Thats right folks you heard right! EERC is proud to announce that on defiant tonight at 8pm GMT there will be a costume contest with a prize pool of 1 BILLION influence!
There will be sub categories for the competition, however the main theme for the biggest prize will go to the player with the best costume that has a "spring" theme to it. Make sure you turn up tonight to stand a chance of winning some big influence
So thats pocket D tonight at 8pm GMT! Hope to see you all there! -
Clanket lol
Is it bad i have a snugglewrap already in person?
One or two are good but there some there which to be fair are VERY VERY VERY good quality work! Well done to all! -
Personally the only way i'ld really like to search for a malta arc is if their group got an upgrade of sorts and less sappers/engineers in them. They are a fun group to face however the sappers/engineers just spoil the experience for myself personally. That aside . . . . .
I'ld love an actual story envolving an enemy group in which it actually explains how/why certain giant monsters exist. Synapse tf and the Kronos GM do this well by tying them into arcs [the one arc has the kronos in an actual mission] and i think it'ld be more fun to have more cases of that.
Avs are fun and all that, but nothing says "final fight" like a giant monster [pref on a mayhem style map] -
I'll make sure to be on at 8:30 tonight.
-
All my level 20/30 alts can finally get a good few levels with them all
Finally got my emp from level 34 to 37Took me 14 months but it was worth it
-
I'll be there for both . . . do they have a bar?

Quote:You are not the only one. I understand that there are more problems with opening up the Shard, but I would like to think they could be managed in an easy manner.
Of course, I think the real problem is, they don't like the situation the shard is in either, and opening up the Shard to both sides will just draw more attention to it. A content revamp there is really necessary for it to progress. But, well, that's an expensive endeavor that isn't as likely to have the same fun return as the RCS revamp.
Although, re-enabling Rularuu invasions would be fun.
Oh you have to be kiddingEven just street sweeping the mobs in the shadow shard is awesome, i personally LOVE the different types of enemies they have and i cannot wait until they are used more often.
I'll even go as far to say that a large majority of players have never/not much experience fighting them. If a shadow shard revamp did happen ala RCS/Fault, then i could see it being one of the best zones potentially in the game.
Edit: Does need a zone event too -
Why do i have that feeling that i20 wont be until at least April now?
-
Sonof-damz , a martial arts scrapper who uses the torn bottoms/robes option with the feather cape.
Yes i love the torn look, it makes a character look more "street worthy" in my opinion. -
Quote:I generally view/post at most times, however i'ld say the most active time period i am in is 6pmGMT - 11pm GMT
What time of day do you find yourself positing/reading the forums the most?
Quote:What's more important to you? Having someone able to engage you and watch the forums during what would be considered "peak" posting hours or having someone who may be several hours behind, but has greater access to the development team?
On the flip side, having somebody with greater access to the development team is a huge bonus to have but i cant really think of an example where a community rep was able to pass down information directly from a dev to the players. The only issue i feel with this being needed is translation issues.
I think you will find however that the EU playerbase seem to have a bigger bond with Avatea out of all the red names because she is/was "one of us" and still very much feels the voice of the EU.
Next question please
Quote:When we had Bridger, All his posting would be done by the time we are starting to pick up. Having a community rep to be around for us 9am to 5pm would probably increase your costs, and I dont think anybody wants someone to have to work unsociable hours just to post for us... -
Quote:The best solution would be to revamp the old dross thats-
*slaps self in forehead*
Of course! Silly me! Everyone knows that moar new shinies are better than going back and fixing old broken stuff! What a klutz I am!
Oh, yeah, wait...
I so want a revamp of steel canyon and skyway cityJust some proper arcs that illustrate those areas. They seem to be one of the few zones in the game without any real story behind them.

Lets be honest here for a second . . . . . .
Blue side 1 - 20 = easy mode
Red side 1 - 20 = easy - medium mode
Gold side 1 - 20 = challenge mode
Now if we are purely looking at ambushes then we have to ask the question of at what level do ambushes become "ok" for them to be in the game?
Low level [while i do find them VERY fun i can understand why people dont] is possibly the worst place to have them due to a lack of powers.
High level is again possibly the worst place to have them due to the gap of difference between every single AT, in that it'ld be impossible to create an ambush that at least 50% of ATs would be able to handle in order to make it difficult.
This leaves us with the mid level, the 20 - 35 range where players are just starting to flesh out in their powers. Now currently there arent that many ambush missions in this range [red caps missions and the titan class EB ambush aside] so would people agree that this is the best place to have the Praetoria level of ambushes? Or would you have them removed from the game entirely?
Quote:Im the opposite view completely, I would much rather fight a Resistance boss than a Skulls boss low level purely due to the -tohit and +dmg self buffs they do. I've wiped so many times against a skulls boss that if i see one while flying through kings row, i have to take it out purely as payback. The Resistance in general have that curious energy attack that they seem able to pull off with no more tech than a fingerless leather glove. Without that, or with Brawl instead of that, the Resistance would be far less deadly. They'd still be more dangerous than, say, the Skulls, considering Skull Minions have one irrelevant ranged attack and one melee attack while the Resistance still have at least two ranged attacks, but they wouldn't be as far out of line. similarly, I've seen PPD Somethings who displayed at least three different melee attacks, at a level when Hellions have all of one.
It's as if we're fighting Vahzilok all the time, only without the courtesy of poor perception radius and vulnerability to lethal damage.
Sam, serious question. At what level in Praetoria do you feel like you are starting to become one of the top dogs in Praetoria? I know that at first every single enemy has a high chance of defeating any AT, but at what level do you feel like you are now superpowered and it is them that should fear you? -
I have a feeling you wouldnt like the "defend the TPN" mission now
Personally the size of the ambushes, while VERY VERY hard, give a sense of realism. After all this is praetoria which is under strict military lockdown, so of course any "threat" is going to be dealt with the full force of the force.
After an ambush i always seem to picture my character standing on top of the bodies with the "is that the best you got?" look on his face . . . . -
Quote:I suddenly feel an urge to count how many missions i can run without dying now
(Also, I don't care how strongly you build: no solo build can *completely* ignore *all* the threats in random tip missions. Hand-picked opponents, yes. But I don't think the solo build exists that can *completely* ignore the threats from sappers, quartz eminators, stacked vengeance, master illusionists, DRMs, arachnos assassin's strikes, and the fruit cocktail of powers from Longbow bosses equally well. *Something* will eventually get you, even if you are the world's best stone tank. Maybe only once in a hundred missions, but they will get you.) -
Will the next sneak peak be for the other trial?
If so can you do it from saturday because i am unable to play until then, if you do i'll send you all some gold whispa bars! [Av must know what they are
]
-
Going to have somebody stay at mine for the week and they wont be leaving until saturday
Going to see if i can sneak a quick half hour on here though or summin
Hopefully each EU one
-
It can be annoying yes when trying to fill out a team because you dont know how long you have to wait before requesting for somebody else incase you over fill
I know i sometimes cant reply to tells though because on some alts i have a specific set up of my tabs due to the sheer amount of channels i have up at a time. Some characters have the PMs in a seperate tab on the chat box and i tend to rely on the sound before i look on the tab [while checkign after each mission] so thats my excuse -
Quote:Many thanks for all who could and did turn out - we had a good couple of runs at the trial, and we almost had it
Not bad for a PuG!
First run was great i thought in that we really didnt know what to expect and the map really.
Really looking forward to running this on a regular basis once this goes live, it really is a true test!
I dont think we even had a tank but only one brute? For attempting a raid you have to admit that is pretty daring. -
Quote:The Turnstile only exists right now to put together the new Incarnate Trials. That's it. That's all it does and will do for I20. It may perhaps be leveraged in the future for other stuff.
The new ITrials are for multiple teams, so, when you go through the Turnstile as individuals or as separate teams, once you get into the ITrial, you will be lumped into a League.
A League is a new Multi-Team window that puts all the teams together into one window. The Leader of the League can move people around to reform and balance the teams or to give them separate tasks within the ITrial.
OR... you can form a League outside an ITrial. You can then have the Leader of the League enter the Turnstile and take the whole League with them.
OR... you can form a League and do something else that doesn't involve the Turnstile at all. You can do a Hami Raid, a Cathedral of Pain Trial, a Zone Event (invasions, banners, winter's realm, Giant Monster hunts, multi-team PvP battles, etc...).
Never really thought of the league system in that way . . . . . would be great for competitions! -
It unlocks the judgement slot . . . . . . . what? i could be right!
-
Wow 10 seconds?
This will defo have to be tested and co-ordinated well
The CoP first stage can take ages depending on co-ordination as it is
Thanks for the info though! Love reading information like this
