    Simply the best?

    [ QUOTE ]
i'm sorry to disagree but the rare empath that doesn't attack is an excellent team player, if the empath attacks usually someone dies or goes without a buff...or if an empath fires a nuke how can they look after the team with no end? IMO empathy is the purely team support build and should always be buffing or healing the team, not attacking

    [/ QUOTE ]

So every time an empath attacks someone dies? And that buff nonsense...what are they supposed to do if all their buffs are recharging and the team is on full health?

An empath not attacking is not as useful as an empath who uses their attacks wisely.

I would like to know if Obsidian Shield is worth slotting for Dmg Res, it offers only res to Psi and the Psi component in the game is minimal so i would like to know if I can put the slots somewhere else as the Mag of it's protection can't be enhanced..
What about Cloak Of Darkness?I was thinkin of putting only an End Rdx(maybe 2)in that toggle, or is the def bonus worth enhancing?
The other armors will have 3 dmg res 1/2 end rdx(most likely 2 but 1 for sure).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah it's worth slotting but only at the late 30s because you don't need the psi res before then.

I dont think its stupid at all.

It is my opinion, and i would rather pick a more useful offensive/defensive power, than one i would hardly ever use.

If i need revive regularly, IMHO i am playing the game wrong !!

But that is just my opinion after 50 lvls of being a regen scrapper.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, it's not a good power to take when it's available at 35 but I think it is useful to get it during the late 40s. I think I got it at 47 at the end and it's definately useful at 50 as I don't really care what happens to me, I know that I can keep going from anything enemies can throw at me. Plus, it frees up inspiration slots for more Enrages
  4. Yeah, MoG is a great power for times like that. I remember tanking most of the Praetorian AVs for my regular team on the way to 50 and one particular occaison when fighting Infernal a few months ago, an inv tank was tanking with Unstoppable, when it dropped he died and I stepped in to finish him off. So satisfying
  5. Grav/Kin is excellent!

Shameless plug time...take a look at my guide
  6. That's a pretty stupid thing to say though as the whole point of the power is that it will revive you after you die. It doesn't make you have to die all the time, it's there when it's needed.

Historic evidence would seem to indicate that Claws is about to be utterly nerfed.

Remember when they were 'Looking' at Controllers?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Except we know they're going to be buffed

...and I'm not sure how claws could be nerfed anyway
  8. [ QUOTE ]
You're a regen scrapper, you have next to no defense or resistance. If you're already getting pasted, hitting MoG gives you big defense and resistance. Even if they are debuffing your defense, you're still probably going to give yourself time to RUN.

(Someone once said to me that PPs don't know how to use MoG. When they've activated MoG they stick around to fight instead of running away real fast.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ah, that's the problem. A regen scrapper doesn't run
  9. Seriously, if you want an offender you would be better taking any of the other primaries - empathy is not a good primary for an offender.
  10. If you're activating MoG around mobs which have ToHit buffs (which equate to -def debuffs) then you're asking to be killed anyway.

Your Sniper point is true, but off the top of my head the only sniper mob you'll meet when doing missions is the nemesis one - and if you're using MoG against mobs with Vengeance you're not being very clever.
  11. [ QUOTE ]
Um... the defense 'cap' for scrappers is about 500%. They used to say there was no defense cap, but apparently there is, it's just very high.

Might be 400% for scrappers and 500% for tanks. it's something stupid.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heh, I meant 'cap' in that it will cap your defence against mobs, or floor their tohit. Probably not the best way to describe it
  12. What about Power Mastery? It provides Power Build Up which will boost your acc and damage and also Total Focus which does huge damage.
  13. As said above I strongly recommend you change your primary. Empathy has no means of boosting your own paltry defender damage and is one of the reasons I rarely play my defender anymore. Rad, Dark and Kin are all good primaries if you want to make an offender and they all have powers which are team-orientated as well as helping yourself.

In I7 it might not be worth it to slot for defense anymore.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why? If anything, I'd rather have more defense than less.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In I7 I will probably be slotting it 1xDefBuff, 1xDamRes and 3xRecharge (although that is subject to testing). I *believe* it will actually cap on it's own with the defence changes but I always like to go over the top just in case eg. if you manage to activate it in the vicinity of a -def mob that you didn't realise was there.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
Ah sorry. I was getting confused between this and either FS or end gaining powers from a tanker/brute set ... the slotting advice stands, as if you slot all for recharge and have hasten and siphon speed both three slotted for recharge, you're going to find it recyling so fast there's always something about to leech off. (but that is personal preference).

    [/ QUOTE ]

The recharge for Transferance will still be quite long, and as Kinetics is a busy set you'll quickly drain your end and the smaller +end from Transferance won't be able to keep up with it.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Similarly, you really shouldn't need to slot anything you get past transference for endurance reduction - I'd also slot transference for recharge over endurance as you normally should have enough mobs for it to not be an issue (that's purely personal preference).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Transferance is a single target power, and will only give you endurance from one mob. Therefore I highly recommend 3xEndRec.
  17. Freezing Touch is exactly the same as Freeze Ray except it's melee instead of ranged.
  18. It lasts for 20 seconds and affects any secondary effects of your powers (so yes, it will affect fears and slows).
  19. [ QUOTE ]
In PvP MoG is useless against controllers, though I dont often PvP..

    [/ QUOTE ]

Surely the extra mez protection MoG gives you is an advantage when fighting controllers?
  20. [ QUOTE ]
I'd be happy if they cut the animation times in half. That'd make the [censored] attacks not quite so [censored]

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Then you'll be happy.

There will be one new animation, one changed animation and one 'borrowed' imagination; the powers effected will be Slash, Swipe and I forget the other one now.

Also: I think Hasten sometime in the past had an accuracy buff? Now with 'only' +recharge I thought it might be possible to build a character without the speed pool Do you think that's unreasonable? Looking for advice here.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hasten never had an accuracy buff (at least not since EU went live). But it's perfectly reasonable to make a character without speed pool nowadays, just as it always was (that said, I had Hasten on most of my pre-ED characters)

    [/ QUOTE ]

It used to have +def buff but that was removed in (I think) I5.
  22. Yep, Focussed Accuracy is an excellent power. I'd also recommend moving the slots out of Resiliance into Health, they'd give a better return.
  23. Integration uses very little endurance, it hardly even needs one EndRed in it.

MoG hits the resistance cap with 1 DamRes SO, and the EndRec is fine as it is. At the moment I have it slotted 1xDamRes, 3xDefBuff, 2xRecharge - but this will change after I7 and the defence changes.
