Yes, pool powers will be customizable in the future, at some point. Primary/Secondary sets had priority at the time, and GR has priority now, but pool powers are planned.
Epic pools are not a certainty. While it would theoretically be the same tech that they will use to customize the regular pools, the PPPs are supposed to be directly granted by the appropriate Arachnos patron, so customization makes less sense. And if they don't add customization for PPPs, they may not add customization for the APPs, simply for equality. -

I recommend sending a PM to a mod to get this moved to the Guide section, actually
(But it's good info!) -
Where do you live? The in-game ads were (are) based on IP location; people in the US get different ads from people in Canada get different ads from people in the UK. Et cetera.

We've got Code Geas: Lelouch of the Rebellion up already. I'm curious if that's including Code Geas: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 or not? R2 is sort of a second season, and sort of a separate anime. In either case, I'd like to point out its existence, and I will claim that R2 is the better of the two.
R2 most certainly comes after the other in the timeline of the world (specifically, one year after), but it can stand on its own feet as a series in medias res. However, if you watch the end of Lelouch of the Rebellion and immediately start on Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, most of the first episode will be thoroughly confusing. (Confusion should be cleared up by the end of the episode, though.)
Aside from that, I'll toss up a +1 for Blood: the Last Vampire, though I prefer the series that came after it, Blood+. Also a +1 for Read or Die (and similarly, don't forget R.O.D. the TV). +1 for Ouran High School Host Club, Excel Saga, Moon Phase, and Lupin III. +1 to Ranma ½ and to Fushigi Yugi: the Mysterious Play.
Finally, I'd recommend adding Renkin 3-kyū Magical ? Pokān (Magical Pokaan for short)*. 12 episodes (each consisting of 2 15-minute "spells") plus 3 similar length OVAs. Best description would be a comedy poking fun at magical girls. Very little continuity between the "spells", much less the episodes. The cast consists of:- Liru, a werewolf who turns into a puppy at the sight of anything resembling the full moon... except the actual full moon.
- Pachira, a vampire concerned with her small bust size.
- Yuuma, a witch who is completely incompetent except when she's sick.
- Aiko, an android whose technical specs would make a floppy disk look good.
- Keimie, an invisible woman who... doesn't do very much.
* The question mark in the full title isn't a failing of your computer, it's actually part of the title. -

Quote:And a trademark CAN be made of real words, too. "Divine Pure Apple" is trademarked. Hell, if you watch a commercial for a Droid phone, it points out at the bottom of the screen that "Droid" is a trademark of Lucasfilm. They can't copyright a name like Red Mist, because it's made of two normal real world words.
That's why 90's Grim Dark comic characters have misspelled names, because it's easier to copyright those. -

Quote:Hell, I think the current version of the /reply command simply fills the input box with the appropriate /tell <soandso>,Additionally, (again, new code), allow trial accounts to REPLY to tells, but not start their own conversations. Could even be a new command, /trialreply or something. The error message when using standard reply (/r /reply) or standard tells should state the availability of the /trialreply command.

I was playing with a DS/Pain MM in closed beta. Unlike all the other MM weapons, the whip attacks didn't suck total balls (plus, they look cool). On multiple occasions I... "accidentally" failed to prevent a teammate's death. Then I used Conduit of Pain to get +Dam, +Tohit, +Rech, and +Rec. (And on top of making myself more awesome, those buffs were especially useful in those levels when I had no enhancements to speak of nor any endurance management)

Why are we spooning Recluse, again?

Quote:The current parameters of the policy are an inactive account (unpaid, not unplayed), and under level 6. More information. For being gone too long? No. AT WORST, when the devs run a script (it is very infrequently run), all characters that meet certain criteria - belong to an account that has lapsed for 'x' months, and are under level 'y' (I think 'x' is well over 6, and 'y' is 10-20) - will have their names put up for grabs.
Quote:Is using paypal/direct payments more efficient than gamecards? I vaguely recall reading that gamecards cost a tidbit more.
Paying with credit card or whatnot on a monthly basis is also $14.99/mo. If you pay in larger blocks (eg, 6mo, 12mo), the payment is (obviously) higher, but the cost per month is reduced (IIRC, 12mo payments come out to something like $11-12/mo).
Correct. Any boxed copy of the game will get you everything the game has to offer. If you find an Architect Edition box, though, I recommend it simply because it comes with a choice of either the Cyborg or Magic booster pack ($10 value each). -

What's Pandora? Aside from a chick or a planet in a movie, I mean.

Quote:Certain powersets are able to obtain an effectively limitless amount of endurance for their purposes without dipping into Stamina, but in general yes.The fact is simple: Any build that lacks the fitness pool will never be as efficient at accomplishing the one thing that advances a character through the levels as the same combo with the fitness pool.
Then you've got Regeneration and Willpower Scrappers with Body Mastery who pick up Fast Healing, Quick Recovery, Health, Stamina, and Physical Perfection. -
-
VEATs do not have "a version of Stamina". They have a higher base recovery, which actually doesn't do too much on its own. The VEAT inherent means that recovery buffs (... such as Stamina) are more effective.

Quote:Yes! Make an updated version of the Bootleg Edition (the disk that comes with it is now horribly outdated), and release it everywhere you can. Bootleg Edition is what got me into the game in the first place. Do it to more people!3. Drop off tons of Bootleg disks at comic stores.
Quote:3. City of Heroes needs a cardgame. I don't think the Heroclix thing really worked as the Collectable figures is pretty niche. A self contained card game like Race for the Galaxy or Dominion would be a good way to get more visibility to the MMO game. You can stick game brochures in the gamebox for example. It also gets the "City of heroes" name on other sites such as boardgamegeek which has quite a worldside following. (I'll even design the card game for you want to do it)
I mean, we could have things like...
Flesh Robot Zombie -- Vahzilok
Army of Spider-Themed Mooks -- Arachnos
Evil Diplomatic Immunity -- Arachnos soldier holding up a paper
Megacorp -- Crey
Prison with a Revolving Door -- Arachnos soldiers walking out of Ziggursky Prison
Steampunk Mount -- Nemesis Horse -

There's also the idea that was thrown around a while back of opening up the in-game ad system to let players put up ads for their supergroups or events or whatnot. I'm not sure how far into your court something like that would fall, though.

Quote:Well, the Villain ATs aren't really even supposed to have equivalents with the Hero ATs at all. The initial concept for Masterminds was that they would 'tank' in the sense that they would stand back and send their disposable minions in to die while everyone else attacked. Of course, the best laid plans of mice and developers are shattered to pieces when a player gets involved; the MM players would try to join the battle, and they got killed for their trouble, not to mention the critters would ignore the henchmen for more threatening targets.Care to point out where this has been stated by the rednames?
If you look at the mechanics of Brutes compared to Masterminds, you can see that Brutes are intended to be the team equivalents of Tankers redside.
...
Masterminds were only ever intended to be the Tankers of redside in the extremely early development phases of CoV. It hasn't been stated anywhere near recently that Masterminds are anything even resembling Tankers. If anything, they're most akin to Controllers and Defenders in that they provide support along with damage and chaos control.
Brutes aren't supposed to be tanks, they're supposed to be more like a berserker. They don't get taunt effects because they're supposed to manage aggro for the team, they get taunt effects because the more aggro they have, the more damage they can deal. They don't get survivability because they're the tanks, they get survivability because they'd die with all that aggro unless they have the survivability.
Masterminds aren't supposed to be tanks (except, I believe, in a passing comment from Jack, but that doesn't really count), they're supposed to be minion masters. Bodyguard mode was a compensation between what was originally intended, what the AI does and what players wanted to do. As it stands, MMs in bodyguard can be better at absorbing an alpha strike than anyone else (effectively 75% resistance simply by having 6 pets*, matching the Brute/Tanker cap with 6 pets and 60% actual resistance of their own, and getting up to 93.75% total effective resistance when they're capped, and you can stack defense on top of that). However, MMs can't compare to Brutes and Tankers for holding on to aggro, simply because the two Taunt effects that MMs have access to are terrible.
* I believe the ghosts Necromancy MMs extract from their dead pets can be used for BG, too, so they can theoretically get 8 pets in BG, for 80% effective resistance from pets, reaching 90% total effective at 50% personal res, and getting up to 95% when capped. -

As far as I know, that's not a problem you can solve without renaming the channel. Channels with spaces in their names require quotation for the /send command, and the game's parsing for MNU files is not sophisticated enough to distinguish the inner and outer quotes.
What you could try doing, is to set your chat window to "Active Tab" (the little 'A' above the input box), rather than any specific channel. Then, rather than "beginchat /send...", use "tabselect ...$$startchat". Tabselect doesn't appear to require quotes around the tab name (and the tab name doesn't need to match the global channel either), so if you've always got global channel X in a tab named Y (and X is the default channel of Y), then you can simply move the chat focus to Y and start chatting.
For example:
Option "&5 VU2010" "tabselect virtue lfg alpha$$beginchat [$name, $level $archetype]: "
This would require that you have the chat send mode set to Active Tab, and you have a tab named "virtue lfg apha" (case insensitive) with the Virtue LFG Alpha global channel set as the default. -
I thought that prevention was for Teleport Foe, since TP Foe's range is beyond the range you can normally see opponents. If you can't target through someone else, you can't have them help you TP-gank someone.
