This maintenance is to facilitate hardware upgrades for all the Live City of Heroes servers.

I didn't grow up with television, so I missed a lot. I watched most of Star Trek (we did TOS, TNG, DS9, and the first half of Voyager), but that's about it. I'm kind of sad I missed Babylon 5, BSG, and so on. I've also heard good things about Stargate, which I missed as well.

Eventually I'll go back and rewatch all this stuff. On the other hand, I made up for it by watching loads and loads of SF Anime, so it all works out!

I suppose I should clarify that I did see the first season of the new BSG and got frustrated with the characters, which is why I stopped. I still want to finish it though. Additionally, I saw the B5 ?miniseries? ... I don't remember what it was called, but it was a feature-length intro to the series.

I'm fairly sure the Alien Prequel/Sequel was scrapped, and that they're doing a new film instead. I loved Blade Runner, and I loved "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep". Both are truly iconic films in the Science Fiction genre, and their influence is immeasurable.

Unfortunately, they are not. The Ski Slopes are available, but the Winter event is not active. You may run into a few abominable snowmen on the slopes though!

The next test will be on Monday, August 15, from 11:00am PDT (2:00pm EDT; 7:00pm BST; 20:00 CEST) to 1:00pm PDT (4:00pm EDT; 9:00pm BST; 22:00 CEST) for our European community and again from 5:00pm PDT (8:00pm EDT, 1:00am BST; 02:00 CEST) to 7:00pm PDT (10:00pm EDT; 3:00am BST; 04:00 CEST) for our North American players. We’ll see you all on the Training Room! Previous stress tests have been very helpful in helping us optimize server performance!

The Paragon Community Team will of course be present for the stresstest, and we’ll be running Trials. Afterwards, we’ll be randomly awarding some costume codes to a few lucky players in Pocket D, so be sure to come by and have fun!
