    Claws/Inv

Well for now it's just a rumour so I'll skip it. But yes, I do agree that some passives should be improved (ie: adding +res/+def bonus per foe in melee range or something like that).

Claws is all about the Follow Up.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Even if it is a pretty lame attack, it was one of the main reasons why I went for Claws. I love them for concept but having a permanent damage and accuracy buff (Not sure about the numbers but lets say 30%)? Uuuuuuber
Anyway, so far I've picked Strike, Slash and Follow up. I do think Slash is a good attack (-def helps a bit at low lvls) and probably I'll keep it for quite a while. I've never been a fan of Shockwave. It might be fun to use, but I don't like knockback effects that much.
About Inv, it is my first time with an Inv Scrapper. But I'm aware of the value of most powers. Picking all of them was my first intention but REL and REN aren't worthy. I'll go for Aid or Tough+Weave. Thanks for feedback

I don't like Aid pool that much. But maybe I'll go for it. Ty for feedback.

    Claws/Inv

So far I'm enjoying pretty much this Scrapper. Here's the plan I've made for it:

    ---------------------------------------------
Exported from Ver: 1.6.9.0 of the CoH_CoV Character Builder

I'm not sure if I'll pick Shockwave, REL and REN. I might go for Tough instead. Just wondering if I need more EndReds or this should be fine? Cheers

    Claws/Inv

Another alt to come and this time will be an Invuln Scrapper. What powers are skipable on */Inv set? I'm looking at the CoH builder right now and they all seem useful if I want to scrap nicely. And about Focus.. Does it works like a Build Up? If it does it has a really small recharge (wich is uber *drools*). Tips are welcomed. Cheers
  6. I'd rather put recharges on Hibernate instead of Heals since you can keep the taunt effect for quite a while even when your hibernating. As for EPP I would go for Ice Mastery. More than just for concept, Ice Patch+CE+IceStorm is a great combo imo. You also should consider putting 1-2 taunts on CE just to make sure you can keep some aggro while hibernating.
  7. Honestly for PvE I think Mind/Storm or Grav/Storm would be better trollers. But then again, if you want to unleash hell and finish mobs in a few secs then Fire/Kin is the way to go. I don't PvP much but for what I've seen, Fire/Storm is a big headache for most ppl.
  8. The main (probably the only good reason) why you've been told to go for a Fire/Kin is because of its crazy damage. Fulcrum Shift + Speed Boost + Rabid Monkeys = Chaos. However if you are going mainly for PvP then I would recomend Fire/Storm instead for several reasons: a repel and great accuracy debuffer, a -fly power, a stealth with +res and if you like a good disorient power.
  9. All sugestions are welcomed mate I'm going for SS aswell. Maybe later on I'll get fly just for concept. Cheers
  10. Ty for feedback. I'll give it a try then. What travel power you went for?
  11. Not much to say. I'm going for a Gravity troller. Just can't decide between Storm or Rad. Rad would probably make things easier and get me into a team quite often but Storm seems to be fun and have some nice tricks on it. Any suggestions? Cheers
  12. [ QUOTE ]
Well my first toon was an ice/ice tank back in i3. Honest to the truth I deleted it in i5 (if you were playing your tank by then, you'll understand why).

    [/ QUOTE ]

My first toon was Ice/Ice back on CoH beta test It was squishy indeed. But I loved it.
  13. Yea, your completely wrong mate. SS works as Stealth when you pass through a mob ( or Invisibility if you have Stealth power on ). That's all. No +Def.
  14. There are several ways of playing the Ice Tanker I guess. Anyway, asnwering directly to the topic question, AidSelf is better than Tough/Weave IMO. But you will certainly find Hibernate very helpful (not just as a panic button) and you'll use it several times.
  15. I know he doesn't have Hibernate yet. All I'm saying is I'd rather pick Hibernate at 32 than picking Stimulant at 30 and AidSelf at 32. Now if you want to be a totally independent tanker, who can do everything on his own without needing your team's help, then go for aid self. If not, Ice Patch, EA, Hoarfrost, Hibernate and the precious help from your team will be more than enough.

*I'm assuming you're not building a PvP char. If you are then I do think you should pick aidself.*
  16. By slotting Hibernate with 3 recharges and having hasten running, you don't really need a self heal (I'm assuming you use Hoarfrost to increase your HP instead of self healing). Plus, you seem to have enough experience to stay alive for 20seconds while Hibernate is recharging.
  17. Another alt is coming and this time will be a Scrapper. I'm thinking of Spines/Dark (for AoE carnage), Spines/Inv or MA/Inv. Ah, and I'm not a PvP'er since my computer is a piece of trash. Any suggestions are welcomed. Cheers
  18. Ty for feedback. Howdy Faulty, hope to see you again soon mate
  19. I'm thinking of rolling a debuffer. Can't decide between dark/dark (extra to-hit debuff) or dark/rad (extra defence debuff). And no, I don't want to go do radiation(primary) instead. DM is uber

    Grav/*

I'm starting a Grav troller. Just can't figure out the secondary. All I know is that I wont take Empathy or Kinetics. Any tips?
    PS: I'm not a pvper :P

    Perma Frost

My Ice tanker is currently L33 and I'm doing fine without Permafrost. Probably you should go for Medicine (Aid Other+Aid Self) instead.
  22. I'm picking Aid Self then. And just for the record.. Ice Tanker was my first character ever (on CoH beta test)
  23. Actually I use Hoarfrost before battle to increase my HP.. :P
  24. Hello folks. What do you think it will be better for a Ice/Nrg Tanker: Aid Other+Aid Self or Boxing+Tough? Even with Hoarfrost and Hibernate, its still a pain when I run into a +3mob. Thanks in advance
  25. False_Fiction

    Hoarfrost

Can it be perma? Currently I got it sloted with 3rech SOs and the downtime is quite short. I wonder if by picking Hasten I can make it perma.
