I wouldn't as I'd prefer to get to know people first, also I do a fair bit of recruiting and I've never used broadcast - I prefer to send tells and talk through what we have to offer so people can make their own choices.

Which is pretty much my point really. IMO, any SG that has to publicly broadcast for members isn't going to be worth joining... No offense to the OP, but there are better ways of gaining members. Such as teaming with people and telling them about your SG whilst you team.

Does anyone here ever actually join SG's that get advertised over broadcast? I know that I for one, wouldn't do so...

A lot of it would go if the devs would listen to us and remove the MA buildings from the starter zones. There's really no need at all to have an MA in every single zone...

There are a lot of jerks in this world. Unfortunately many of the ones that play CoH also PvP or hang around in Atlas Park.

Pay them no mind, there's plenty of us vets around that DON'T treat people like that.

I know you say he prefers the USB sound, but to eliminate it as a problem, disconnect it from the PC and reenable the onboard audio, then try playing the game for a few hours to see if the same thing occurs.

You might need to remove the USB sound drivers from the system to be sure.

What I said was that instead of people throwing up "Me too's", DO something about it. Run a tracert to NC's servers and try to find out where the problem IS instead of just assuming it's NC.

Once you've done that, you'll have some concrete information to contact support with and get the problem resolved. You have to help yourselves.

run a tracert to that address and see if you can ID where it's dropping the connection. If it's somewhere between your ISP and NC, all you'll be able to do is inform support and hope it's fixed soon.

The beta testing has nothing to do with your problem.. If support are telling you that you have problems on port 6994, perhaps checking with your ISP and asking if they've started blocking that port is in order?

The servers themselves are fine. I can connect and play with no problems. Virgin Media here.

What ISP's are you on?
Have you done a tracert to the servers? What hop does it fail at?

That has little to do with it.

I can guarantee you, the servers are fine; I can login and play without ANY problems.

By "your end", I mean somewhere between your PC and NC's servers. You likely have a routing problem from your end.

I'm not going to commit to it being a good OR bad thing, personally. I just hope that, once CoR is released, the free issues team gets bigger again... If I16 is as lackluster as I15, I can't see people reacting well.
