    For some reason the developers class it as a bug and always get a fix in for it when they have re introduced it back into the game on another patch.

    I do wish they would just leave it unfixed next time they re introduce it.

    they were saying they wanted to add this port to mission as a feature of an improvement rather than being the default.
  2. i disagree actually, SR requires less careful play than the other sets purely because your secondary doesnt actually require any interaction.

    regen - heals
    dark - heal
    invul - heal
    sr - toggles and passives

    you put your toggles on and you're good to go and start hitting things, all the others require further work to get them to do their thing. sr you are either not hit and fine or hit and dead, theres little middle ground and little recovery time.

    of the good SR scrappers i've seen, they've been more gung ho than the regen and survived better because of that absolute lack of need to take their mind off their primary.

    Having started retail with a DM/regen i've gone thru all the scrapper secondaries (not hard) and now currently have a scrapper of all types other than katana and i do think that while regen is good its actually SR that is the most 'scrappery' feeling.

    i find it useful to oneshot minions that are fleeing, it actually has quite a good range on it

  5. we made it to 3 missions from the end of positron so can pick up next week so everyone gets the badge.

    end level point for me was 15.7

    so thats .3 bubs to try and resist the lure of jump kick to go with flurry and air super
  6. whatever (if anything) was brought in to add additionals to scrappers and tanks, please please make them exclusives. doubling one into the other is just a cop out

    an illusion tank... with level 32 phantom army of themselves (no damage component though), that'd be grand
  7. pretty tough question really (this is 3rd attempt at replying ).

    i had a couple of different plans on my human/dwarf shade.

    first up was 1-24 for speed, not doing much damage and using orbiting death as the primary damage leecher. these were quite tough levels with a few key powers, sunless mire, the level 18 hold, stygian circle, dwarf and stamina. Stygian circle was picked up before dwarf or stam.

    after that i respecced and dropped shadow bolt in favour of shadow blast. haste got slotted up and inky aspect+gravitic emanation became the primary soft control.

    40s dwarf was fully slotted up and pet+unchain essence slotted up. at this point you're a disorient master


    doing it again i'd probably do what i did this time, not 100% plan it at all and just pick things and see what happens, theres only a few stinker powers in there, but even those i bet someone likes (somewhere). have a vague idea of what you want and build it like that.

    if want my initial to 40 build i can provide or if you just wanna chat then giz a shout.

    my experience is if you can get up to 18ish then you're home dry

  11. i saw the gms just about entering the goo heading for Empath, put the shout on broadcast that 2 gms were inc, one footstomp later Empath was down, hammerfall died, then the 2nd empath died and the controller team i was in started wiping out.

    i didnt see if the gms were dragged in by anyone or not but they both made a total beeline for Empath in the tank healing team.

    basically as soon as the controllers started taking flak mitos spawned and it was game over.

    interestingly despite being the first on the gms and unloading full attack chains into them they didnt turn to attack me until tank team was entirely whipped.

    thats one cool mission, i really enjoyed the whole of my 40-50 arc on my warshade, now if they could get an arc per AT or specific origin arcs that open up like the Kheld arcs for normal characters

    would be better as temp power so all teh uber l33t hardcore pvp self proclamed gods would have to run round with fluffy ear muffs on for minmaxing pvp play
  16. i generally find that i have more fun with a character by not planning and min maxing, but letting it happen naturally as the character levels.

    for example not actually planniing anything pre20, then using a 24ish to drop duffers or respec stamina in, then use the other respecs up at high level, and naturally readjusting the char to match my idea of what i want.

    yep some end up minmaxed but its by evolution rather than a god plan. heck it took 5 respecs and 6 months pondering what i wanted out of a character for the last respec on extragonk

    brings a point up, did they ever explain why they put an ACC check on tanker taunt after they reduced its duration down in pvp anyway?

    taunts a verbal effect (if its not i wanna see a tank mooney animation!), surely the only way to avoid the taunt would be to be wearing hear muffs (i wanna see pink fluffy ear muffs temp power in pvp).

    mind you same could be said for all other taunts

    Dark\Dark build

    i think mines similar to yours Dead, however i've slotted all the attacks with debuffs, i was really surprised at what a difference it made being able to effectively debuff 3 mob groups at once using tents, nightfall and darkest night.

    i also slotted howling twilight up with 3 recharge.

    After reading about slotting fluffy with tohit debuffs and dropping him on groups i changed slotting to that - its fab! he doesnt seem nearly as squishy now
  21. i just respecced my BS/sr to having aid other and its working really well, with two interrupts in it i can sometimes get a heal off mid DoT.

    as Dark Blas says, once you're slotted up and high enough i found i just stopped using slice and parry nearly as much as (with hasten) disembowl and headsplitter are up for use so much.

    Also see if you can get disembowel and build up (plus hasten) slotted up for pre 30, this way you can one shot critical kill stalkers in sirens

    was top fun all round i found, i loved the way when we all got siphon speed we immediately all ran out of endurance
