Unfortunately I've actually lost the use of one hand due to a pretty horrific insect bite and so I wasn't able to model it properly in 3D or draw it - had to just work really basic in PSPX.
I stop playing and my hand falls off...typical (not literally hand fallen of, it's just huge swollen and red with much pain and itch).
So yeah, just expressing lots of sadness. -

Oh and a fun fact, not a rumour:
The only time I've ever see Bronx defeated was during the 5 year anniversary event. Didn't do the multiple AVs any good though, he just bounced back with a self rez every few seconds. Fun to watch. -

Everyone enters the mission and begins to attack the first mob, you notice they have no chance against level 54 bosses, for one, the Tank was the first one dead, and second when you ask the Tank how they are slotted you get 6 people asking you, "What's an enhancement?".
You check their badges and all of them don't even have the first vet badge yet.
The other person on your team is laughing just as hysterically as you are as you both stand back and watch them die.

QFT. I have to add that the character creation is nice and has some interesting features and every cool name that is taken in City is currently available in CO. HOWEVER, the graphics are ... not very good. They look a lot like my "graphics minimum" on the high-powered machine I used. And some of the attack chain quirks, are not so nice either. Unless it gets lots better, there is no interest here in a switch, even a temp one.

You're right about everything there...
Except the character creation, it is confusing and impossible to use, may help that the graphics match that of pong. CO is full of fail, seems liked they've taken what the players here at CoX would like to see and put it into a game with a 20 dollar budget.

I disliked the character creation too, glad someone else agrees on that note...and for sure, it's like take everything you didn't like about WoW, mix it with what you had wanted to see in CoX and then dump it out there cause Star Trek might make more money...

I tried out CO after getting my invite.
The problems, in order of finding them:
Character looks all blurry in the creator tool...
Only one face possible. No way to change the mouth shape, eye size/shape, nose, nothing. All you can do is overlay the face with wrinkles...?
Blocky character. No body sliders that have any real impact.
Picked my powersets...was told something weird about the powers I got. Didn't really know what the game was talking about.
Entered the game. No voice acting. Everything looked sepia and drab. Unless you turn off bloom, things look weird and foggy.
Realised the only way to make the game look kinda nice was to turn on outlines and all the other cartoon stuff. This turned the game into a sort of Marvel Ultimate Alliance, but with far more complex and opaque controls. Still couldn't fathom the levelling system.
The GUI seemed to be lifted directly from Age of Conan...
Your character spends most of the time being tiny on screen, cos the only way to see your enviroment properly is to zoom waaay out.
Played though some missions...I think? I got some tasks from NPCs but had no idea how they linked together or what my overall aim was.
I gave up after a couple of goes. My character looked ugly and the power animations were just lame. -

I could have lived with the damage and endurance. But the recharge and range turn it into a completely different (and vastly inferior) power. -
Yeah I know I know these threads are frowned on but I do know lots of peeps here so I gotta just post and say "bye".
I've seen the changes to Psi Shockwave and with this added to all the other recent changes it's all now seriously going too far and I'm off to go play other things.
I swore a long long time ago when I only had 1 lil villain that if anything happened to Psi Shockwave then I'd go. And it has, big time. So I'm out.
If the change gets reversed then someone send me an email or PM or something

Now you need to do the same thing at a different location, to get a super special job and extra abilities!
Locations that work irl:
Random street corner (vagrant)
Random field (scarecrow)
Anywhere else (prisoner)

I think I could go with losing the "Thumbs Up" Star badges and certainly the fixed Builder to Master Builder badges.
Especially since the GMs I spoke to said that they wouldn't award the latter set retroactively even if they agreed that an arc was eligible for them when it had fewer ratings than it now does.
Badges that can be actively griefed by others and are not within the control of the player are bad. I personally don't mind a couple of "Dev Award" badges floating around but when it becomes entire sets of badges then that's a bad idea.
The others can all stay. I'll get the 50K virtual kills and 250 HoF runs eventually (IF people STOP griefing arcs that hit HoF status!). -

Getting my Widow to 50 just after Issue 12 arrived left me with about 20 minutes sleep before work and I had to give up and take the day off

I suspect the main reason for the death of the Vault was two thirds of the veteran playerbase reacting to it by logging on and opting out within 5 minutes of it being announced.
A five year anniversary moonbase staffed by 5th Column that hands out Items of Power if you raid it as a SG would be nice though. Especially if a successful raid triggered a time paradox "Storm" event across the servers.
I think we should open Hero 1's capsule two years early. I bet Nemesis is inside there anyway. -

OMG that is such such great news. Hopefully the GMs will run mine and restore it, or at worst tell me to make a few more changes (maybe adding a second mission part) before it reappears
woo hoo. I guess the real story must be that they pulled lots of arcs as a desperation move and now are working through them. -
I think the "bot" is catching missions where players have put "this mission is NOT a farm" into the title, description, etc; as well as ones that say "this IS a farm".
How sad.
I do have one small hope that the "deletion" of arcs is actually a bug that stops banned arcs from being visible in the MA interface. if this is the case, then all they need to do is fix the bug.
However, I also have a bad feeling that the GMs are acting from the assumption that this is just the initial mad rush of MA material and at some point later "when things calm down" they can go back and sort out all the problems happening every day.
That's never going to happen. The number of arcs is just going to keep going up and up. There are already players who just chop and change publishing farms form their local files, believing that there is no way the GMs can keep up with everyone (and more seriously, no way they can ban a tonne of players/accounts based on publication of farms).
After a certain point of bans/appeals/account closures, I14 will just end up costing more money than it makes. -
If they don't hurry up I'm just going to buy the Cyborg pack again!

The easy way to do Mutant would be some new heads (like the Pumpkin head), tails, and a re-skinned Crab Backpack that could resemble tentacles, standard Arachnoid claws and other similar things.
The hard way to do it would be to release a re-skinned Tarantula/Tarantula Mistress as a transformation power, complete with their own (limited) animations.
Snake-type lower bodies would be nice. But then we'd have the hilarity of making martial arts characters perform flying kicks without legs -

I think it would be nice for there to be recognition, but I think it would need to be more subtle than a plaque because the event only occurs on one server.
I think all you would need to do is get a designer to add a new feature to the meeting place when Issue 15 or 16 appears.
Perhaps an impressive tree, or a big bad rock. Or a lil statue of a tanker hero. Or hey...maybe a broken tank.
Something that would make things clear for the organisers and participants but not explicit to players on other servers. -
