  1. Hell, just giving the ability to choose which map you want to fight on would be nice...
  2. Agreed. The Arena really needs fixing, even if nothing else in PvP gets looked at anytime soon.
  3. While I can understand the reasoning behind PvP coming second to PvE in terms of time spent, I have to agree with FF. Pleeeeeeeease fix the Arena. Especially given the greater accessibility to it in the D, it'd be shame for people to get disillusioned with PvP just because every time they tried to have a match they crashed.

The big thing is that if you make more powers and powersets PvP friendly, more people may PvP, thus making it an even bigger part of the game.

I'd like to see stalkers be deleted from the AT list, it's the most cowardly thing you could ever pick. Imho the burst damage is way too high and couple that with the stealth powers they can stack they clearly have the upper hand on even the guys who run tactics.

    - Stalkers do not help teamwork on the villain side! Almost all stalkers run solo and never team.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This is funny, because of this, this, and this.
  6. This thread was all pre elec/, hence the lack of electric..er... ness. Why it got ressurected is beyond me, it seems the reply in question is now gone.
  7. It wasnt me! Must have been a ninja necromancer..

    ninjamancer...
  8. Ahh... my first Halloween event. Groovy.
  9. Just thought I'd mention another high level brute who's run into this... my stone/inv peridically drops to near nothing on the course of a fight he could have taken easily before.

  10. The Delphian Circle. Very little is known publicly about this secret society, only that it is a dangerous group of diverse individuals, coming together to reach their own goals, whatever they maybe. Its members know, however, the true goals of the Circle: To become a force in the Isles, whispering in the ears of leaders, as well as placing its own members in positions of power. The Delphian Circle will bow to no one. Instead, the world will bow to the Circle.

((The Delphian Circle is an RP Villain Group. We accept a wide variety of character concepts and personalities, so long as they're willing to accept our rules and show respect to both members and non members.

For more info, either visit the home page here, send a PM to Fixer, or send a /tell to one of our leaders, Grey Mace, Irish-Fighter, or Noble, or an officer, Cerebremancer, Disobedient or Ghost Scream. Then we can set up an in character meeting to help decide whether the Circle is right for you... And whether you're right for the Circle. We have a roughly 2 week probationary period to determine suitablity. No promises.))

And there seem to be more then a few fans of Sam Kieth's work lurking around Virtue...*coughsangryangelcoughs*
  13. And to type in italics, use the /emote command.

All you do is, type /e (what ever you want here).

Most people seem to use to diplay that their character is doing something that the game would display... for example, if Fixer wanted to let people know that yawned widely, having just gotten out of bed, he might use something like,

/e yawns widely. He looks like he just woke up.

    And it would come out,

Fixer yawns widely. He looks like he just woke up.

Welcome to Virtue, by the way... Don't worry to much about people bickering, there are better ways to spend your time. Have fun!

Got a key with no waypoint the other day. No waypoint marker on the HUD compass, or on the mission map. Checked pretty much every door on the map. First checked the one next to the spawn, then near the spawn. We covered a couple of blocks worth of building doors with no entrances. This wouldn't have anything to do with having beaten the spawn before doing the main mission? The other times I've gotten the key, it was always after the completion of the main mission, the one time I got the key and did not get a waypoint it was when it was before the completion of the main mission.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It might have been the spawn that was keyed to the prison break side mission. Did you get a wanted poster in your clues tab? It shouldnt matter whether you do the side missions before or after the bank heist.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Did an Atlas mayhem the other day, got a Key off some skulls. The resulting clue was a wanted poster for someone named Icebeam, who I proceeded to bust out of the prison, though as reported above he totally vanished after I exited the jail. Was this supposed to be the side mission? The only waypoints on my minimap, before and after getting the key, were the mission exit, the jail, and the bank I was sent in to rob.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Probably. You only get one side mission in Atlas. Guess that was it for you that time.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
Where is the villian in the Police station, I went to the cell level and started breaking down doors to find him. Is he in a marked cell?

    [/ QUOTE ]

If he's in there, there'll be a couple of guards out the front of one of the doors. No guards, no villain.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
You're suppsed to escort the villain to the map exit? =0_o= Geez, and I thought the reward was having an NPC helping you out in the fights. <_<

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, you're supposed to take a kidnapping villain to the exit of the map, not the NPC villian.

The NPC villain is there to help you blow stuff up.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
Exactly. Going off Positron's comment that the number of side missions is level-dependent and my experience of getting dud clues (I got a wanted poster) would suggest exactly that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ah, right. I thought you were inferring that you'd get a dud, EVERY time. Gotcha then.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
To gain those missions, you need to defeat the villains in the zone where the Mayhem mission is taking place. Those are enemies who are not PPD, Psi-Cops, Police Drones or Longbow, and are usually some form of villain group resident to the zone. However, defeating those villains will only yield a dud clue. That's a clue that doesn't mean anything and doesn't give a key. It will also not generate a waypoint, or so has been my experience.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sorry, if I'm misunderstanding this, but I can state that most of the time you do in fact get a key that spawns a waypoint. Not always.

I have a feeling that there might be five spawn of non PPD enemies per zone, each keyed to a different side mission, but, depending on your level and which missions have been randomly chosen, only a certain number of them will give a key, the others giving you "duds", as you mentioned. At least, thats as near as I can ascertain.
  21. You have to take the kinapping victim all the way back to where you started the mission. Follow your compass, it should show you the way.
