Thanks LJ. I only put it in here because I was thinking it was Jam associated. I may wait a few days to see if there are more people willing to get in on the Jam. It wouldn't be fair if I took more than 1 character and someone wanted the 2nd character I picked.

BTW, I knew there were alot of X-Men out there, just didn't know there was over 30 of them!

I agree with everything said so far. one look at my characters show that I tend to go with complimentary colors. I also like variants and a time or two I have used color schemes that are associated with football teams for inspiration. Dursabot XI was done in Steelers colors and I did do a line of robots in NFC colors. (Not so easy in AFC because of all the red, white and blue)

I've kinda learned to go with the flow and let my eyes tell me what works and doesn't. Like for a classy look, I did a dress that was pale red. then for a funky babe type, I did a purple color. Color can give an emotional feel to a character. A dark grey skinned elf gives the feel of evil, dark, and forboding while a brown skinned elf gives off the feeling of centered, controlled, peacefulness. Whites and blues are associated with cold while reds, oranges and yellows give off the feel of hot. I think the only colors I haven't used are the sickly greens and pinks.

As a side note, I have seen others add purple to their Ice characters and I HAVE to agree that adding purple can add a whole new flavor to ice characters.

Actually, people can be very kind here. A person can come here and even if they have acted in a boorish manner, eventually they'll be allowed to stay as long as they behave and learn from their mistakes.

I like this and the concepts. of my characters their backgrounds are mixed as well. if I had to define them according to the list I'd have to say that my main is a merchant, and her other siblings are, Student for the Military strategy buff, Merchant for the hot and sexy super model, and lone wolf for the discarded robot. but my one character I have doesn't fit in any of those catagories. He's more the jokester type. He's willing to run at superspeed into the side of a building to prove that he can bounce off a certain distance.

Maybe another set could help. Call it comic relief.

Time-killer: Do to your ability to keep others amused gives you an edge on timed missions. You get a 15 minute bonus on timed missions

Lighthearted: When you team with others, the group gets a +5% bonus against Holds

Slap-Stick: Because of your antics, you get a +7% bonus to taunting the enemy.

Distraction: You attract so much attention to yourself from the enemy that your group gets a +10% bonus to their accuracy.

I don't know about the numbers, but I was inspired by the other sets and came up with this set that is kinda tank/scrapper/brute oriented.

I heard rumbling about possible forced Vill/hero team ups. I know that it's not going to happen. the TF is doable by full hero or full villain OR combo teams. So maybe those for which the idea of teaming with someone from the other side makes them gag, will be at ease and more willing to back this Issue release.

From what I have seen leaked out, I think the new costume pieces will be a fresh and cool thing to play with for awhile.

I think the delay on the Villain Epics are because of lack of new and fresh ideas. We all know that two of the many things that scare people are aliens and robots but that's been done alot. Sure there could be a robot force bent on the destruction of all life but that sounds so much like the borg. To me it's just so hard to come up with something original.

How much flack would the devs catch if they just threw out another set of alien epics? I think alot. So, I am one who is willing to let them think really hard and come up with something that is cool, instead of just throwing any old thing out there just to even things out.

But that's IMHO.

No, I don't think you offended DJ. He is very good at what he does. It takes many hours to do what he does. If I was capable to put as much time as he does on a piece, then I'd probably charge 3 times what he does.

Without saying, I tend to compare him to a Da Vinci of 3D... but that's me.

I thought about that too, Spine. Everyone doesn't know about [ctrl][print screen] and then going to c:\program file\city of heroes\screenshots to get the resulting JPeGs.

I've done 3D work, I even done free 3D work, but I'm nowhere close to Dark_jedi's talent. I do think DJs work IS worth the price. He puts alot of time and effort into his pieces. the detailing is what drives the price up. I do understand the price issue, just remember you get what you pay for so be careful with whom you choose.
