Remember, for Rikti raids, the areas with a high concentration of players get the most troops beaming in. In any given zone, the highest concentration of players (that is not inside a Wentworth's) tends to be the trainers.
When the invasions first started, the biggest fights were always at the trainer because that's where most people were anyways. More troops = a better chance for heavies, so people wanted bigger fights. In Atlas, this is more noticeable because of all the people socializing right by Lady Liberty.
I remember the very first invasion of that issue happened on the steps of the admin building, on Guardian at least. But it moved to its usual spot within a day.
People got used to using the trainers as convergence points during the Rikti raids, and when the zombie invasions started everyone just clustered at the usual spots.
It's just social inertia, try to not worry about it. -
Two of them, both related to Shadow Cysts.
1) The team I was on got wiped by a Shadow Cyst spawning in a bad spot. We were regrouping down the hall, getting ready to attack again. I meant to type something in the chat box, but forgot to actually *select* the box first, typing while looking at the keyboard, not at the screen. So, I type in an "r" and my toon goes barreling into the Shadow Cyst again, aggroing the room and managing to wipe the party for the second time in ten minutes.
2) Just a couple of days later, with the first noob incident fresh in my mind, I mention to my teammates what bad news those cysts are and that I hope we won't run into any. I mention that it could be a problem, since we have two Khelds on the team. The team says what? no, no Khelds on the team, what are you talking about? Turns out I was mistaking Defender AT icons for the Peacebringer icons in the team window. -
I know this is subjective and, thus, not worth much, but I did want to mention it.
I fired up a toon that hadn't been used since I16 came out, and she had two old missions.
One was from Gaussian's Red & Black arc, and I think the other was from On the Run.
I set her to +1/x3 to finish the arcs quickly.
On the Gaussian mission, I was surprised to see lots of recipes dropping. By now, I was sorta used to the diminished drops on several other toons, so the multiple recipe drops were very noticeable. It felt like what I would have expected from x3, definitely better than old-style solo drops.
I don't really remember drops from the On the Run mish I finished up. I did it before the Gaussian mish, and didn't notice anything unusual.
To the point, is there any chance that an 'old' mish, acquired before I16 could somehow have different properties? It doesn't sound likely to me, but thought I'd mention it.
Maybe I got a mish on that 'high end' of the wonky drop rates that was mentioned. -
Yeah, I watched it go to hell again this morning.
It's worse than ever (Infinity, Atlanta area).
How do I get the UI to show up in a screenshot? -
Right this moment, for the first time in weeks that I've seen, netgraph is all green.
No red or yellow spikes anywhere.
I hope they got this fixed for good.
Atlanta area, Comcast, Infinity server. -
I had this exact same problem about 2 weeks ago. The only way to get out of the selection window was to opt out of the reward entirely.
I contacted support, and support said that Sands of Mu had been claimed on the character in question.
I logged in and checked, and there it was.
I don't know if relogging fixed it, or if this was just PEBKAC all the way, but try relogging on the toon and see if that helps.
