As to the OP, No. /unsigned.
I may hate PvP with a passion but if you want the cool temp powers or the AV fights then suck it up and deal with it. The added risk of PvP is the balancing factor to earning them.
Badges are easy to get without any PvPing just time consuming. And revenge is sweet when in Sirens and your in a spot where you can't get attacked and you happen to become the bounty. -
Quote:In my experience, some of the biggest bullies are the coaches of such little league teams. Not that young children need such a role model to pick up the behaviour, but it could certainly push many of them in that direction.
Don't be putting the blame solely on the coaches. Parents have far more influence and set far worse examples than coaches ever can. -
Quote:Since the GR launch, I've really been missing the "Game is dieing posts". As a long time vet, these are usually really entertaining to read. Clearly, the lack of these types of posts is the devs fault. The "serious doom" is gone now. I'm not sure what to do with my time now. Remember the old "15 dollars" and such?
I might have to join Champions or something.

If I may suggest hanging out on the forums of that other companies other game. The one based on a popular Sci-Fi genre. There's plenty of nerd rage and doom constantly being thrashed about over there. -
Quote:I'm wondering why I was forced to rename my character.
I lost $10 because of this.
I purchased a rename token for my character...I had to log into the game real quick...when I logged in, it forced me to rename my character. I couldn't exit out of the game without renaming.
Before I wanted to rename, I had to delete the character with the name I wanted. However, since I was forced to rename my character...I had to buy another rename token to get the name I wanted.
I'm not mad about losing out on the $10...but I just wanted to make this known so that something could be changed in the future, so that you are not FORCED to use a rename token that you purchased.
I'm sorry you have gotten yourself into this predicament but it seems from what I've read that you unfortunately mixed up the steps you needed to follow when you bought the rename for that character.
And I do hope that CS can help you get this straightened out cuz it can be very frustrating to lose $10 bucks like that.
Before purchasing the rename you should have done whatever you needed to do to free the name up first. Which in your case would have meant doing whatever was needed to get the first character ready and then deleting it. Only then, once you know the name is free should you buy the rename for the other character, because as Fomsie pointed out they warn us that we have to choose a name as soon as we make the purchase.
Again I honestly hope that CS can help you, I do empathize with your situation. -
I'm guessing because they know that if they set a precedent by reducing it to 90% that people will start whining that 90% is too high and needs to be reduced further.

Quote:lol im not just filing ticket after ticket because they dont respond fast enough (which they dont).. That was in reference to all the times this has happened to me over the years. All I can do is file a ticket and wait 1-2 weeks for someone to finally respond, asking me to verify that I own the account.. Then wait another week for it to finally be resolved. I am just wondering if my account is flagged or something? Why the **** does this keep happening?Quote:

Whatever the problem turns out to be I sincerely hope it's easily treatable and temporary. You're in my prayers for a swift recovery.

How about an Underwater Wild West Zone on the Moon?
Sorry I couldn't stop myself from going there.

As often as you like. The only limit I know of is the one for the first 15 members.

Why on earth would it take another minute or two to recover endurance? Are you constantly running toggle powers? Storm Summoning is the only secondary that is an end hog. Pop a CaB or a TaB if your anal about your endurance bar. Besides your running a Mastermind. Your main attack powers are your henchmen. Their attacks don't drain your end. You can stand back and let them do their job while you recover endurance.

Quote:Why are you trying to scout under full invis with summoned henchmen? Dismiss them and scout to your hearts content then summon them in a strategically advantageous position and attack from there. Depending on your level it takes less than 30 seconds to summon all of your henchmen and another 30 seconds to buff them if your running a bubbler that can only buff one character at a time. If your only using the primary MM buffs it take maybe ten seconds because they are global and one buff, buffs all the henchmen.Well if the stupid critters would actually do what you TELL them to you might have a case.
I believe someone earlier in this thread (or it was in another thread about wanting to command Controller/Dominator pets) attempted to imply that the MM Henchmen were intelligent so you could give them orders. If they are that intelligent they should OBEY those orders. If I tell them to Stay I should be able to go full invis and scout to my heart's content instead of having to worry I'm going to hit the end of some invisible tether and have my henchies all TP to me in full sight of a mob.
I'm all for having challenges in the game, but I prefer those challenges to be based on using tactics and figuring out puzzles in game, not overcoming artificial limitations of whatever system I'm trying to work around (which is what I do for a living). -
Quote:Okay I will. Mission says kill 50 Carnie. Let's say I'm at the Portal Corp when I get the mission after calling my contact. First thing I do is look at my map and see that Carnies can be found in Poseidan Square, Bayside Docks, Curry Cove, Nelson Borough, and Mera Heights. The problem is that when you're given something to streethunt, pretty much 90% of your time is spent looking for the damn things. Just imagine hunting 50 Carnies in Peregrine Island on a Mastermind. You'd have to fight the entire zone ten times over before you were even half-way through. On a good day.
Outdoor missions, yeah, I'm with you on that one. You're there to kill stuff, so keeping track of your henchmen is part of game balance. But with overworld hunting, I disagree, because a large part of overworld hunting is travelling and NOT fighting.
Lets see if I choose to go through each city block looking for Carnies I will probably fly overhead until I spot them, land on an empty roof or clear spot, summon my henchmen in safety and then attack, Once I've cleaned out an area of the targets I'm looking for I'll either wait for the enemy to respawn or I'll dismiss my henchmen and move to another location and start over. There's no place on a zone map where I can't find a safe spot to resummon and buff my henchmen in under a minute.
Another effective tactic would be to summon my in the water and move in from there making amphibious assaults on the Carnies, and swimming around the island if I needed to make further attacks.
Now if the problem I am having is that my teammates refuse to give me the 30 sec to a minute I need to summon and buff my henchmen before attacking then I have a very simple solution to that problem. If I have the star I kick the a-holes, if I'm not the leader I quit the team. The problem there isn't with MM's it's with players acting like jerks.
If I'm on one of my Masterminds I'm a 7 man team all by myself. My characters don't need other players, they need my character. MM's can steamroller over everything all by themmselves. -
Quote:No one quoted rules to the OP or acted like they were better informed until after the OP got defensive when he was asked if he had a question that other players could actually answer. The maintenance of the Server Status webpage is not information players have access to, but if there was a question we could have helped with, we would have been happy to provide assistance.I actually find threads like this useful when the servers are down and the server status is not being updated.
If I cannot log on and before contacting support, I usually check here and the technical support forum to see if others are experiencing the same problem as I. Not only that, reading and participating in a thread like this gives one something to do while waiting to get back in game and builds a sense of camaraderie with others in the same boat. That is until someone comes along that is pompous enough to think they are better informed than others about forum rules and suchlike and decide its time they took it upon themselves to 'educate' them.
Also as the OP pointed out
you can always choose to use the ignore feature if you don't want to view someones posts.Quote:Ignore FTW -
Quote:I agree and disagree with this based on the scenario. Just traveling across a zone I'm with you 100%. However when street sweeping and running open missions keeping track of the henchmen and keeping them alive is a part of Mastermind Tactics 101.OK, since my last post got lured OT, let me post what I was going to post there, here.
Clear as mud?
My take on Henchmen travel powers is that they should get whatever the MM is using. No bonus power, no circus parade of henchies trailing across the map to be picked off piecemeal by every spawn they wander by as their crazy boss changes directions 100s of feet away.
No, they just keep up. Plain and simple. Make it even simpler if you like, when the MM turns on a travel power the pets go to Follow/Passive. -
Providing a link to a thread that was posted for the intended purpose of educating forum users and stickied by a redname is not against the rules. I didn't accuse the OP or anyone else of doing anything wrong, I merely pointed out the sections which may have been of interest to the discussion.

Quote:If you are street sweeping/in an open mission then it's your own fault for outrunning your pets. staying in range of your pets is one of the basic tactics you need to learn when running a Mastermind. That is working as intended.@Sharker_Quint I've often found that it takes a while for them to run to me unless they have teleported shortly before I get to where I want to be.
@Lothic It's not getting rid of all the drawbacks of MM's just getting rid of the ones that cause street sweeping certain enemies and open missions to be irritating. -
Quote:ThisAnd that was my point: Other ATs can go across a zone and start a fight without needing to do much beyond using an opener BECAUSE they don't have an army of henchies to help them. Your disadvantage of being an "Army of One" means you can't turn on a virtual dime the way most other people can.
Basically you're asking to have all the bonuses of being a MM without the drawbacks.
I can pretty much guarantee that will never happen.

And which power from each MM set are you going to give up in order for this new power to be added? I ask because this isn't a travel power. You want to be able to dismiss them and resummon them with all their buffs.
