As for OMM - In the good old days we had no puffy 25% debt for dying in a mission. It was full debt and we earned it at level 6 not 10!! These new-fangled "heeeroooos" have it soft I tell ya!

It was a GREAT double XP weekend.
I'm NOT a part of any SG or group of friends, but I had absolutely NO PROBLEM joining teams. I just set my team button to "Looking for missions" and within minutes I was in a team.

Playing only infrequently over the weekend, I was able to get my main toon from lvl 39 to just shy of lvl 42 and got over 6 million influence and several badges. Played on Guardian server with no lag, no hiccups and no disconnects. Used my laptop AMD64 4000+, 1.5GB ram and ATI X600 video card with high settings.

No problems just lots and lots of fun.

Congratulations to the winners as well.

So when does the next issue of STRENGTH come out? I love that black and white rendition.

Are you talking fan-based, or 'Officially' based? If you want official, I think you've already gotten your answer just by seeing that they are canceling the comic. However, if you are talking about all of the talently-inclined that are reading this putting together a website and showcasing their own and other people's Cities fiction, art, and so forth, you might be onto something.

Isn't that what the comic competition is about? See Here I think they have over 300 hundred entries. Take the best 48 and post them every month and you are covered for 4 years at no cost. BIG WHOOP!

However, a company that only shows that it is giving less services and does not show improvements gives the consumer an air of failure or money grabbing.

Less web involvement = NOT GOOD
Comic was free then we had to pay = NOT GOOD
Comic was monthly then every 2 months = NOT GOOD
Comic is gone = NOT GOOD (even though NCSoft had little to do with the comics it still reflects on NCSoft et al)
Sponsered events with cameos by States et all now only occur on test server = NOT GOOD (I play CoX not CoXTEST)
Regular issue updates to game = NORMAL (we were given this already with game launch)
Loss of some regular Red-Names to other projects = NOT GOOD (Not saying anything bad about present Red-Names)
Long outstanding bugs ignored in preference to rushing new issue release = NOT GOOD

Appearance of a company TRYING and promoting is neccessary to the consumer to have confidence in the game. When City of Heroes was the only kid on the block, it was the golden age now with City of Villains and Marvel moving in, we lost the "A-list" and are left with the "B-list" (hardworking and doing their best, but to this consumer not the visionaries that started it all)

I'll miss the comic and find that "The Scoop" is not a good replacement for it. (As an addition it would have been good but by itself it lacks)

I still support this game fully and enjoy it immensely and will continue down the road to where the path may lead, but I worry that some of these "potholes" in the road might have damaged something. I hope not... but there is this feeling of worry.

NCSoft, developers, Red-Names and all involved, thank you for all your hard work, but please stop the appearance of deterioration.

What do you mean by "Only pick 2 servers you consider home."????!!! I'm an ALT-AHOLIC! All the servers are considered home! Down with server prejudice! Up with ALT-AHOLICISM!

I think a nice addition would be to get some of those wizards on the "Technical Issues and Bugs" Forum such as FatherXmas and BillZBubba (to name a few) to write up some weekly help column. I swear that some of those guys don't play CoX anymore, they just help some of the less fortunate day in and day out.

I look forward to issue 9 but....

I have been playing since beta and you would think that I know all about everything in this game of CoX however I'm losing track of it all. I never built a base yet, I was thinking of it but I did not know where to start and trying to find info I have to piece together a couple of forum discussion groups. Same goes alot of the upcoming stuff and some of the older stuff. CoX is getting to be too big SPECIALLY since the manual has been out of date for a couple of years.

Can we have an up-to-date online manual and not just a bunch of forum links?
