  1. First we were too powerful...
Then we were able to reclaim a little of our former glory...
And now, here's the Incarnate system...

Where will it all end! What does it all mean! Who ate all the Frusen Glädjé!
  2. I started playing a 'pay once' unnameable thing in early 2005, and in the box was a brochure depicting other unnameable things, one of which featured super duper heroic types, which I found to be very interesting, as I've always enjoyed reading super hero comics, but it wasn't until October of 2005 that I decided to take my first step into the heretofore untrod world of 'pay to play' unnameable things. Many, many, many payments later, I'm still here, still paying, still playing.

This particular unnameable thing was also my reward to myself for quitting smoking back in 2005. Monetarily speaking, $15 per month on an unnameable thing is less debilitating to the bank account than $30+ per week on smokes.

Go. Grind. Rinse/repeat. Gotcha. Very rewarding indeed!

So... what's the chance of any of this Incarnate stuff being awarded retroactively for those among us with characters that have already done those TFs?
  6. Oh, yeah. Still an issue. Just this morning I was logged out after reading my first post of the day. But they've said they're working on it, so...

Edit: and just got logged out again.
  7. I would so play an MM if I could have...

    Dino minions!

    1-3 Compys!
    1-2 Raptors!
    An Allosaurus!

Like the popular movie versions, of course!

    Or big cats!

    1-3 Leopards or panthers!
    1-2 Tigers or Lions!
    A comic book Smilodon!

    Or bunnies!

    1-3 Small bunnies!
    1-2 Medium bunnies!
    A Large dire bunny!

I saved the latest one. If it does it again, I'll let it do it's thing then see if the files are the same size.

    Dead folks walkin' after you

By the second episode of 'The Event' I knew I was done with that show. Mass quantities of MEH.

The second episode of 'The Walking Dead', though - well, IMO it was a couple of steps down from the first episode, but still good enough to keep me watching even though I am not a fan of zombies and generally will not give anything zombie-related a chance.

The day after the second episode aired I asked someone if they watched 'Walking With Zombies'...

  12. After logging out tonight, the thing started the pre-download AGAIN. I stopped it - but damn it, it had already started replacing the previous pre-download majorpatch thing.

Well. Instead of doing this over and over again, I guess I'll copy that majorpatch thing to another folder for safekeeping, and the next time a pre-download starts I'll click that nice 'Quit' button and sit back and laugh and laugh.

What if you've already been there/done that?

I don't mind repeating content. I do it with every new alt. What I don't like is doing the same stuff over again on a character that's done it already. That's why I can't farm worth a damn, even if I get it in my head to try. So, for my 50s that have played through all the available level 50 stuff - is there going to be enough NEW level 50 stuff for them to get anywhere with this?

Incarnate Shards could be crafted into Incarnate Components so while running TFs was a faster way to get components it was not the only way. Finally all Incarnate Shards and Components were untradeable. I have no clue if they have changed any of that but hopefully it assuages your fears somewhat.
Well. I don't want to have to repeatedly repeat old content repetitiously in order to access new content. That would be DoooOooOOooOOom as far as I'm concerned. So, here's hoping there are ways to move our level 50 characters forward without having to first move them backward. Again.

  18. Is this gonna mess up the new Batgirl?

Also, Rob Liefeld... well, he must have been good at something. I don't know what, but whatever it was, it wasn't drawing or writing. Maybe knitting. Cards? Tiddlywinks?
  19. When Jean Grey died that first time back in 1980 -

I'd never seen anything like that happen in a comic book. Well. The Metal Men used to get trashed pretty much every issue... but that was different! I used to cut the Metal Men out of the comic book and play with them on the floor, which must have been linoleum as vinyl flooring wasn't available at that time, but anyway, it had a pattern with lines which were handy for use as panels, so I could create my own adventures starring the Metal Men. I never cut up an X-men comic. Except for maybe #4. I don't remember.

Of course Marvel couldn't leave it at that, and now blah blah who cares. I must be the only person who didn't buy even a single copy of the death of Superman or the back-breaking of Batman or the shooting of Captain America or the more recent death of Batman or whatever it was. Boo to all that, I say, boo!

    "Scott!"
    "Jean!"

  20. It would been funny if the zombies could detect body heat.

"Rrrrr. Blrr. Glrr. Oh, hey! What's this, then! Heat signatures! Well, all right! RRAAARRR!!!"
