I always thought this game was about being a super hero and now with the incarnate slots.. I feel even more super. So to me this is what has always been presented to me as a super hero mmo. To me the Incarnate stuff is sooo much more an endgame that what has previously been existent in CoH.

And my argument "For" the time consuming end game...people have always said "NO NO NO" to increasing the level cap because they wanted an end game that simply could not be blown through in a week or two.

I think the main problem I see from people complaining is that the incarnate "stuff" will take awhile which tells me a lot of the noise is people who want everything NOW. I like playing my toons.. all of them and that is probably why I don't feel this is a grind. If it takes me months to slot my 50s then so be it... that is months I played them.. had fun.. and got my monies worth out of my subs.

I have tried traps; it just wasn't my thing.

Now my Fire/TA corruptor - that is one of my favorite toons Great on teams. Great solo.

No reason the Incarnate system should deter altitis. Most people I know who suffer from altitis have a few 50's and well.. anywhere from 20-200 lower level alts.

And I have 6 global friends who I have not seen since probably i14-i15 come back because of all the incarnate stuff...

The thing about Incarnates is if you don't like it you don't have to do it.. ever!

So tired of people acting like they are victims.

There is nothing keeping anyone from their 100+ alts. ANYONE who has been in either i19 or i20 beta knew in advance that incarnate stuff is a time sink. It is not supposed to be something that can be done in a day... it's something for people to do and continue to do on their 50s. What is the point of an end game if it is soo easily achievable that it has been burned through in a week or two? I mean.. hello that has been the argument against increasing the level cap since day one.. that people would just burn through it and then whine they wanted more. Well here is your end game... get over it! You asked for something hard and time consuming... TADA ... your wish has been granted

Nah still a bunch of people who whine about everything and anything that changes in the game; although again with thousands of posts it makes me wonder how much time they actually spend.. ya know.. IN game.

I generally just browse the forums and laugh at the DOOMers.

ITF is one of my favorite TFs so I cannot wait

I am sure I will get the Assistant on all of my Incarnates that week

Since when does ANYONE have to do anything Incarnate? Oh wait.. you don't I have some 50's who are incarnates..some who are not.

I do not grind for shards. I do the WSF if I want to do it. As of yesterday all my Incarnates (7) are tier 3; with one being a tier 4. I have never farmed for shards, I have never done something (tf) I have not wanted to, and oh yeah I play this game to have fun...and I do.

People complaining that Apex/Tin Mage require an Alpha slot....

Katie Hannon requires you do her arc at a specific level
LRSF requires you complete the patron arc....
Rikti Mothership Raid... Not gonna get many Vanguard Merits if you haven't unlocked the badge...

The precedent for prerequisites in this game has always been there....

Heck I can't even unlock my character's costume auras any more unless I GASP... Unlock their cape... BOOOOOO! So you see if I wanna make my toon have that shiny aura.. I have to do the cape mission (Boo Devs Boo)...

Kinda like.. oh yeah.... If I wanna do the Tin Mage TF I have to unlock my alpha slot at a minimum..

I have 10 50's.. all of which have the incarnate slot.

I chose 7 to Incarnate-Up so to speak. I do the WSF once per day with one of them and maybe run a few missions on the side for some shards. All 7 of mine are Tier 3 and 1 is a Tier 4.

The Incarnate system has made me love and tweak these toons so much. If the game feels like a grind to you then I think you need to figure out why it feels that way. I find most people who say it is GRINDY also want everything NOW. If I get a shard while playing... I get one.. if not oh well still got recipes/inf/salvage/merits etc etc etc. Once you actually slot your first incarnate slot there is nothing in the game you cannot access. How I did it was - run the incarnate trial.. run an ITF.. do a few missions and BOOM..slotted.

Then just PLAY

28 seconds from the time I clicked the NCSoft Launcher until I started zoning in.....

26 seconds if I do not lose the launcher......

Yes this is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If 2 seconds of your life is that precious...I might suggest spending time in game itself is something you should be looking at instead of the few seconds more it may take to log in now. LOL

My answer to all this: SG storage

I simply dump my salvage into my SG base so that when I need it.. BOOM it is there.

I have three rooms: Common, Uncommon, and Rare...

I never understood why people join SGs and did not just create their own personal SG. All my friends and I have our own SGs, coalition with one another and all is well.

I cannot tell you the last time I had to buy salvage.... probably about 1.5 years ago. between storing and using the odd AE ticket to buy salvage it has not been a problem.

So before you go on a rant about how you can't do that etc etc... Being in a SG is your choice... Limiting your own personal storage capabilities is a choice...Needing salvage NOW is your choice... No one is making you buy salvage
