Bladewing stopped, not ten feet from where he had started, scratching the back of his head in consternation.

"Hmmmmm, why do I feel like the [censored] is about to hit the fan here.......ah well better not to chance losing the one means of finding my page and revenge victim."

Still scratching his head, Bladewing walked back towards the Soulhound.

Bladewing winced from the volume of Energon's transmission.

"Owwwww, a bit loud, but the again he said one of my favorite phrases "Holy [censored]", which usually means that the person in question has found either a huge mob of villans, or insurmountable odds."

Grinning Bladewing looked at the puddle man next to him.

"I'll let you guard this lizard, I've got feeling that theres a huge fight somewhere, and I'll be damned if I miss a fight that can cause someone as good as Energon to say Oh [censored]!"

With those words Bladewing streaked off for the location of Eneregon's transmission, hoping that the blaster hadn't killed all the villans by the time he got there.

Bladewing skidded to a halt ten feet in front of the tracking lizard, claws digging furrows in the blacktop, and waves of heat shimmering off his scales.

"Hmmm first one here, and no city rep or archvillan in sight, I honestly wonder why I concented to follow a so called "Soul drake", ive never even heard of one of those before anyway."

Bladewing looked out from his imprint in the wall at the cage of electricity that had formed around him. Brushing concrete dust from his shoulders he stepped from the imprint and let the cage enclose him.

Or rather the spot where he had been, because Bladewing was already behind the clockwork cleaving their heads in two for making him seem like some saturday morning cartoon.

"Oh when I catch this guy, He isnt gonna make it to the Zig, I'll bury him in Boomtown!"

Bladewing watched as the tracker soared skyward, and flew towards the cannonade.

"Oh man, now the clocks are gonna have clean shots at my ticket to the page I need."

Increasing his running speed, Bladewing began to slice, dice, chop, and generally wreck every clockwork within a 300 yard line underneath and to the sides of the tracker, judging that the clocks couldnt shoot any farther than that.

Target Dummies for bases, like the ones in the Vanguard base, and the old deactivated rikti drones from Outbreak.

These could let us show anyone who wants to see it power animations, oh and as a secondary thought make the dummies actually show attack effects, like the hit animations, or the buff visuals.

"Yesss, finally, let the hunt begin!"

Bladewing closed his eyes for a moment and then his right foot began to tap the floor. It tapped faster, and faster, until the sound of its impacts was almost constant. Then Bladewing's eyes snapped open and he vanished, a trail of dust leading off into the distance and then circling around the DPO entrance in a 1/2 mile circle.

"Well? Release the hound already so I can blaze us a trail, I've already annihilated 50 clockwork while I've been running."

Bladewing glanced around, noting the presence of a few more heroes, and what looked like a few villans.

"So when are we gonna go and pound this guy?, Clockwork, Vhaz, and The Council be damned, I want my page back, as well as the satisfaction of beating someone who totaled States."

ah thanks....now i need to get my new PC together so i can slot in my hard drives, grab my monitor, keyboard, mouse, and begin with the kora farming..and such nonsense.

Agreed, this sort of thing would bring heroside SGs together in a way that has (IMO) never really been possible for some. Even a slightly scattered SG would be ready and raring to go at an opportunity like this.

I kinda agree on both accounts. It SHOULD be easy to get things like that, make it some trivial badge or so on, a mission, make it automatically available but have a decent crafting cost. But on the other end of the spectrum I agree that certain base items should only be made available through an SG TF/SF/Mission, this would encourage SGs working together on a level that at the moment some cannot or do not have a reason to work at.

Bladewing looked at the Sword Sorcerer.

"Ah well in case of that I do have a back up"

Hovering in midair, Bladewing assumed sitting lotus and began to mutter while forming various handsigns. One by one inspirations and powerboosters floated from his storage sack and began merging with his scales, providing easy access when needed. When all his scales were full Bladewing dropped back to the floor, grinning widely.

"Okay so when do we get to go wreck the yutz who stole my Malleus Mundi page?...oh yeah..and he kidnapped the city Rep too."

"YESSSSS, all you can use buffet!"

Bladewing almost dove into the bins, grabbing charm crystals, signets, amulets, rings, and scrolls like popcorn and stuffing them into his dimensional holding sack.

He turned a sheepish glance to the wide eyed heroes, villans, and vanguard members.

"What????? I'm a huge fan of the concept Overkill."

Grinning maniacally, Bladewing dove for the crystals that contained damage potential enhancement spells.

I never had Kora...what did they do? and can you get them anymore?

Bladewing flew up to the closed gates of Boomtown, landing with a small cloud of dust in front of the sign that said "This way to the Vanguard DPO"

Walking inside he went up to the receptionist.

"Who do I talk to about going into boomtown to turn that thief of an "Archvillan" into a pile of hamburger meat?"

suggest and consolidate MORE!!...okay heres a suggestion

Be able to flag a base for tourism, thus opening it to the general public. and grant the sg a token, one time per character, amount of prestige whenever someone not in the sg or coalition enters the base.

Bladewing stood in front of the workbench in his base, glancing between the hovering crystal tv screen on the wall and his hands, which had up until a few seconds ago been holding a page of the Malleus Mundi.

"Great, just when i finally track down a page, for one insignificant magical sentence that someone wrote on it,......SOMEONE STEALS IT!!"

Bladewing sat for a moment, watching the news feed, taking note that the Vanguard was calling for a joint hero and villan task force to take out this supposed Archvillan.

Bladewing ran for the portal chamber, shedding his human guide as he went. His skin shifted to black and scaly, a tail jutted from he base of his spine, his legs changed from human to digitrade, and his head wavered for a moment, and then was revealed in all its draconic glory.

He reached back, to make sure that his katana was still there, then he stepped into the portal, bound for steel canyon, and the temporary Vanguard DPO he had heard about.

thisll be fun..we get to trash boomtown up more than it already is..that and we get to waste literally TONS of trolls, outcasts, clockwork, and council XD

i meant small in the realm of maybe 100 prestige per person...and only once...even the most alt feverish person in the world couldnt farm this fast enough to make a huge difference.

they should maybe make temp powers craftable like say...temp travel powers? or maybe temporary acc/damage/defense/other boosts?

actually i had another idea regarding my tourism flagging idea. Give the sg in question a small, one time, prestige bonus when someone who isnt in the sg visits the base? like charging a nominal fee for an amusement park or something, but it wont cost the visiting characer anything.
