Recruiting: We are ALWAYS recruiting and trying to find the "Unknown" talent from all over CoH.

LOL @ RP: Our Main Goal is to Find, Train and Retain players and teach them fundamental game mechanics, team building skills & leadership among all other things. We will never turn RP'rs away, but usually turn them into gaming addicts rather than help thier RP cravings. ***On a sidenote I find it insulting that you would insinuate that an SG has to even state thier RP activity or Lack There of so you can push your goal of making NON RP'rs unwelcome***, we are a Haven for NON RP'rs all around, and many wonderful players enjoy knowing that they have a place to get away from the wakos.

PvP Level: We do Regular PvP Raids, and a Yearly PvP "Royal Rumble" for our SG members only. The winner usually wins 1-200 Million Dollars + a Random Drop of thier choice, & whatever everyone throws in the "Pot" for the winner.

Theme/Concept: As Previously stated, our main goal is to provide an SG that is focused to find unknown talent from throughout CoH. Our secondary goals after we have found you is to mold you into better players and hopefully leaders so you can help train new players and give them the foundation to build a better tomorrow for other new and unknown players.

Activity: Our SG has broken into the Top 100 SG list on this server in under 3 mo's. Our other 5 Divisions comprise our 6 Division Coalition. We have 1 "Retirement" division to storehouse our 50's and plan on opening up 1 more active division this month and 1 more "Retirement" division to help us compliment our warehouse of awesome toons!!! This will bring us up to 8 divisions soon. We provide Teamspeak, a Website and Forums for all members while retaining a Global Channel for all Veteran Members that have shown the capacity to help us mold new players into great leaders.

Requiremens For Membership: Being able to breath, Sit Upright & Follow our Policies and Procedures. We also encourage folks to use Teamspeak whenever possible, it helps to keep everyone together and spread information faster while breeding comraderie.

I've been playing CoX since Dec. 2004 in an on again/off again manner, the one thing that always made me feel I could come back was that unlike most games, all aspects of the game evolved and changed, not just the "endgame", and there never was the hidebound mentality of "You need X and only X to do Y, and nothing else will succeed." In the past month and a half of trying, I've been repeatedly told that there is no point in my Inv/SS tanker trying to tank the Statesman TF, that ONLY stone tanks can do this. Now, this isn't a month and a half of trying the TF and not succeeding, this is a month and a half of not even being allowed to try because I'm not a Stone Tank.

If this was an alt, I wouldn't care, but this is the character who was my first character, not just in CoX, but the first MMO character I have ever played. He's the one I play best, who I have spent 90% of my time and inf on, and the one I love to play and has had most of my creative energy expended on.

So I need to know:

Is this a fluke, and I'm only getting input from people who think that for some reason Stone is the only "true" tank, or are they right, and the character I made now obsolete as far as the reason he was created in the first place, to tank?

Whoever told you that Invuln tankers can't run STF's is a FIRST CLASS NOOB!!!! I Prefer Invulns on STF's. I consistantly run MSTF's on my invuln. Stone tankers are slow, but you will always hear the argument that they are gods of STF's. God or not, i will take an invuln over a stone any day for sheer speed.

Everything in this game can be geared for whatever you want to do, simple game mechanics make it a wonder to behold. If you ever need help rebuilding your Invul tanker I am @EverStryke

Also, just to bear creedance to what I said, I have repeatedly Tanked LR with an Inv/Kat Scrapper and gotten MSTF's.

SO SG's should make teams for all of thier members? At what point are the members held to the same standards?

I encourage team forming leaders in my sg. And it works WELL!!! We don't even allow LFT to be spoken in our SG. You either form a team, or you say "Willing to help", that's it.

Of course all you get in response is "I am not a leader" or "I hate the star", my only response to that is.... dont [censored] about something you obviously have the ability to change, you obviously lack the true dedication or desire to do something about.

*Rumors are spreading among particular secretive channels that someone calling himself Agonus is putting out a call for new blood to join his group, the Supreme Society, as well as a gathering of younger "citizens" the Society works with nicknamed the Teen Tyrants. Interested persons are to keep an eye on the abandoned labs in Port Oakes for further instructions.

There's not much concrete information out there on Agonus. Arachnos records show that he came to the Rogue Isles for the first time on a private flight from Libya in October of 2008. He is known to wear full body armor, though no one knows what he looks like underneath his mask.

As for the Supreme Society, word is that they openly flaunt their ultimate goal of world domination, but they haven't done enough just yet to draw more attention than they can handle. There's a building in Cap Au Diable believed to be their major base of operations, and there's talk of all kinds of high tech patents, arms dealing, and weapons manufacturing connected to the organization. A couple of big names in the “villain” community with maximum threat levels have also been allied with the Society for some time now, though they're supposed to be looking for new members of all threat levels and origins.

Some months ago, the Teen Tyrants, depending on the age of the person you talk to, were either started as a training grounds for younger malcontents, or started by a teenaged gang out to prove themselves.*

I like the effort & enthusiasm but the promblem w/that scenario is when you have a large group like that the lag in the zone is SO BAD that it makes actual PvP unplayable.

If you want to compete & have some viable PvP action then bring a team of 8 of your best players & the sitting ducks & various PvP friends of mine will be happy to show you how bad you are.......

bad in Sirens Call & Bloody Bay. Got everyone in our SG Shivans and had a good hour camping the villain bases and swarming anyone that tried to come near. I love Bloody bay, it's a shame most new players have no idea about it or are too scared to try it. My SG will definatly keep it busy so we encourage more folks to keep coming into the PvP zones week after week.

Just meeting a PUG group and hoping for a Masters seems quite improbable. Don't get me wrong, it can happen on any given day... but HIGHLY unlikley. Me and my associates will be ramping up our nightly STF runs very soon and teaching STF's to a lot of new players soon. So hopefully you meet a few that are interested in STF's and it helps you out sometime down the road. NIGHTLY STF'S FTW!!!

I used to get annoyed with the days of general broadcasts for Sewer teams; however, there is a new plague that has swept your lands, to which I apologize for. I've seen only AE farm teams lfm and AE teams looking for very specific things. Controllers with holds, Healers, Tankers, and Kinetics. Healer gets to me, because either they are asking for Empathy the "healer set" (to which I disagree completely with) or someone with a heal, which is silly when there are other things that can be done to off set the need for healers. A properly played team with a good group of players can always trump what cards are dealt with them. Why has Atlas turned into a "I need a healer for my AE team" and "Need good holds for AE boss team." I mean, a properly played set of pretty much any Defender or Controller will contribute the same amount if not more than what is being asked for. I have a level 50 Empath Defender and a level 31 Kinetics Corruptor and have found myself feeling more of an asset to the team on my Mind/FF Controller and greatest contribution on my Storm/Dark Defender. I know how to play me level 50s, and play them well. People give me props for how I play my support characters, so my proposition is either people get over the idea of needing particular things or people learning how to best utilize their characters for the team's betterment. Some need to have the tank hide around corners, other teams need to have all their blasters and scrappers go straight for the throat and defeat everything in their wake. Tactics and good players (which usually goes hand in hand) trumps the ideal team 9 times out of 10.
