Quote:Seriously. What did they say that was so confusing? Why were you expecting this when the exact contents of the pack were revealed months ago?
Quote:Seven Years of Super Rewards
Seven Stars, a new chest emblem that will remind everyone of your experience as a Hero or Villain.
The Constant, a new badge and title that highlights your dedications and unswerving determination.
Loyalty, a new emote that you can use to brag about your alignment in style.
The Vanguard Pack includes all Vanguard costume pieces including:
Vanguard Hat, Chest, Belt, Gloves, Shoulders, Pants, Boots.
It also includes the following weapons customizations:
Assault Rifle, Axe, Bow, Claws, Dual Blades, Katana, Swords.
Finally, the Vanguard Costume change emote is also included. -
Quote:I think there's a bit of confusion here. When I say omnipotence I'm referring to unlimited power. The ability to do anything I can imagine even if it's logically impossible. But on the other hand, you both would probably know how hot dogs are made, and some things are best left unknown.
Not omniscience which is the capacity to know everything infinitely.
-
Is that bad?
Edit: I was just thinking if they come in different colors you could play Twister with them.
-
While I was checking the loyalty emotes I found that Heroic one is borked for me. The Hero Star doesn't appear under the feet. Instead I'm getting a distorted square. The other three work fine.

Don't know how long ago the switch was flipped but I just logged in and I have my Vanguard stuff now.

Not sure they did a maintenance today. If there was one it was finished early because I checked the servers this morning when I thought it was going to be down and found I could log on. When I did thinking the vanguard stuff was active I found it wasn't.

Quote:There's no written forum rule about it one way or the other. The forum rule just says don't necropost. Three months seems to be the general consensus of a fair limit when it gets brought up, especially on hot topics where some people think that what they have to say deserves a new thread. Anything over three months almost everyone agrees is necroing. My mistake then, I'm mixing up my forum rules. Other sites on which I am somewhat active enforce the rule of "if it is 3+pages back, it's old." Granted, the amount of new topics there is a smaller number than here, so topics get pushed down at a slower rate. Apologies!

Quote:Where exactly does it say that? Cuz the only thing I see posted by the devs in Announcements is thisWe were supposed to have it at 6am EST. It is 6 hours late in 4 minutes.
Even the main website doesn't give an exact time the vanguard rewards are supposed to unlock.Quote:Players who keep an unbroken subscription from February 14 (12:01 a.m. EST / 5:01 a.m. GMT) toApril 18 (11:59 p.m. EST / 4:59 a.m. GMT) will now earn the Seven Years of Super Rewards...rewards!
So be sure to have an active subscription from February 14th, and enjoy the rewards come April 28th!

Doc, I hope you used the search feature to find this, in which case, kudos for using the search feature to find an existing topic, except that this topic is over 2 months old.
Less than three months is not necroposting. People starting new threads on the similar topics are always getting told that they should have posted in pre-existing posts that are less than three months old.
Keep up the good work Doc.

Quote:Huge problem with introducing inf sinks.
If the cost is high enough for it to be an EFFECTIVE inf sink, the cost is also high enough to put it out of reach of all but the wealthiest players.
If the cost is low enough that your average player can pay it with no trouble, it isn't a very effective inf sink at all, because the extremely wealthy won't even put a dent in their inf piles paying it.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that the devs should introduce level 51-53 IOs, so we can spread the wealth around a little bit. (there would be a HUGE outcry from those who weren't paying attention to announcements and lost billions on empty bids though)
Oh I would so enjoy watching the outrage.

Quote:At least I'm just impatient. Some people get down right rude on the forums when they have to wait.Where's my elephant? Where's my elephant? Where's my elephant? Where's my elephant?
(Ahh, Classic Simpsons.)
Been here for 6 years, tried to leave, not been able to. Will likely be here till the end.
Now, where's my game birthday treats, I have characters to update!

Haven't read the book yet myself. I was just trying to give the correct name of the book. Someone else mentioned the "rocking the aura" joke.

Quote:Believe me Leo I agree with you that the respec feature as a whole sucks like a vaccuum on steroids, and I'll be thrilled if the devs give it a complete overhaul so it's more player friendly. And if in the process they change their minds about how many enhancements we can save, you won't here me complaining even tho I agree with the devs current opinion.Well despite past objection, that doesn't dismiss the fact that respec'ing is pretty crappy. For me, it's the needing to go through *everything* in the build to change *One* *Little* *Slot/Order*. You have to pull up your build in a 3rd party program, go through every power and slot, even if most of them are exactly the same (and you have to remember everything about what lvl and so on you picked them up) which of the same enhancement goes in what powers, *EVERYTHING* just to add in one power or swap a couple slots to another power.Honestly, the whole system feels very flawed and I wouldn't even bother arguing 'well the devs said x, w, and k because of whatever' until they make respecs themselves not totally *BLOW*.Partial respec, blackhole enhancement, enhancement purgatory, complementary PB&J sandwich delivered to your house when performing a respec. I don't care. Make this process less crap. The End.

No. There was a building of alien construction and the star and planet was supposed to be created by aliens but there was no contact with the aliens until they showed up after the scientists died. The aliens reanimated their corpses and returned them with a brand new shuttle to the Destiny.
-
Dark beat me to it. Although I would like to add that we have already seen how capable the scientists are at surviving from the previous episode where 20 or so of the scientists stayed behind on that other planet and they were unable to build any type of basic shelter or store any food before winter came and they all froze to death.

Shshshshshsh! We're supposed to ignore that just like the guns that never run out of ammo.

I think the name is Invasion: Book One of the Secret World Chronicle.

Quote:Because that would make sense. Is there any particular reason they couldn't calculate the rough position of the refugee ships? Flying at sublight, they could at least get a ballpark idea of where they might be and start searching around from there.
If nothing else they could re-unite the colonists with their people.
