...so where might we eventually find the offline costume editor? The ability to load my costumes would reduce my screenshotting needs like I can't even explain.
Plus, to be frank, it would be ossim. Especially if we could update outfits (since it's offline) to allow, oh, *full-length* dresses! ^-^
If there's some url/thread to watch regarding that, or if you need folks to help test it, I'd love to know!

I think there's a difference between Going Rogue and Going Rogue: Complete Collection. If you're determined, you can likely use a Complete code to bump to VIP again if you have only the non-Complete. I doubt the other way around will work; regular-to-Complete /should/ work because you get extra items, costume options and a temp power (that stealth thing...Shadowy Presence?).

I *did* apply a "City of Heroes: Going Rogue Complete Collection" code to my 'premium' second account as of Sept 2 (yesterday, as of this writing) and it did switch to VIP. I'll hope this helps folks a bit maybe, but it looks like content expansions still functioned as of yesterday for bumping to VIP.

If you haven't joined the "BaseBuildersInc." chat channel in the game, can you please do so, as this is were many of us "hang out" nightly to arrange tours of each other's bases.
Anytime you are on, please post a shout-out in the channel if you are offering a tour, requesting one, or are wanting to join a tour group in progress.
Also, if anyone knows of any other channels popular with Basers where tours are often arranged, please let us know the names of those channels here. Many of us hope this contest can help bring the Baser community closer together to share tips, ideas, and tours.

I know we're always glad to give pointers, tend to offer to show people around if they need inspiration in a design-style we build with, and even simply provide comfort/commiseration when you're suffering from Desk Poisoning!
In-game (and from any server since it's global) just type "/chan_join BaseBuildersInc." and notice the dot at the end! Or, well, copy and paste everything between the quotes!
That said, I now have my most-fearsome task...I have a Photobucket account; how do I link my base pics here?!

Happened here as well; unknown command tut_invite, and the same for /li playername. Any word on the right way to invite to in-progress events, or if this is a bug?

I don't know if my wide-hallway layouts would be good or bad if raiding returns; defense Gauntlet rooms do allow for a decent concentration of firepower I'd think, but I'd really need to see how the weapons /really/ behave in action to tell. I'd think a small battery of turrets and a force field or two would be a nightmare to crack...but only if they can fire a decent distance. Who knows.
In the mean time, I won't worry about /that/ particular snowflake-in-a-frying-pan question of if base-raiding may return. I /surely/ won't design inconvenient bases around that question!
My bases have Medical right by the teleporter area, and reasonably near the entrance. Nearer the entrance is the crafting area (Vault, worktable, etc) and the storage bins for enhancements, inspirations and salvage. Across the base are the main RP areas, and between the 'utility areas' and the 'main RP areas' are the secondary and/or decorative areas. Secondary areas are stuff that's fun to pass by, useful to see, but not critical to any aspects of the base. Farthest off are 'Detail Areas', like science or magic labs, fancy energy areas and things like that.
The hardest part is to do that and still let the base 'flow' and blend properly/smoothly between the areas. -

You do want to build for +Defense, yes, but it's critical to go for +Recharge, too. You want Overload up early and often. You want to live in Overload if you possibly can.
In fact, it'd be nice if they'd nerf Overload and distribute some of it over the rest of the set to bring it up to par. Make Overload about as powerful as Willpoower's tier-9 defense, complete with recharge immunity, and take a portion of the +HPs, DDR and +Defense and sprinkle it throughout the rest of the set.
Yeah, if I were Black Scorpion that's what I'd do.
Kinetic/EA is pretty and pretty.
That said, my FM/EnA brute doesn't have a real problem with Arachnos. It's just the 'shotgun' class BB Gun of Doom. At worst, nom a purple, hop in, chop the Tarantula Mistress into tiny, scorched bits, Energy Drain for whatever dents she inflicted, and...all done. Mop up the rest of the spawn as usual.
Also, my EnA has gotten majorly more rugged after slotting (of all unloved things) a Nerve Partial Radial Revamp. Her defenses are as high as 50.7% (no suppressed part to that), and even Psi is 25% from some Scirocco's sets and Impervium Armor, and 15% Resist from Impervium Armor.
Having a few percent worth of 'reserve' defense before I lose softcap has made it far, far harder for BB's of Doom to collapse my defenses...though Longbow still manages it from time to time!
My FM/EnA solos quite happily against +3/x8/+Boss mobs of Rikti, Freaks, Longbow (with occasional "Eeee, eeee, my Lethal defense is negative! Run, run!" events, but a 28% resist to S/L lets me /do/ that)), 5th Column, Malta...the only ones I don't like, the 'problem children' for my set was the Carnival with their Dark and Psi-heavy damage, though I can still run it, just at +1/x5/+Boss...oh darn. I'm only soloing 62.5% of what a FULL GROUP OF 8 gets issued, all by myself, of my most-hated enemy group...
Well, actually for 'Most Hated' there's Rularuu eyes and the Devouring Earth Quartzes with their massive ToHit buffs, and of course Nemesis Vengeance. I need to try myself against Rularuu, but DE and Nemesis can be handled with a bit of tactics.
Stupid-easymode? "Toggle Healing Flames and walk away to get a snack"-easy? Nope, but it's a very capable set with a bit of work, and /amazing/ (I think, YMMV and all) with some set-work and softcapping.
...oh yeah, and it REALLY is amazingly pretty! -

Thank you for your kind assistance as well, and I'm sorry for the delay in responding. One of my officers suffered a loss in the family, and things have been a bit hectic.
With my initial $200m, Fulmens', TaxE's and now your fund-matching, my group went from some $3.7 million in total Prestige value to $5,288,554 as of this writing.
Thank you to everyone who chipped in to match my (and each others!) funds; it's all appreciated! I can finally get a bit more serious with building the place up...a /wonderful/ change from the 155k or so Prestige I had available before we began!
