Can't play...simple uh?

I'm getting the can't connect to DB server message on every server I've tried. I've tried over the last couple days and the same thing has happened. I can make it to server select screen, when I click it holds for 10-15 seconds and then sends me back to the log in.

When i manage to select a character it doesn't load and kick me back to the log in screen with a message reading: No mapServer connection. Try again.

Now I can't log in becasue it can't find the login servers even though the server board says they are up.

I still can't log on. In fact, I can't get the updater to connect at all. Even more, the updater shows the "page not found" message. I have formatted the system, reinstaled the game at least six times... I can not connect at all. What to do?

The NC Support guys says that my 6994 port has some problems...I have checked it out but it's nonsense...i'm not running a firewall (even Window's one is off) and i use a cable modem to connect to the internet.

So, time to load my gun and shoot myself or anyone has any idea that could help me?

I've checked the forums and there more people in my situation, my feeling is that the beta-testing is f***ing the connections somehow...so, any ideas?

The beta testing has nothing to do with your problem.. If support are telling you that you have problems on port 6994, perhaps checking with your ISP and asking if they've started blocking that port is in order?

The servers themselves are fine. I can connect and play with no problems. Virgin Media here.

I have already asked to my ISP and they say everything is fine.

After a netstat command, you can see this:

206-127-145-195.plaync.com:6994 ESTABLISHED

So my 6994 port is fine, right?

I've been playing since 2005 with 0 failures, but suddenly i got this. One day i'm playing and next i'm stuck as hell.

run a tracert to that address and see if you can ID where it's dropping the connection. If it's somewhere between your ISP and NC, all you'll be able to do is inform support and hope it's fixed soon.

I have ran it, and it sends 6 packages and drops after ip direction 212.162.4.5 . So i have informed but got no response yet. Mi port is ok but the packages get losts between my pc and his host, so it's not my fault...or is it?
