And this wouldn't be the first time someone has made extra accounts and pretended to be a different person.
-
Quote:No I assume the OP has made a second account due to fact that posts on both accounts share similar sentence structure, writing style, grammar, spelling, and when reading the posts they sound like the same person has written them. You stated this was a multiple account, and most reasons for a multiple account is for 1 reason only...PLing. Your other reasons are valid and I can see why. Like I said, I don't believe in PLing, but how a person plays, that's their business, not mine, it's their (or mommy or daddy's) money, spend it as you will.
Just because I seem to be the only defender you ASSUME it's a multiple account. I tell you wrong. Maybe I hear the call in the wild? Maybe I actually know the guy? Maybe I'm actually close friends? Maybe I never heard of him before today? You don't know, so jumping to conclusions about personal situations you know nothing about is off-based and wrong. That's like me assuming with 10k posts you have no life and live at home, with no job or carrer to speak of. But I could be totally wrong too. You could be making 200k a year working in a fancy high-rise building with your retirement plan already set in stone. To assume personal details or blast them for personal issues is wrong. This is a game, not RL...
Then there's the bizarre rant about being accussed of powerleveling which is similar to the OP's bizarre ranting style.
Nope the more you post the more I'm convinced you and the OP are the same person. -
WoW's monthly fee is $14.99 same as ours.

Quote:Powerlevel your toons? Where did anyone suggest that you powerlevel your characters? That's a strange conclusion to jump to out of the blue. I merely suggested that the OP started a second account so he could pretend that someone agrees with his ranting. Such a thing could easily be done by starting a free trial account.I don't NEED another account to PL my toons,as I don't think you should in the 1st place.
And why the assumption that we would think that anyone with multiple accounts uses them to powerlevel their characters? There are other reasons for having multiple accounts.
1. A player may have already used all 36 slots on their main account and they want more slots on their favorite server.
2. Players might segregate their accounts, one for heroes and one for villains. We have a lot of obsessive compulsive players.
3. Players that like having solo SG's use second accounts for inviting their own characters to their SG's
4. Players use multiple accounts to make it easier to shift wealth amongst their characters. This eliminates the chance another player will rip them off.
The fact that you automatically assume that I implied you powerlevel and your subsequent aggressive and hostile denial leads me to believe you are suffering from a guilty concience. -
Quote:Fascinating! While I enjoy reading the forums, I never thought before today to actually create a profile and respond to any of them. Most of the suggestions are by people who so graciously oh Gods Of Development, hear our cry,as we place our sacrificial Scrapper on the Alter Of Promises, please don not judge my words...Get some guy that many deem unfit to be near a keyboard to mount a soapbox, and let the apples fly! Burn him! Scorch him! Get your crosses and silver bullets! Do I agree totally with what he says? Not really. Did I understand in his very 1st post? 100% clear. Those that didn't obviously haven't played the game IN GAMEWORLD, as you can see there, there's a buttload of Gamerspeak going on, oh, but we understand that.
Is he justified in his badgecount? Ther I think so, just b/c you all got it lowered so you can farm it easier you want to blast him. Don't want to farm for the Outcast badges? The TV Contact's in Grandville, go farm there, you'll wastes hours PLing yourselves there before you'll actually hit Siren's Call.
His PvP "rant"? Maybe he needs to learn to PvP more, but when RV's more diversified than Blappers,Trollers, and Stalkers,I'll side with him.
Monthly cost? I don't know too much about the state tax thing, but it'll hit both CoX and WoW at the same time, and if WoW's core charges are lower, maybe it's time to investigate.
They say that certain powersets are hard to do because of programming. I'll buy this. but they waste time creating a Halloween event with banners and such, but giving MM's a Demon-set when you pretty much have the pet builds available or an Ice-Demon set when, again, the builds are available seems rather easy than creating a whole new event.
For those about to judge my "clarification" of builds, perhaps reading the MM forum wil give you ideas an what build I'm referring to, and,oh,BTW,Pain? It's not Empathy, get your facts straight before you actually issue facts.
Oh I get it. This is the OP's second account. Do you get a kick out of toggling between both accounts so you can agree with yourself? -
Quote:You and Ironblade are both right. If the Ragequitter's account is still active then they deserve a kudo for managing to keep their mouth shut for this long.RAGEQUITTERS who manage to stay out of a thread for ten minutes, let alone 4 days, deserve special commendation.
maybe they canceled, maybe not...but let us pause for a moment and admire the iron determination it took them to not keep posting here in a vain effort to have the 'last word'.
/em salute
I only hope Inphiniti enjoys whatever game he or she is leaving us for.
Of course if he or she is going to CO then he or she will be having the same little temper tantrum there.
It currently costs $37.50 to buy all the costume pieces in their online store. This will go up as more items get added.
It currently costs $12.50 to buy their all of the non-combat pets.
It costs $18.75 to buy 2 additional costume slots.
It costs $18.75 to buy 4 additional character slots
It costs $6.25 to rename a character.
It costs $12.50 to buy a respec. (They nerf the powers often enough that this gets expensive)
This game is a lot cheaper. The only thing that CO beats us at is the name change. -
Quote:While it is unusual it could simply be the result of his or her account expiring.Credit where credit is due. This line was posted 4 days ago and he or she hasn't posted in here again. That's such a rare event I actually took notice.
We have no idea when he or she cancelled his or her account. Assuming he or she paid monthly he or she could have cancelled at any time during the previous month.Quote:I've already canceled my game account,
When I read that last post by Inphiniti I realized it was nothing more than an "I'm quitting!" nerdrage post he or she snuck into someone elses thread because he or she knew it would be less likely to get deleted by the Mods. -

Quote:Be my guest, but I have to give partial credit to Psychoti. It was from reading how he dealt with rude people up in the Rude Tells thread that inspired me to make the prisoner costume and wait for that creepy guy to hit on me again.Forbin, hope you don't mind, but I'm going to upgrade my signature with this little classic. Gave me a bloody good laugh

Quote:Um, Forbin_Project?
Santa taking a dump down someone's chimney doesn't really equate to the Christmas spirit. (I mean your forum avatar.)
But carry on! It isn't my chimney. I don't have one.
I'll be celebrating the holidays collecting candy canes. Have fun with your, uh, hobby.
Do you have any idea how expensive coal has gotten these days? With the rising costs of heating fuel during this recession, poor Santa can no longer afford to leave it in lieu of presents for those who have managed to make their way onto his naughty list because coal is now seen as a reward rather than a punishment. So this season Santa has taken to eating a lot of Taco Bell burrito's and will be leaving another type of lump in the stockings of the bad boys and girls. -

*Back to the game*
My point was that a lot of people will have other plans during the holidays, and will work gaming in to fit their RL schedules. -
I have no idea how things work in the United Kingdom, but here in the USA this holiday season is about spending time with your family and friends, exchanging gifts, having big family meals, throwing festive parties, caroling, ice skating, snowball fights, doing whatever they do down south where they don't get snow, helping out those less fortunate, and not locking yourself in a dark room playing video games.

Quote:In my defense Nord, with just the link and no commentary to explain otherwise I hope you won't hold it against me if I interpreted your meaning incorrectly. No, I haven't assumed that OP is AE baby.
OP just caught me somewhat "unprepared".
- I don't remember seeing anyone coming that close to requesting PL in the "Player Questions" forum or in any other forums (that I'm usually reading) for that matter.
- Another thing that caught my attention was willingless to jump servers for play opportunities.

...And if people think that my original response was rude, then I'm glad I haven't posted link to another video instead. That video, I planned to link to initially, is way more harsh than one I ended up posting.
As far as judgements about community go, OP completely missed the point, unless they think that NordBlast is Entire Community

As to the rudeness, out of all the posts before the OP returned the second time, yours was the closest thing that could be called rude. I think most of us, aside from the OP saw the humor and took your post as tongue in cheek. -
This.
Don't get caught with your favorite characters stuck someplace you didn't want to leave them.
I have a hunch that one of the reasons the devs made this generous offer to us was so we could do some housekeeping and get our characters shifted around in preparation for Going Rogue. Many of us have already filled all the available slots on our favorite servers. -
Sorry Raptor but your math is way off. 4 people in fact offered you the same helpful advise with minor variations on the way they said it.
Westley - And if you FORM YOUR OWN teams (he even provided a link to a helpful guide)
Quinch - I'd suggest simply forming one on the fly.
Wicked Wendy - Form you own teams and run 8 man missions
Sailboat - Find the global channels on your chosen server and monitor them for Task Force recruiting or other team action.
Four different people advising you on the best way to get to level 50 the fastest.
Again your math is way off. Only Nordblast made that assumption.Quote:Everyone assumed just because I mentioned a TF that im an AE baby.
I'm not sure you understand just what a TF Task Force is.Quote:I'M NOT. I probably gained only 2 levels of the 41 by doing a tf.
A Task Force is a large-scale story arc in City of Heroes. Each task force has a minimum level requirement and a minimum team size requirement that must be met before the task force can be started. Each task force also has a maximum level associated with it; team members who exceed the maximum automatically exemplar down.
While running a task force, none of the team's other missions are available to them, and normal contacts won't interact with the player. This also means that stores who are contacts (such as Ghost Falcon or Serafina, for example) are unavailable for purchasing Enhancements during a task force. Arena stores, Pocket D, Wentworth's, and Ouroboros are still accessible to purchase (often much needed) inspirations. Once the task force has formed, you must continue to run the task force until you finish it or drop from it. Task force missions can be run over several play sessions; the game allows you to log out without dropping from the task force.
An AE Baby is a player that sits in the Architect Entertainment building in Atlas Park and begs other players to Farm/Powerlevel them thru the player created Mission Architect missions so they can quickly get to level 50.
These players have high level characters yet have no idea where any other city zones are or how to get to them, and they don't understand the most basic ingame terminology.
Making snap judgements about an entire community based on one persons "negative" post doesn't exactly portray you in the best light.Quote:And if you guys are just going to judge me and be rude like that, I guess the CoH community isn't as friendly as I thought. -
Quote:While you and I both know you can't judge a poster on his forum reg date or number of post counts, I think it's safe to say that Nordblast based his reply on those two things as well as the OP's request to be powerleveled the last 9 levels.Well, considering that the OP pointed out that he hasn't been rushing his character and thus assuming he's not, in fact, an AE baby, it might be he's tired of the journey and just wants to cross the arbitrary finish line - can't blame him too much for that.
The fact that the OP used similar phrases as the AE guy in the cartoon had me choking down some giggles. -
Quote:Ouch!

Quote:Also if you decide you want to play on the North American servers you can but you have to purchase the North American version of the game. The store normally only gives you the versions appropriate for your country but there are links to the other versions. You can tell which version you're looking at by the price. If it's in Euros it's the EU version while the NA version is in dollars. For example:
EU Version:
https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/St...em&item_id=123
NA Version:
https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/St...em&item_id=121
I was reading in another thread about someone that started a new account and was advised that Customer Service might be able to help them get their account restarted as a NA account. If it's possible it doesn't hurt to ask.

Quote:I appreciate your taking the time to point that out Ad, but I realized my error after I posted and added an apology for my screw up. It's in the text you quoted. He's on an EU account, Forbin - telling him about Freedom & Virtue on the NA servers won't help him, and if some EU posters on these boards are to be used as an example, it will actually tick him off that he can't get to them.
To the OP again I apologise for spacing on the fact that you said you were on the EU servers. -
1. The more populated servers are Virtue, Freedom, I forget the others.
2. This game is big on instanced missions. That means players don't spend a lot of time in the open zones unless they are socializing, leveling up, getting missions from contacts, etc.
3. Leveling up is extremely easy during the low levels so you might find more players in higher level zones.
4. You have started playing during the Winter event. Many players are goofing around in the Ski Chalet which is only open during this event. You can get to the chalet thru Pocket D. The closest Pocket D entrance is in Kings Row, or by using the Pocket D VIP teleport power. The VIP power comes with the Good vs Evil item pack $9.99. Once purchased all your characters will get the power.
I hope that helps and welcome to the game!
Damn sorry I totally spaced on the EU servers. My bad. Sorry. -
Morally wrong? Something tells me you don't actually believe this garbage. It's much more likely that you use it as an excuse to beat your chest and act superior to everyone else. There are hundreds if not thousands of things you pay for without complaint that fit your definition of a pricing model being "morally wrong". You aren't out there harrassing the customers of those companies. That means you are selective in applying your vaunted morality and that makes you a hypocrit. -
Quote:You obviously stopped reading at that point in the post. This comment is asinine and deserves no other response.Quote:Nope, got nothing else to say. You either agree or you're clueless... I figured you would end up here eventually. Anyone who doesn't agree with you is stupid. Right.Quote:
Nope, got nothing else to say. You either agree or you're clueless...
Inphiniti, no offense but do you have any idea how often we see variations of "Nope, got nothing else to say. You either agree or you're clueless..." by someone and they actually mean it? It always seems to be used by someone making the most ridiculous argument you can imagine, who is infuriated that people dare disagree with them. It's not something to use lightly, as it is automatically taken in the worst possible way.
