You sought "how worked up and spiteful people can get" with some long winded bait. You got it. Mission accomplished. Deal with it.
-
Quote:Why is people still posting? OP has already been exposed as seen in the quote above. It's also fun to post some blatant over-the-top braggy comments and see how worked up and spiteful people get about it.
Quote:I haven't intentionally ignored anyone. I also haven't personally insulted anyone. Some of their ideas? Sure. Absolutely. Personal insults? Nope. Disagreeing with someone's ideas is not the same as a personal attack. Once again, if anyone has been subjected to personal attacks here, it's been me.
Just waiting for Cag to hexpose OP again, before this thread is done. -
Quote:I get what you're saying. I built my /mm with farming in mind is why I went s/lhaving only 2 damage types softcapped and 3% off of one position is, albeit decent for a good chunk of the content in this game, you'll be ripped apart by more exotic dmg types while having to use twice the inspiration use to get you softcapped to only 1 other type and 1 position. 32.5 to all positions is capable on many builds and is more inspiration efficient to hit the softcap to all incoming damage outside of those annoying psionic specific attacks that don't have a ranged component.
-
Quote:Dz, if you seriously aren't aware of the benefits of building 32.5% defense to all positions, layered with good resistance to the three most common types, you do not deserve to be having this conversation.
I build all mine softcap to s/l with as much nrg as possible and epic armor. But by that build logic I guess I'm nearly capped as well with 3% off from melee cap and only 1.5 purple away from nrg and ranged cap -
-
lolwat? 1 purple away is considered almost capped? Last I checked that was what people consider 12% from capped. Now I'm even doubting his GM soloing with no insps claim, unless it's soloing GMs with no ranged attacks.
-
Quote:I don't get it, how is it almost capped at all? Are you counting Afterburner?Speaking of things I noticed when creating the build above, THB, I must say I was weirded out to discover that just to finish sort-of-but-not-really capping Melee defense, you bypassed the Chance to Hold proc in your immobilize.
PS if we were really talking abut power gaming, we need to allow EBs too. Untie my hands. -
Is this the point where the OP tries to play it off like he was trolling the whole time because he just got TOLD by everyone in the forums?
-
Oh yeah, what was your dps on pylons again? 250 with -regen counted? lol
And also anything with -regen can solo a GM. You can probably 6slot brawl and solo a GM with a DOM. The fact you think a /PSI dom can't solo a GM is hilarious. -
Quote:Yeah just like you back up your accomplishments. 1-50 2 hrs? Ok brahHaha, nice excuses. I see that you are very good at talking, but are unwilling to back up your talk. This to me is not a very good trait. You claim to be my superior and yet when you are asked to prove it, you offer nothing but excuses. I would not be surprised if this super Dominator of yours did not actually even exist.

I kicked a hellion off a building and he got ran over by a car

Quote:Jelly of you? Someone that has to constantly make bragging threads masquerading as " GENERAL BLASTER THREADS" or "GENERAL BUILD THREADS" to boost his own self esteem? Please. My first Blaster was a DP/MM after Gunmage. farmed me up, that can do all of the above easily and shelved in about a month. Not to mention a /dark, /time MM mixed and matched with bots, thugs or demons also does the same thing with less investment.Drain Psyche is a great power, yes. It aids me wonderfully in my accomplishments. I like it quite a bit. Implying "tl;dr drain psyche" is not accurate, though! You can't do any of the above without good defense and resistance- The +regen is great, but it's not enough on its own to warrant high end enemy group soloing.
Even with that layered survivability, you can't expect it to last indefinitely. Eventually, if you just stand still, you WILL die. You need to be able to dispatch enemies quickly.
When it comes to power leveling and farming, the focus is killing things swiftly. Sure, Drain Psyche's self +regen aids in that, but the primary goal is to do as much damage as possible as quickly as possible.
The same goes for AV fights- You need to build the appropriate survivability and have well slotted single target attacks in order to dispatch your enemy swiftly.
Taking alpha strikes on Incarnate leagues? My Blaster has soloed entire bunkers on Keyes, gotten all the temps, charged terminals, gone back and done it again. This isn't just a "Drain Psyche is OP" case.
I think that there are other combos of sets and AT's that can achieve the same level of self sufficiency and greatness that I have on my Blaster. I regret that I've been forced to defend myself in this post, but please try to remember, casual reader, that the ignorance of one poster being corrected does not mean that I created this thread to brag!
Edit: To elaborate. The last poster is clearly intent on summarizing my accomplishments in single words, thus undermining them. You would think that this poster must have a GREAT character that is truly a gem in our game, that can accomplish all of these same things without any of the powers I used! Either he has found some unheard of, amazing way to beat the heck out of this game, or he is just bitter and jealous because his own accomplishments on HIS characters do not stand up to my own. I'll let you decide.
Funny how one skill carries are entire build, yet you seem to like to constantly remind everyone that you're the one that discovered the holy grail, even when you didn't.
edit: okay kind of late, I was busy sunday and couldn't reply, I'll probably leave it as it is -
I rolled a Dark/EM tank just for fun. The damage is horrid and I've yet to see any survivability increase, but I'm only lv 11. I think this is going to end up like what I thought it was, basically I'll give up alot of damage for a overkill amount of survivability. I'm going have to see what happens with I get incarnates.
Edit : I would have rolled fire armor except I already have a SS/fire broot and like 5 different shield toons -
Quote:I don't have to imply anything.I wasn't talking about that thread. Someone started a parody thread about people asking for 54x8 soloing, farming, GM slayers as if it was impossible. Way to imply that I'm a narcissist while assuming I was talking about you though.
Quote:-Solo Giant Monsters. No temp powers or outside +dmg boosts, including Inspirations. And no Lore/Patron pets.
Quote:-Solo 2 level 54 AV's at a time with the same restrictions as the above-mentioned.
Quote:-Solo Task Forces, including Master of ITF.
Quote:-Farm as fast or faster than any other high end farming build. Power-level farming included, 1-50 in around the 2 hour mark.
Quote:-Solo enemy groups such as Carnies and Malta on 54x8.
Quote:-Mass-control entire 54x8 spawns, providing mitigation for teammates.
Quote:-Take and absorb alpha strikes single-handedly, providing a cushion for teammates.
Quote:-Permanently debuff hard single targets, making it easier for everyone in your party to accomplish a goal.
tl;dr
Drain Psyche is OP just like everyone was saying in that other thread. But everyone already knows that. -
Quote:No I asked for a build that can solo 54x8 in DA and I got my answers. But keep plugging your Arch/MM like someone else who keep remaking threads about that specific combo, I don't remember who. Also:Really really. I don't remember who it was, but someone started a thread a couple of months ago mentioning all of these feats, or similar feats, in a parody-sense, implying that people ask for builds like this but that their requests were all unreasonable and impossible, so that made the OP amused.
The punchline is that goals for a single character with a single build that many people seem to find "impossible" are actually very possible. I'm here to prove that, and inspire others to do the same.
I think the community is sort of lazy and uninspired in a lot of ways, so for me this thread serves as a motivator. I mean, c'mon, you guys can do it. Play in perma-god mode. I'm sure that I'm not the only person who's figured this out, and I'd like to see others step forward with their epic feats.
This should serve as a rallying point. You CAN do everything with a single character. You don't have to live your in-game life in a role of mediocrity, just because someone on the forums told you that your goals were unreasonable! You can do it!

The only AT i haven't taken to 50 is Tanks. I'm wondering now in the world of IOs, everyone being softcap, incarnate powers flying left right and center. Is it worth leveling and IOing out a tank? Or am I just going to end up with less damage brute with somewhat redundant survivability?
-
Yeah I guess. Bot/trap is overrated especially in incarnate content. A good secondary with reliable -tohit and any amount of heals makes life much easier especially for bots that can't slot the other pet procs.
-
Quote:Uhh that only happens if you stay in BGmode and afk your way through a mission. If you have proper macros you can control your pets much better. I macro my assault bot attack to my taunt and it works alot better while the rest stay in BG and keep me safe.See, the thing is I LOVE my Emp/Psi defender. With her, I can turn the entire team into walking, stompy death machines that nearly never die. I can make blasters fire nukes and then keep on trucking, because Adrenaline Boost negates the Nukes -rec. I can make Scrappers and Stalkers as tough as a Tank. I can stop squishies getting mezzed.
My MM doesn't feel that good. If anything, I feel like a damn liability, because my Primary set is only doing what it's meant to be doing 50% of the time, if that. I don't have *any* control over where and when my Assault Bot uses his missiles, or when my Protectors use their seeker drones and healing ray. For a set that is all about 'control'...MM's still actually have very little. Even less than they are meant to, given the state of pet A.I. Which annoys the bolts out of me... -
because their AI is bugged in trials and also they're totally gimped in half of them. (Lam, TPN, Keyes etc)
-
These invasions are terrible. You never feel threatened since it always scales to your level and number of players. An actual invasion would be hundreds of Nemesis all over all the zones where NO ONE is safe. Or have Nemesis randomly appear in your other indoor missions to ambush you.

brusier is amazing but no he does not have a taunt aura. He does footstomp and uppercut ppl for 500 though
