  1. What if we used Game Time Cards to play? My account will be active until the end of January due to the GT Cards, but under Subscription it says "none." Am I still considered a subscriber? >_>

Not sure if this is correct. Seems way too short compared to the others?

    PB or WS?

I prefer Peacebringers. Their power colors look awesome

Bah! That's nothing. One lucky ITF run would get me more than enough ^^

  11. That would be awesome! But after seeing all the technical talk, It makes me sad that it's most likely not going to happen. Besides, I would never give up my wings ;P

Edit: Also, the Mu don't have anything to do with the netherworld.
I was only using the Sands of Mu as an example since it's the only "Dark" based temp power that I know of. :P I just meant add a power similar in the sense that it deal negative energy and/or has the same affect as Sands
    (-acc) or DM (-ToHit)
  13. That link leads to the Oranbega missions. . . I don't see what the relevance is between that and the Netherworld >.>
  14. I promise I searched this forum for a post similar to this one, but I didn't see one. So apologies if it's a repeat ^^

Am I the only one who wonders what the "Netherworld" is actually like? I mean we have a bunch of powersets that get their powers from this mysterious area/dimension but I can't find a description of what this place would look like. Or anything about the zone at all, besides it's a place full of energy? Not to mention all the enemy groups who also draw energy or even come from the Netherworld. My curiousity has gotten the better of me I guess.

So here's my idea, how about delving deeper into the Netherworld!
This could be done by just adding a new contact/story arc used to unlock this new zone (Kind of how you unlock Cimerora) and can even use the Midnighters Club to lead you there. The zone COULD be like Dark Astoria, in the sense that it's a dark and dreary place full of undead and crazy people. Or it could be more of a metropolis area (I.e. Steel Canyon) with just a darker theme to it.

    The zone itself would give:
More badges (For all you badgers out there)

A new enemy group or two (Nether Knights of Doooom or something like that!)

Unlockables from running the story arcs in zone (Sort of like Sands of Mu for non Vets maybe?)

And maybe even a TF! (A Shadow demon plans on taking his army of Netherworlders to destroy the earth! Again, just throwing ideas out there )

If this idea is totally ridiculous and I've completely lost my mind, don't be afraid to tell me so. But if you think this idea just might work and I've had a stroke of genius then feel free to add/change anything that would make it more realistic! I'm a sucker for dark themes like this and Dark Astoria is just too out of the way and honestly useless. Just my opinion anyways ^^

Don't be fooled by the shinyness(sp)! The new channel is nothing but a polished version of the old one. It's a fake shine for sure. *nodnods*
  16. First off, just wanted to say thanks for posting this Thread! I'm not exactly new to RP, but I still found it to be very helpful. It really takes an effort to create a character with a seperate story/background/personality than your own. And then to play said character. I don't think some people realize that, and they're usually the people spamming about how RPing is "Lawl" in which the RPers reply "Go back to Freedumb":P

Secondly, as far the symbols people use when communicating, why does it really matter? Seriously. Ask yourself WHY your getting upset that people (( Use brackets to talk OOC. ))

In the example given where a non-RPer asks a question in a team with only a couple RPers, what is the difference if the RPers use brackets? A whole, two seconds longer to type their sentence?

If someone is confused about why you put brackets then just explain that to an RPer it means they are talking OOC. Simple right?

And yes it IS a habit for some people. Sure, we catch ourselves sometimes but once you get used to doing something specific it's hard to stop. Especially if your not thnking about it.

Back to the point though, ask yourself WHY you dislike people using it. Maybe you were emotionally scarred as a child by some horrid use of a bracket. Or maybe you dislike the thought of words being trapped in an enclosed space like that. *shrug*

Whatever the reason, and I mean this is the nicest way, just get over it. No ones going to stop using them.
  17. I disagree with both of you!

A Dark Manipulation set would be SO tempting that I would just have to break my one rule and roll a Blaster
I love the whole "Gravity Blaster" concept though. Maybe you could add the pet to it though, kind of like how Elec Blast has the Voltaic Sentinel?

Okay then, seperate the goals. When I posted this I was just adding PvP as an afterthought. This game doesn't have a strong enough base to make a pure PvP character anyways. What I want is a toon who can solo AV's and, at the very least, hold it's own in PvP. If that's not possible between the two sets, or if it would cost two builds to do (I can barely afford one build!!) then forget it. I'll have to be content with soloing an AV

Okay, I'm guessing that DDR does NOT = Dance Dance Revolution? x_x

If that was all we got, I would be completely content. Really, how sweet would Dual Scimitars or Ninja Blades look with flame auras?! Or a bow made up completely of darkness/flame/ice etc etc. If they can customize power colors or body auras, how much harder could it be to add them to the few Weapon categories?
  20. So DM/SD is what i'm leaning towards then. I'm easily persuaded A few questions though. . .

I noticed most DM builds don't take Touch of Fear. Is it not very useful or do they just find something more practical toward the build to replace it?

And how should my attacks like Dark Consumption, Siphon Life, Soul Drain be slotted? They do great damage plus some very useful effects. Should I go with IO's or Sets?
  21. I need help deciding between a DM/WP and a DM/SD. I'm mainly going for a build that can solo AV's fairly well. Might go for another try at PvP also.

WP is easily my favorite scrapper set to go with but I notice it has some trouble taking Alphas. Could be I'm just slotting my builds wrong *shrug* Shield I've never tried, but from what I've seen they're pretty amazing. Only thing I'm worried about is the End. Is Dark Consumption and Stamina enough? And I know I know, the best powerset is the one you have the most fun playing. Trouble is I like to play just about any Scrapper. x_x

So, any and all pointers, advice, builds etc. etc. is appreciated
