up all the case lights and the power button to the motherboard. In my experience the cords from the case are usually labeled differently from what the motherboard manual gives you and you sometimes need to puzzle out what goes where on the 15x2 block of pins.
Man, I hated that part. You're not going to damage anything if you hook up something wrong but it's a fairly annoying process.
Only other thing to be aware of is be careful situating the CPU and make absolutely sure that it's in there correctly before strapping on the heat sink/fan. It's a delicate (and expensive part) and you want to make sure not to damage it by accident. It's much harder to screw that up now than it used to be, but it's still worth being extra careful. -
Compatible cursors doesn't fix that. It fixes invisible mouse pointers in vista/windows 7 (although the game SHOULD automatically be selecting it in those situations)
The enhancement issue just is. There's no fix currently for it other than to not use an ATI card. Here's hoping it's one of the long standing ATI bugs that gets fixed in I17.
You get used to it...
EDIT: Forgot, if you want to try, it's actually a command line switch you add to the end of the shortcut (like how you get into the test server. Add "-compatiblecursors 1" to the end of the target of the shortcut (minus the quotes) outside the quotes that are already there.
Probably not going to help though :-/ -
Congrats to JohnnyKat on his immunity. Lots of very nice entries this month

That site is AWESOME.
Some fonts are free, some are paid. It might not have cover oriented type fonts (I think the one in your sig is a custom job, for example) but it has a lot of comic-y fonts. -
Oooh, right, that was the change I was thinking of. I knew they changed the upkeep triggers a couple of times...was having trouble remembering how they actually were now.

Huh. I wondered what she was up to. I might have to check this out... (Of course she's only in one episode according to IMDB...but...it appears to be worth it. *ahem* )

There are typically a couple of options but once you pick one of those options you're stuck. iMacs are laid out very much like a laptop in that all the chips are pretty much permanently attached to the motherboard.

it's been a while here, but doesn't the initial base plot still have free upkeep? So as long as he never expanded it it won't even bug him about that.

Voting ends tomorrow at midnight, if I understand correctly.

I'll trade you a Jacob for a lady gaga.
Come on, you know you want to. -

You either have 3 open missions, are on a mission architect arc (in between missions on the arc), in flashback mode (highly unlikely at level 20 I must admit) or on a TF.
I'm willing to bet it's the MA reason. -

In the interests of not bumping this continually, I'm personally bowing out here...but I'm just curious.
If you have or had no problem with the rule, why even bother continuing to bring it up other than just to stir up trouble? -

More art = more good.
Probably won't be a part of the vote and all, but you can be oggled at just the same -
