I'd have to agree. Having read the first 12-15 books, I'd have to say that a TV series would be more ideal. Just looking at the first book, we have a ton of characters that would need time to develop properly. Croyd Crenson himself is a complex and very involved character; it'd be a shame if his development were done in 5 minutes of screen time.

The Walking Dead has a regular letters column, answered by Robert Kirkman and usually one of the other writers (can't recall who, right offhand).
It's cool that he's so involved with his fanbase; Marvel and DC used to be that way.

Yes, but can he do the Christian Bale gravelly voice?

Quote:Out of curiosity...Vanessa DeVore is the last contact in the First Ward story arc.
One of the latter moral decisions you can make is whether to let Vanessa escape or turn her over to Mother. One of my toons is a beta Clockwork, who has always chosen Loyalist, as that's how he is programmed.
So, my question: Do they include this moral choice in the text of her arc, in effect Vanessa commenting on how she escaped from Mother? Or is it as if it never happened? -

Yes, the direction of all encompassing events, sorta like:
1. Alien invasion!
2. Alternate dimensional invaders!
3. Mystical takeovers of parts of the city!
4. Heroes gathering together to defeat an enemy with god-like powers!
Now, why do those seem familiar?
But, yes, the extraordinary death tolls in recent comics seems excessive. How many civilians do you kill before there's backlash? Civil War started with the deaths of 600 people in Stamford, CT, but really didn't have many after that. Yet, with Secret Invasion and Fear Itself, we've seen much more death and destruction, to the claiming of tens of thousands. Where is the line drawn on going too far? -

Quote:Sorry, everytime I hear REAL MEN, I always think of this quote.
In those days spirits were brave, the stakes were high, men were REAL MEN, women were real women and small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri.

Quote:Which is kind of where I am as well. Even though I've read the comics, there have been enough changes that the comic storyline doesn't necessarily mean anything at this point. The writers can decide to change directions any time they want. In other words, any explanation in the comics isn't automatically the explanation here.I'm pretty much assuming the secret was more along the lines of "Everyone is infected" until I see otherwise.
I'm curious on how many episodes they spend at Hershel's farm. Based on the comic, they spent 6 issues dealing with Rick's awakening and reunion, and the next 6 issues meeting a new group and then arriving at Hershel's. Either they are shortening those 6 issues to get to the next major location, or the Hershel plot points will be stretched out. -
Quote:If anything, I'd think Jenner would be telling Rick that Lori was pregnant. Being a doctor, Jenner would probably feel that Rick has the right to know if Lori is pregnant, but I'd doubt that he'd tell Rick if Andrea is pregnant.I was under the impression that all Jenner whispered in to Rick's ear was that Andrea is pregnant...
In the same episode she is shown being sick in the bathroom, vomiting. Of course, everyone else is drinking and 'celebrating' as well, however... the next morning, only Glenn is showing any real side effects of being hungover.
In addition to that, during the Season 2 Premiere, Rick takes a looong look at Andrea at one point. It 'framed' the sequence as such that it put focus on 'something' existing between them. The something would be the secret Rick is keeping.
Just an opinion/guess.
My other guess would be that Jenner told Rick that they are all infected, which could be stunning news. Of course, he could have been telling Rick some stock tips, and that was why Rick had the weird look on his face. -
The worst part of this is the lack of communication about the problem. It's obviously not working like it should; it would be nice if the devs communicated notice about this to both us and Customer Service. As it is, we keep getting misinformation from CS, and little to none from the Community Reps.
I am willing to be patient in terms of getting a new system working properly; however, this lack of communication about Known Issues is baffling. Indeed, this issue isn't even listed on the Known Issues page. -
Very sad. While not a friend, I remember his posts. I hope that he, and his family, can find peace.
Requiescat in pace. -
Add me to the list, as I received a token yesterday. Now I am wondering if I will get my next token on my actual billing date in November (the 3rd), or if it will be later like this one.

Depends on which side you are playing, as both sides start that mission similarly, but diverge in what they need to do to move the mission along.
Blueside, you need to go to a filing cabinet that is in a room one the 1st floors, directly below the boss. Clicking on that will allow you to access the back room.
Redside, you need to go past those guards and get to the vault. Break into the vault and take the Rularuu artifact. You can then access the back room. -
No spoilers in my question, but wanted the spoilers alert in case anything is brought up in the answers.
I may be approaching senility faster than expected, but I seem to remember a contradiction in time frames on when Rikti invaded Primal Earth. I've seen the In-game Timeline, but I seem to remember reading something about the first Riktis being on our side in the 1960s.
Is there an in-game contradiction on the time frames of the invasion? If there is, is there any official reason why the change? Or was the retcon of an invasion pointing to another group, like the Praetorians?
Appreciate any answers you can give; I've been searching for an answer, but have yet to find anything concrete. -
Quote:Having been in customer service, I can understand being on that two way street. However, an acknowledgement that a problem is occurring and is being looked into, goes a long way towards mollifying customers. As it is, we've been getting messages from support that there are no problems. The Community Team always voices your concerns, especially in regards to systems that may present a level of confusion to our players. You can be certain that we have expressed concern over this situation.
The job of Community is a two way street. We express concerns, and we also are responsible for relaying information, whether it is ideal or not.
We have not posted a new update regarding this situation as we are still awaiting clarification regarding certain aspects.
I understand that you are frustrated. I also understand the sentiment regarding the scheduling of monthly stipends (This would be one of those things we've expressed concerns regarding). We will continue to express these concerns whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Thanks
AFAIK, your post that I've quoted here is the first acknowledgement of the problem on the forums. Why the delay in just admitting there's a problem being worked on? There's just been a lot of misinformation being given out about this. -
Agree with Snow Globe. I received my last vet badge on September 3rd. I got the exact amount of tokens I expected when Freedom hit, but have not been awarded any more since then (aside some from buying points).
Based on the information given, I should have received another token on October 3rd. Two weeks later, still no token. I can understand problems with a new system, but at least have the courtesy to tell us there is a problem. Saying that the system is working when multiple players are showing that it's not, is not only poor customer service, but an outright deceit. -
Totally cool looking. Halloween's my favorite holiday, so it's always exciting to see new additions in-game to celebrate it.

You generally get that message if you have already purchased something. If you didn't previously buy it, or the Super Science booster, I'd /bug it.

Quote:So, logically, since I got my last Vet badge on September 3rd, I should have gotten a rewards token on October 3rd? Or was it considered added in at launch, and my next one is actually November 3rd?My bill date is the "7th" (and looks like i got my points based off the site) but I usually got my veteran rewards on the 28th due to bonus time, etc. So until/unless the system is changed, I exepct my next on the 28th.
Just curious, as I haven't received any outside of launch and points bought. As I used them right away in both scenarios, I know that it didn't reward. -

True. However, it is a valid point about mass consumption; it's not necessarily the best options out there.

Quote:Never farmed in AE; I've only done story arcs. In fact, after having read this thread and another by seebs, I decided to run a character from 1-50 just doing MA non-farm arcs.Inversely, nobody came for the stories and left because of the farms.
Heck, why not just shorten this to the truth: Nobody comes for the stories.
As for your Real Steel vs. The Ides of March comparison, think about this:
McDonald's is the largest fast food chain in the world. If you only have eaten a hamburger at McDonald's, you'd probably think that their hamburgers are the best in the world. That doesn't mean that you are right. Just because they've served over 3 billion (or whatever the number is now), doesn't make their hamburgers the best in the world.
In other words, Numbers =/= Best Quality. It just means that more people are content with lesser quality, cheaper products. -
