    3 Word Story

During one day at the height of summer, six glittering starships appeared out of nowhere. Suddenly everything went dark. It was the curse of the evil monkey that eats cotton candy!

The people all fled in terror at the sight of the sticky-fingered monkey. It hurled large chunks of cotton candy at the innocent Omegatron Zeta Warbot, "Koo Koo Katchoo", who, caught unprepared, pulled up his iron underpants, and ran screaming into a brick wall.

Then the monkey laughed and said, "where's my punchline?" A man named Alfredo von Wigglestein appeared and said, "I think, therefore... I don't care. Now, you need to go to talk to the guy about registering for the special buns and thigh class. After all penguins have anurisms and I wear polyester thongs to school. Where was my jar of Honey Bees? Who will not drag my fat butt? Now what was the price of eggplants and bees again? I forget things quite quickly since I'm old. Although old is relative."

So then my sister Bruce bought a banana from a passing street vendor. He grabbed a dictionary and started to read aloud the definition for monkey curses. He then looked at the crumpled warbot, pointed and said, "Beware! Chaos is brewing beer!"

Then the warbot stood and drank beer.

Then my sister stripped naked and started to dance a sexy dance.

But the police helped her undress. Afterwards they ran in circles chasing

If that is really the point we are at, then it's a lost cause. But I'd like to think there's still hope for the "wailing" approach.

/em clears throat to start wailing again

Here's a little tip that took me a few years to figure out here .... your $14.99 a month doesn't matter. The dev's have their bias and they tend not to listen much. A little, but not enough.

This would make assulting a base very fun, and this I feel would bring alot of people to city of heroes and city of villians and heres more detail about it...

The npc's to buy these land plots would be for heros in atlas part and Villians it would be in Grandville, and this would be unlocked for sg leaders levels 10 and up with information Guide npc's in most of the other areas in the game. Once one buys this plot of land they would be able to pick from a set of thirty maps to make this city and in the city itself it would have an npc for improving the city anywhere from mines to defence turrents to moving things like tanks.

This npc would have a decor section where you can buy flags and the like to make your city better and then there would be a mission npc where when the missions are done a badge would be earned that unlocks special costumes for there members as well as a npc that sells special buffs and powers depending on the type of character you are.

In this city would be a trainer for its members to train. There powers also include a place to buy other player created items or recipes and the like...also I suggest what I am sure others have suggested is that a cross shard bank be added so that way you can send stuff to your other characters no matter what shard there on. This feature can even be bought if that makes it even better and last lets say 1 month

For now thats it for my suggestion my only wish is to see coh/cov become the number one mmorpg again.
Fixed for readability .... Your suggesting instead of super group bases, make super group cities. Well, you could do something similar to it using AE. I'm indifferent about it.

A two person team fighting level 50 bosses would have to kill 6.6K bosses (assuming the lowbie is SK'd to level 46).

A two person team with the lowbie SK'd to 50 fighting level 54s would need to kill about 5K

Those are kinda the extremes but with varying team size versus boss level to optimize kill time I'm starting to think you could get a high enough kill rate to do it in four hours.
My fire/kin can blast through level 50 maniac slammers. Add a high damage tank or scrapper into the mix, and they are falling over like dominos. Now throw a level 45 toon into that who is sitting at the door, and a map padded and spawned for a team of 8 on City 02 ruined, yeah I can see someone getting to level 50 in 2, maybe 3 runs and quite quickly.

Yes ... I took a friend from 11 to 40 in 2 hours ... I don't see why 10 more levels would take more than 2 more hours.

Radio: Just for fun, we can use this power to switch between various songs in the game while we travel long ways.

Nytro: A burst or nytro comes out of the exhaust pipes of your vehicle that makes you move faster than with super speed for 3-5 seconds.

Flying car: This car can fit you and three other heroes, it is not as fast as a motorcycle but it flys and can carry mutiple people. I wanted this one because I hated being left in the dust when someone uses super speed and all I have is fly, and group fly is just annoying because you can get lost and fall right into the middle of a group of high level enemies.
    Vehicles you say? Hmmmm ...

What could replace it...? I think an extremely fast version of flight (Super Sonic Flight) where you rocket across zones would see some use. That you have to have two power picks to get it would provide some balance against other Travel Powers (also make it an endurance hog)

That's a good idea .. maybe make it a click power that lasts 20 seconds, gives the user max speed on flight (or surpasses max speed) and recharge of a minute, and uses up a good chunk of endurance so there's something to compete with the end sucking travel power teleport.

You'll get away with it scott free, because no one really cares if you show up or not. But it's a trap. Once you get away with it once, you'll try again. Then again. Then you'll miss two days. Then you'll tell yourself, "I just need to study for the test, I don't really need to go to class." Trust me on this, missing class is the single greatest reason I've known people to end up college dropouts and flunk-outs than any other, and NONE of them thought it was a big deal at the time. The single greatest factor that will determine whether you are successful is whether you bother to SHOW UP. Do not slack off on this.
This also ... I'll never understand why a person will pay $10,000 a semester just to skip classes? Duh .. your paying for it, you mine as well go to class. I never missed a class, even if I was sick, I still went.

And then we have group flight. A power which would actually be a pretty neat (if somewhat odd) tactical and useful in various situations if not for one thing: It has a tohit penalty of 25%.

    25%

That is completely ridiculous. /Dark users would kill to have that kind of tohit debuff potential in one or even three separate powers. Group flight has a bit of a speed penalty given to others in its radius, which makes it questionable in terms of a group travel power. What makes it useful is the manueverability it affords a group in combat. The power is designed in such a way that it benefits large teams by giving them limited immunity to knockback/knockdown, targetted slow powers, (such as Knives of Artemis caltrops) and the option of maintaining distance for ranged superiority. Imagine fighting an Archvillain or a GM using group flight. It neuters their ability to counter ranged archtypes like Blasters, Corrupters, Controllers and Dominators. Group Flight would see a great deal more use if it didn't have such a gigantic penalty attatched to it. So my suggestion boils down to this:

Remove the 25% tohit debuff penalty in group flight.

    Add suppression to group flight.

Either increase the personal end cost of a single person using group flight, or decrease the cost but spread it out over the entire group for each person being affected by it.
Group fly was always one of those powers that made me scratch my head and go "huh?" ...

The only use for it was at the old style hami raids. You don't even need that now though with the purchasable jet packs .... I'm not exactly sure why they haven't removed that power completely yet and replaced it with something else. Maybe they don't know what to replace it with?
  24. Wow .. That's a much better goodbye than mine but it will probably get zapped. I hope this post doesn't get lost, and you get to read it.

I have heard too many horror stories of people trying and failing at college because some other pursuit demanded too much of their time. The game will be gone at least a year. I will not return until a) I'm kicked out, b) I fail miserably at schoolwork and kick myself out, or c) (ideally) I'm adjusted to life in a large University and have loads of idle time.

    (...)

You may have been wondering when I'd be soliciting advice... well, this is it. I'm a first generation college student. None of my friends are college graduates (except for the two I've mentioned by name above), none of my family are college graduates, and in general, I am completely and totally alone in my desire to pursue higher education. I know nothing about it - nothing. If anyone, anyone has any tips they wish they'd known, or habits they wish they'd gotten into, or just anything you can think of... please, let me know now.
I hate to say it, but if you truely want to get ahead in this economy, there are a few things that you will need to do, and wish I did. The first is not to get tied down to one location, be willing to move anywhere, and I mean anywhere. This means ditching any women that you may meet or have met if they aren't willing to move with you. No exceptions ... I love my wife dearly, but I would not be in Pennsylvania with a BS in computer science if I did not met her.

Another thing is, look for a job after the second to last year, and before your last year of college. I will always kick myself for not doing that. Get experience, a degree isn't enough. Get summer interns and work for free if you have to (if you can afford it). The more experience you get before you get out of college, the better off you will be. Again, something else I wish I did.

The last thing I would do is stay away from games like the plague. Find a less time consuming hobby that won't take up so much of your study time. If you have time to sit down and play a game, you have time to find a job and work for free (if need be). Don't drive yourself nuts though. Go to parties and hook up with women, but don't stay with any that aren't willing to travel with you. That will help you relieve some pressure from studies. And most of all .....

HAVE FUN! and good luck with your life ...
