I was part of the Mos Eisley RP group, and then Mos Entha before I finally left the game for Paragon in Sept 04. (If you remember Tokoha's tailor shop... )
-
Nobody seems to have mentioned the inherents so I'll go right ahead...
PB attacks have -DEF, and WS attacks have -spd -recharge
Also the inherent ability is the opposite for each type:
Peacebringers balance the team and get a damage buff for Tankers and Defenders in the team, and a toughness buff for Blasters and Scrappers.
Warshades take on the attributes of their team-mates and have the reverse of PBs. They get toughness from more Tankers and Defenders, and a damage buff for Blasters and Scrappers. -
Maybe they wanted you to get your base up and running, so you wouldn't just dispand the group and remake it with the same name...
But yes... naughty name.

The New Heroes Union is a friendly light RP supergroup. Some members like to stay in-character all the time, others just roleplay on missions, or when the mood takes them. We have regular RP meetings, and active forum RP plots going on and are always looking for good new members.
If anyone's interested send me a PM, or contact me in game! -

nother thing i find weird about the hive... there arent any devoured walking around. Only the grass type, crystal type, rock type and fungi type DE.
[/ QUOTE ]
There are no devoured GMs, only ones based on the transformation of inanimate earth and fauna (trees, fungus, rocks, crystals). Devoured are the one DE that were originally human, and so are at the most Boss level.

Bout the 9 doors, we only FOUND 9 thusfar, might be more. Also those doors dont give a blue hand icon when hovering over them, and also they arent attackable (tried tab-targetting and casting pets, none affect the door). However I dont think they put those doors there just for scenery.
[/ QUOTE ] All possible. Though they could be just from pre-fabricated scenery sections and have no purpose.

Also, those 3 forests jiaozy discovered.. it doesn't look like much, or does it? The monsters guarding it seem pretty hell bent on not leaving it unguarded. Also inside the clearing there is always 1 tree left out, not targettable though. Then there is a very small wood without a clearing what i dont know the function off.
However, if hami really devours the complete earth, why are those trees still alive?
[/ QUOTE ]
We cleared out a complete forest area to no avail. No further clues were found. -
Ok... Having been scoping out the blob, it's brought back a little of that biology A-level I did many years ago...
Blastiques "Heroes are a virus" musings
I have a feeling that taking down the hamidon will be similar to how a virus destroys a cell in real biology. Looking at the build of the blob there are some interesting notes:
Mending Mitochrondria (x8) Green - "repair units for the cell". Unknown how these actually repair, regeneration of hamidon? Spawning of repair mitochrondria?
Antibodies (x17) Yellow - "Defense for the cell" Antibodies attack foriegn substances.
Electrolytes (x8) Blue - "Defense for the cell" Unknown in purpose, but actual biology states that they provide the energy a cell needs to move, divide, produce secretory products, contract - in short, they are the power centers of the cell. (mez defense?). They also attack though in the hami blob
Nucleaus - Contains the DNA for the cell. (ie. Hamo-O!) Kill this and the cell dies!
Now, while dropping 100 tonnes of penicillin on the thing might actually work, we don't have any so us heroes have to take that role! I'm a Hamidon virgin though, so in practice I haven't seen how these things go. However, the rumour that it can be done with 30 heroes seems a logical one...
Can the Antibodies/Electrolytes be held while each mending mitochrondria is destroyed? then moving on to the electolytes next?
Anyway, just thoughts for the moment... -
Indeed the Hamidon is the gravest threat to our existence on this planet. Devouring the earth and every living human with it - villains too! (although I thought the blob fell from space...)
I'll volunteer for any scout groups. I've been playing this game for almost a year and a half and have still to take on the mighty amoeba! All this talk of alternate strategy and dark secrets of the hive has got me hooked!
(Edit: plus... using a 'brute force' method pioneered by the americans just isn't on. We need an SAS equivalent!) -
Blastique - Lvl 48 Blaster. Unfortunately I work till 8pm on a monday so won't be online till 9 at the very earliest. If you start later I'll join you, if not then good luck!

I keep thinking that the RP supergroups in heroes/villains should start joining up in coalitions- might make for more active and fun RP throughout the cities rather than just one spot!
-
So, where are all the RPers congregating these days? Mercy Island (on the Darwin Dot) was a suggested spot, though its a bit out of the way to the residents of Port Oakes. Thoughts?
