    Oh please!!! Animations which could be used are already ingame! Could have a sand storm (tornado), sand blast (cone -acc), sand pet (like mr poo?), alternative to quicksand (in that instead of slow it immobs?), a toggle PBAoE power that does slow/-acc to all foes nearby (like artic air?)

    Very good news how many arena maps are there btw?

    Only ones i can think of are

    1) A skyway zone
    2) Perez park
    3) Monkey cage
    4) Crey lab
    5) Office

    Thats all iv ever been in . . . . hope theres more or more getting added at least.

    THIS!!!! My most favourite pvp battles have been when every1s been using fly/hover.
    Close combat flying pvp battles are some of the funniest battles you could have imo, even with the supression i can still have good close combat flying matches with my friends. Kinda cant with randoms in zones since most pvpers take ss/sj, maybe hover/tp might be a usefull pvp technique now.

    the only "decent" enemy around is the family and counsel, who do not fight any of the four factions but just try to keep the heroes out if this battle.(sorta the guards of this team arena)

    maybe have this as an event when we don't have the rikti event active.

  9. So if i understand it right my illusion/rad with its debuffs on you (with procs) can supress your movement everytime the proc ticks while i TP around freely? (read by castle i think that tp is a get out of jail free card).

    Actually like these new changes, understand why a lot of pvpers are annoyed at *mainly* travel supression and set bonuses but if it makes pvp need more strategies apart from

    *Heal me!
    *Buff the blaster!
    *pocket emps (finally no more xD)
    *TP foe stalkers

    than i'll be more than happy to spend a lot more time in sirens/RV. Shivans/nuke to be eventually available via merits is finally a good idea too though i dont think iv ever been troubled by a pvper in BB

    TP it seems has become the must have power though.

  12. You know i was actually thinking of something like this not so long ago (for mission creator) but it got me thinking . . . . .

    Youv got the hellions which (apart from 1 or 2) are the weakest villains by far and wouldnt pose much trouble to any half decent villain group.
    The skulls who just like the hellions are very very easy to overcome but those two are too busy fighting eachother over perez park (which no other villain organisation thinks is a worthwhile base of operations) to sustain a respectable challenge.
    Then youv got the outcasts and the trolls. Just like the skulls/hellions they are mortal enemies of eachother and would like nothing better than to get one over on the other.

    Now in the early kheldian story arc you see the council employ the services of the trolls to help stop you. This lets us know that though they are mindless drugged up people, they are willing to sell their services if the price is right (to buy more superadine *sp?* i presume) to the right organisation.

    Now here is my theory for a good low level arc . . . . .

    The skulls are gathering their forces to try and finally push all resistance out of perez park but cannot do this alone. We all know they have access to the superadine *sp again?* machines (due to that one mission) and thus could be using that equipment as a bargaining tool to entice the trolls to join them in making perez park theirs.
    Now the plan is to have numerous enemy factions in one mission (hydra, CoT, hellions, vahz, clockwork) getting beaten by the skulls/trolls team in which you must try and contain the fight before it spills out into the streets.
    After that you find out that most of the villain groups have been pushed out of perez leaving just the hellions. Left with no option they breakfree frostfire from the zig and thus getting his and the outcasts help to fight the trolls/skulls team.
    Now the next mission would be something like trying to prevent the breakout of the zig by defeating all enemies in there, however you learn you are too late and he has already escaped and joined the hellions.
    Now the next 1/2 missions would be just to put a halt to some fights that have already started between the two new teams of hellions/outcasts v trolls/skulls.
    Leading up to the final mission where you must fight your way through and defeat the four leaders of the groups.

    Well thats my idea for how it could happen anyway, have a little story to it

    suppose they could add a lot more exploration badges into the game but that'll take next to no time to obtain, think what your after is more zone mini events? If not the only positive thing i can think of to come from constant exploring is well for roleplay purposes or snazzy screenshots.

    Only farm if you want to min/max your build Your characters throughout their career should have way more than enough to set your character up either with generic IOs or SOs. Most people who farm are doing so to either max out their pvp toons or to set their new toons up fully enhanced from the getgo.

    Works like a small inheritence (oh however you spell it, cba ) really doesnt it.

    Have you run into/through a mob with (as an example) kinetics repel on? All (if not most) get scattered in random directions. Obviously you wouldnt superspeed through a mob because then theres no tohit check.
    Yes i know only a small fraction of mobs are affected but how is that any different from the version we have now (in beta )? Just like so many other powers ingame it becomes situational . . . . .

    Like what i said above, when a repel "tick" is succesful it adds the damage to it, if the mobs repel resis is higher than the tick then say half the damage
    Oh and yes tick off people with AoEs . . . . . . . because everybody knows that future powers cant be any different and HAVE to compliment powers that can kill groups quickly.
    *cough* Get a controller to lockdown the mobs then you can not have your repel spoiling AoE toons *cough*, sorry but that is what controllers are there for right?

    Given the popularity of these powers, a charge power with a similar effect would be a recipe for a powerset hated by everyone.

    WEll yeah i know its called knockback and with my post i meant why not give the repel/knockback have damage attached to it for a few seconds? Since the aura would only be a few seconds long anyway (just like the current charge) and damage from the knockback quite high wouldnt it fit the concept of charging through enemies better if they were repelled AWAY from the shield rather than under it (knockDOWN )?
    Cant see why that would make the power useless since its just a form of high burst damage WITH damage mitigation.

    Just because a set is for melee toons it doesnt mean it cant have any sort of repel/knockdown/knockback/knockup/knockside, after all soaring dragon when hit doesnt let u attack the enemy for a split second while the enemy is in the air does it . . . . . .

    Could just have it so that charge gives you a huge damage aura for a few seconds with a mag 2/4 repel? Would solve the issues and also let the player "control the charge" if it only boosted base speed?

    Just read on the US boards that if castle cant sort out the damage problem of of the shield charge attack it might get changed hope not, thats the one power thats sold the set to me.

    Wonder how high the heal will be on this? Can see this being a must have power for masterminds surrounded by their pets.
    Overall looks rather interesting, the recharge buff should be very usefull too.

  24. I regularly do the marauder mission as an AV via flashback mission on my main. Duo it now and then too but then it becomes almost too easy. (not big headed but when the AVs attention is on your decoys/phant, the two of you havent a lot to worry about apart from which attack to hit)
    The monsters on monster island are quite easy to solo too since their dmg isnt really that high and truth be told any player hoping to solo them should have some form of fast recharge heal/regen.

    My goal is to solo the final mission of mender silos tf with them all spawning as AVs, i think the only ones that could pose a serious problem would be ghost widow and the jade spider. Everyone else would just need a few CABs imo.
  25. Two parts to this, sent ingame petition and just awaiting reply but does anybody else have any hints?

    1) Logged in the other day and defiant was top server choice (this means last server used correct?), didnt think nothing of it - thought it couldv been just a glitch like - anyway i pop into defiant to see how long my alts there have been offline (im a union player and havent been onto defiant in over a year) and there was TWO new characters there that i did NOT make
    Now im not sure if my account got hacked or something because iv never given my account name/password out to anyone and im 100% certain i didnt create them. My password hasnt changed and none of my defiant alts got logged in by this mystery either (so theyr still all 467 waever days offline), just these two . . . . new alts Costumes look like a random generator did them too, could this be a VERY rare wierd bug or someone messing around? *iv since changed my accound password btw*

    2) Just re-activated my account this evening (forgot to put on auto billing) and had the email saying "thank you now play", but then just got another e-mail saying "your account has been expired due to payment failure" . . . . . .
    No it hasnt because it just accepted it and im even posting on the forums and playing the game!!! Whats going on with my poor account
