Quote:I actually went to Orlando on my honeymoon in 1995, then again a couple years later for an anniversary. First time we went to Disney, had fun. But the second time we went to Universal & Seaworld and it was SO much more fun. Probably the lack of kids. We haven't been back since 1997... even though we have three kids now. I guess we need to get on that before they outgrow it.Morning all!! Two factors weighed in heavily to me deciding to go to FLorida in october:
1.Universal Studios: Harry Potter attraction
2. Universal Studios: Halloween Horror Nights.
and
3.) DIsney World Pirates of the Carribean
went on that when I was 8 years old. would love to go on it now and see all the changes since the movies came out. -
Yes, No, Yes.
Maybe when I can settle on a main character it'll be three yes. -
Quote:Silver Gale is a patron of the D, and a good roleplayer. So.Alright, but that isn't what I said. My point is if you are looking for good RP you probably wont find it in the D.
I hear what you're saying -- I've seen the same kind of thing with other locations in other games (Goldshire, anyone?). But there are always, always gems in the rough. If you're open to finding them, you'll find them. If you're not, which is what you're stating in a sweeping generalization, you won't.

The smoke monster post was awesome.

It's alright that there are no dirty bums being played. I googled costume images looking for one and now I have Nth more characters that would be so cool.
I will never crack level 40. -
I have an itch, want to see costume ideas.
Screenshots welcome, or costume descriptions. -
I like this idea. You would need to actively interface with other SGs to get the level of interaction you want. It would be quite a bit of work if you wanted to actually be "hired" and participate/run sessions and such. Publicize, publicize, publicize.

I just recently came back after a while gone. Honestly, I respec'd every character and dumped all the travel powers except on one character for Ninja Run. I really, really (really, really, really) like having two power slots freed up early, and Ninja Run is pretty fast when coupled with Swift. I have no doubt that I'll grab travel power(s) later, but right now I'm just running Architect arcs anyways, no out-in-the-world stuff until I get sick of doing those.

Quote:I was browsing the booster packs and didn't figure I was going to get any of them. Then I saw that the science one lets you use the cosmetic tailor, so I gotta pick that one up. And I see that the new one has the mutant costume changes which are pretty schwing.speaking of new shinies.. a new booster pack is going on sell on th 24th.
I have a 30-something brute that is enormous when he is all monsterlike and wears a suit when he is all cuthroat businessman-y. Making a decently scaled "small" enormous man in a suit was a little tough, but that will make him AWESOME. /lateexcitement -
Hey, just returned to the game after a prolonged absence, wondering if something has changed/been updated/whatever.
Is there is a way to turn off the character breathing animation for any of the robotic skins, or breathing in general?
Thanks! -
Quote:Thanks! If you outlevel a contact, it should introduce you to the next one in line. Your contacts should continue to do this, until you reach the ones that are appropriate to your level.
Bar that, your characters can get a newspaper (for villains, from a broker) or a radio (for heroes, from a detective) that will give you random, quick, and basic missions. Complete three to five of them and you'll be presented with a special mission (mayhem for villains, safeguard for heroes). Complete that and the broker/detective that gave you the mission will let you pick the contact you want. -
Quote:Thanks for the link, I found the new wiki. The architect determines your level based on the mission. You'll scale to the appropriate level automatically, and will never outlevel anything in the architect. The wiki can be found here, this first link directs you to an overview of the invention system.
I should have clarified that I meant world contacts, not architect contacts. Just curious how it handles it if you are pointed to Vic Johnson and don't go see him til you're SL20. -
Thank ya, ma'am. I forogt about the wiki, so that's a great place for me to start.
How does the system handle outleveling contacts through the Architect system? Do I have to start wherever I left off and work through a bunch of "I have nothing for your security level" and getting new contacts? -
Howdy.
I'm dabbling in City of Heroes whilst bored with WoW (Moon Guard, if anyone else is doing the same), and I haven't been back to actually play in CoH since before the Architect system was launched. Lots of changes I'm noticing, all of them pretty darn good. I'm having fun.
Anyways, my favorite feature by far is the Architect thing. I like it so much that I forget to run missions around and about and I'm wondering if that will have any detrimental effect on my playing down the road.
Is it possible to get to 50 in this system? Is there enough content, or would I have to repeat everything a bunch of times to do that? Are there any cautions about this system?
When do I need to start getting Invention Enhancements as opposed to single-origin? Does it matter?
Are there any RP hotspots on Virtue, like the old Park gatherings in Atlas (Skyway, maybe? I don't remember.) where the irish chick used to perch on the rock and then made everyone cry by perma-dying? I hear Pocket D is maybe bleagh nowadays?
How is the health of the consignment place nowadays? Inflated or reasonable for a new/non-influence-stockpiled character? -
>>Invader Zim references
I still like Godzilla sitting on the Thunder Throne and "winged potatoes, furry potatoes..." better. -
No one is disputing the hard work & efforts of the dev team. At least, I'm not. The game is fabulous, the content is glorious, and nothing is bad enough to make me stop playing every day.
The bugs in the missions still make them nearly unplayable,e specially with the backlogged petitions. I know I'd be happier knowing an ETA on the fixes. -
I'm enjoying the +1 mobs, red bosses and all, but I'm playing a tank. I know plenty of defenders and controllers who are extremely frustrated (at the lower levels).
Personally, the geometry problems are almost frustrating enough to break the addiction of playing every night. Almost. -
I would also like to know when this is going to be fixed, as well as the time-stopping geometry problems (mobs in walls and glowies covered by new art). The missions are becoming frustrating.
The bugs moreso than the level of the villians. -
I speak solely for myself when I say that I'm going to wait until the changes are on Test and then actually test them.
Judging by Cryptic's track record so far, when Statesman says it needs to be FUN at 30+, that's what I think they'll provide, in whatever form it needs to be in. They _know_ that grinding is not fun. If they think we should grind, they think it should be fun. Therefore, if the fun is lacking, it ain't going live. Couple that with the mantra of making things 'feel' like a comic book superhero that we hear, and I can understand the _concern_ that fighting 3 even-con minions would be teh suck, but I can't fathom how anyone can honestly believe that these devs would do it. I sure don't.
