I decided to play my Hero after a long time and was kicking around Bricktown and noticed something humorous.
Manticore is about 5'6" tall.
Swan is about 7' tall.
That puts his eyes right at her bustline. -

Interesting sub-note: Clearly, from the rest of the paper, Virtue is the One True Server, as Tsetse and the rest from Evo were also in the article.
Yep. Evo, kicking tail, taking names, defining reality. Way to go, guys!
[/ QUOTE ]
iirc virtue is the original server, renamed virtue at theend of beta. I could be remembering it wrong though, been awhile.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, the first server was Freedom (Prime in CoH Beta). Pinnacle was second added (Late Beta iirc).
[/ QUOTE ]
And Justice was the origional Test Server!
Justice, the CoX Asylum! Schizo from CoH Beta and beyond!!

I love playing this game, but I often get strange reactions from people when I tell them I play MMO's. How do you guys justify/explain playing the game/use of the game?
[/ QUOTE ]
I explain it to them and if they still look at me weird, I tell them I could be drinking and smoking at a bar or in some alley somewhere with a needle in my arm. If they're so wrapped up in the "must work every waking moment, then go home and work some more" mentality, they're not someone I want to associate with. -
I just changed my sig and *then* saw this thread, so I HAVE to post in it!

To all you humbuggers out there, Free Stuff = Good. They didn't have to do anything at all.

I think the issue stems from this:
"At his bidding, villains will soon begin to creep towards the peaceful streets of Paragon City, ..."
Which is part of the mailing. When the mission finally goes live, we are sent to a cargo ship to click on presents.
There's a pitiful story lead-in, and no story follow up.
This isn't a [censored], this is feed back:
A better story aurrounding it would be better. Something to get us caught up in it. More than one mission would have been a good idea. An entire arc wouldn't have been too much more trouble. And at the end of everything, there should be a hook to let us know more is comming, or a conclusion.
I guess waht also compounds the disappointment is their past successes. There are some great arcs in the game that make you feel involved and that yo uaccomplished something. Also, I took part in the first Halloween event, and that was great! I missed the holiday event last year, so I can't comment on that. But so far, this one's a little disappointing in comparison. We *KNOW* they can do so much better. We've *SEEN* it. That's why we're disappointed. It's like trying to new dish at your favorite restaurant, only to find it bland.
We know you can do better Cryptic! Please don't disappoint us, the 19th! -
Yes, saw that the post above mine.
New problem.. The Ferrys on Justice server aren't working.
we can't GET to the event. -

Thank You!
one problem though.. That pop up appeared as I exited a mission in a PvP zone, so I dismissed it immediately like I have the hundreds of other times I've entered a PvP zone, thinking it's the normal 'You're in a PvP zone' message. -
That's the problem.. noone can FIND them in CoV side, probably because the 'Black Helicopters' are littered all over the place so there aren't any new ones to find. The CoH locations were leaked, but not the CoV side. And those who may know, are holding on to the info probabaly out of some childish need for dominance.
Frustrating in the least. -

I had the forethought to seek out the helicopters on Test last night. This morning I parked my toons near those locations in preparation. Now if I can just get my toddler to go to bed early tonight...

FARMING
I tried to get this badge, but gave up after two hours of utter boredom. At one point, just to change the pace I was taking out groups with my caltrops. yay. ZZZzzzz...
200 *bosses* ?? That's just a joke. -
This is a great read!
As someone who hasn't done a Hammy raid. I've been a bit daunted since I know there are Dos and Don'ts that I should know, but I don't have a large Hammy-Experienced SG to depend upon to learn them. This is a great help, and, once I hit 45, I'll be sure to hop into a raid now.Sounds like a lit of fun and quite the experience.

Paragon will be mine, or it will be GONE TO THE AMERICANS!!!!!

I had an epiphany, and now submit for your approval, Dr. Plasto:
Dr. Phinneas J. Plasto is one of, if not the , best plastic surgeons on earth. His skills are unmatched, with life-like and scar-free results. But his greatest secret, one he holds very close to his chest, is that he has to ability to do his work around superpowers. Invulnerability and Fire are not even obstacles to him.
He has made billions with his skill and his secret, charging extortionate prices from not just Villains, but Heros who want to look their best on the Evening News. His prices buy not just perfetion, but his silence as well. So the next time you see that perfectly proportioned Heroine bounce past, or thinkto your self "My, Statesman has a rather heroic chin." you are witnessing the Rogue Isles greatest asset, and Paragon's darkest secret; Dr. Plasto. -

What an interesting thread. The OP doesn't want to play the blame game, because the people to blame (himself and the retailer) can't make kiss the boo-boo make it better.
Instead he wants the corporation to instantly revise its entire schedule of employee work times and put a full complement of GMs on for the weekend, open early, build and debug servers weeks in advance of the promised date, and in general have things ready just in case some mope accidentally on purpose gets hold of a copy early because, you know, that one guy paid his fifty bucks so he deserves to play right now (even if the game isn't available) or he'll kick his widdle feetses.
It's threads like this that make me realize how much I like shortbread cookies.
You know, the striped chocolatey ones you can dip in milk? Yeah, striped shortbread cookies. Oh, and those little white cookies with the chocolate frosting on 'em, can't remember what they're called, but I get 'em at the bakery department at Safeway. I also kind of like the Rice Krispie assortment box too except when they have something silly like Spongebob Sprinkles. I'd rather have the chocolate drizzle ones or the plain ones, yum yum.
I also kinda like the Pecan Shortbread cookies but if I don't have any milk in the house I don't get 'em.

Mmm.. Those are good... I also like the Pepridge Farm Brussels cookies.. Expensive but such a great texture to them... -

Because there's this industry called the "retail" industry, that allowed me to reserve the game even when it was first announced. I find it convenient to use, because unlike purchasing things online, I get to go out of my apartment and interact with actual human beings, who can answer questions and deal immediatly with any problems or issues that may arise.
So you're saying that its the retail industry's fault that they launched the game early, and not at all playNC's fault for locking the game out for anyone other than pre-order customers. Just sit back and imagine right now how many kids got this game on Friday from their local EB or GameStop or (fill in here) and got it home, only to find themselves locked out because they weren't a Super Special member? Think of the customers PlayNC is losing!
[/ QUOTE ]
YES
Think of the dumb customers PlayNC is losing.
Offical launch date is Oct 31. I don't know about the calendar your world works on, but on mine, that's Monday. I've NEVER EVER seen an Offical Launch date of Oct 29 for CoV.
HOWEVER, with my PRE-ORDER BOX that I purchased at Best Buy, it stated that there was a 2-day HEAD START.

head start
n.
1. A start before other contestants in a race.
2. An early start that confers an advantage.
[/ QUOTE ]
Again, I'm not sure how the dictionaries are printed in your world, but mine are printed much like this.
It IS the retail establishment's fault that you didn't get your pre-order. Where you pre-ordered, they should have sent you a pre-order box. It is *NOT* in any way, shape, or form, PlayNC's responsibility to hand deliver your pre-order box.
Nor is it their responsibility to teach you reading comprehension or common sense.
I am just sick and tired of not just posts like these, but the whole attitude of entitlement that people have now a days. Everything has to be spoon-fed, and coated in Nerf foam. I'm sorry for this rant, but the abject infantile stupidity of these posts are driving me insane, and I unfortunately fell face-first into this one hoping for an intelligent observation of some gaff or mishap in CoV marketing. Instead I find, not just one post by some baby who can't read, but another supporing the OP. And I'm sure there will be more infants comming crying that they should be playing in the head start, even though they didn't pre-order, or did but didn't bother to pay attention to the numerous posts about pre-order codes, pre-order boxes, and so-forth.
