  1. Hi,

    This is not meant to be a flame war or anything, just an honest question asking for your opinions.

    I have been running my defender (rad/rad) for a while now and have noticed that my missions never usually get done. I admit that sometimes I get invited to a team thats slightly higher than me, but it feels like im missing out.

    I am about the right level for croatoa missions, and I know that the end of arc/contact gives a huge xp bonus.

    Does anyone else find that they never seem to get to do their missions or they never seem to come up?

    Rad/Rad defender

    Hey everyone,

    Currently at lvl 21, and loving every minute of it. I currently have fly and my character is aimed at a team build/debuff and buff bot.

    I wanted something different than sj (as i normally get that) but I do not have any status protection or kb protection. Is it needed for a team only build at all, do I need sj or go for a kb invention or leave without kb and status protection?

    Also need a secondary which is team friendly, and possibly with some debuff element

    Im looking for a different controller.

    I am unsure but I might go Illusion/ earth/ or something else, quite possibly illusion/force field.

    What do you guys think? I dont want to pick something thats FoTM (such as fire/rad).

    I have an Elec/Elec blaster with SC and power sink and I cant drain an AV. Only one I did drain was when I helped out a lowbie group taking on an AV.. at my level (40) I still cant seem to drain an AV.
  9. I am a long long long way away from 50 but I have a question for when I finally hit 50.

    With my build, when I hit 50 I will only have a few blasting powers as most will be from the rad/ and also pools. I have checked the city of data and can see that my rad blasts have -def on them for x amount of seconds.

    Since I dont actually do much damage anyway, and when I hit 50 (or late 40's) I will probably be AV debuffing should I slot my blasts for debuff def or just leave for damage?

    I also cant decide on fallout. I know im getting it but I dont know if I should slot for damage or debuff?

    That gives me an idea for a bind too. Gonna call it "(insert name here) is being more useful to the team when he's dead!". Ill use him for fallout, vengeance, and if im feeling nice, mutate
  11. I didnt realise Maneuvers was so bad!!

    Changed to assault and tactics now. Also I will be getting vengeance but at lv50 (so many other powers to get first).

    With AV's someone is bound to die, so I plan to use fallout (slotted for debuff), then vengeance, then mutate which should really help against AV's. I wish this was my idea but someone else told me about that one

    I do however plan to take dark as my epic, and plan to use Oppressive Gloom to provide more minion containment (well dizzyness lol). It should work well with choking cloud.. I hope!!

    I have made my rad/rad defender and I am taking the leadership pool (yes I know the endurance will be pants ).

    I have room for 2 choices out of the leadership pool and I have gone for Maneuvers and Tactics. Which 2 would be best for me?
  13. I have just made my firs Defender (rad/rad) and loving it at the moment, but does anyone else feel that your anchor seems to be like a red rag to a bull for all other AT's?

    It seems like they think I light them up for them to be attacked first lol

  15. When I hit a high enough level (around 30/35 mark) I may start slotting with inventions for endurance redux. Think about that level an invention out performs a SO.
  16. Which would be better as an epic. Electric or dark?

    Dark gives me another toggle which is a pbaoe disorient and dark consumption, and elec gives me power sink. Not much difference between the endurance with either one though.
  17. Ok, hopefully this seems much better. I've not decided on what epic but quite like the idea of the disorient aura and dark consumption with dark, but might go for elec.. or something else!

    Anyway.. here's the build, got serious endurance issues with choking cloud running with dark epic. I may have to choose another epic or not take CC.

  18. Do you know whats the normal slotting for choking cloud would be? Been told already that 3 endred and 3 hold is ok.

    Also, in which order would you recommend leadership pool and what slotting should I use for vengeance?
  19. If i removed hasten and teleport foe from my build, what would be best to put in instead?

    I was thinking either choking cloud and another power, or a couple from leadership pool.
  20. I have both TF friend and TP Foe. TP foe was for foe placement (once I have them toggled i can move them around.. hopefully).

    I have taken the range out of EF as I think its only for casting range and not the range once it is on so put that on AM.

    Im hoping to be out of range of most things and I doubt I will do much damage anyway so I chose the snipe attack. I may change this later if I find I dont use it often, but I want to fire it at least once.. just to pretend I am in star trek pmsl
