    No, No! All the merchandising I've seen say Play City of Villains on 31 Oct 2005. All stores are putting the game out early so you can install and get your system ready. A release date and a play on date are 2 different things. Sounds like you a made a deposit on the Full edition well before a preorder kit was annouced by NCSOFT. Your local store is at fault. I know a few male people had preordered too early and got a female special helm from Game Stop. Now truthfully, your retailer should have applied your deposit to a preoder kit and called you when it came in, that store messed up and they owe you a kit IMO. Secondly, when the official preorder kits were announced you should have double checked with the store to see what helm/version you were getting to CYA.

    I think you'r missing Purples point, unless I am in which case this will be my point.

    In the PVP Zone, if you are killed by a player you acrue no debt, and if you kill a player you gain no exp.

    There are PVE enemies in the zone, killing them awards one exp and dying at their hand awards one debt.

    If someone is there to PVP their goal should be to kill another player character, thus achieving the much saught after gloating rights.

    It is unfortunately possible for someone to do several things which are not what it seems the devs intended, namely:
    1. TPing almost dead PC's into the waiting arms of NPC's causing them to die at the NPC's hands and not theirs thus accruing debt for said PC.
    2. TPing and PC into the waiting arms of a police drone or arachnos drone causing them to be one-shot killed with no chance of retaliating or knowing who got them (I understand sometimes you don't know anyway but theres a chance you might) once again accruing debt.
    3. Waiting until someone is fighting an NPC, hitting them so their almost dead and NOT finishing them off YOURSELF, but letting the NPC finish them so they accrue debt.

    I see deliberately causing a character to accfrue debt in a system designed so that PVP does not cause debt as griefing. Doing the above three things in a pvp zone is the same as dropping a teammate off a building into a mob using TP friend in a non PVP zone.

    My solution? Make TP Foe not work on PC's using the ingame explanatoin that the teleport devices we wear to send us to and from hospitals cancel out unwanted TP. After all we have to click allow it for friendlies now.

    This doesn't cancel out the thrid form of griefing but nothing will.

    I also don't think anything that can kill you in one shot (Police Drone) and can't be killed itself should give you debt.

    This is the most valid point in the PvP game. Debt exists in the zone. Winning PvP is more than just ganking and exploiting. Mr Dominator locks you down and his stalker teammate one shots you; great job! That's true PvP! Now Mr. Dominator Locks you down and they TP you to a bunch of mobs or a drone- Pop! Debt, that's greifing.

    What they need to add is supression of XP debt when you are attacked by another player a 30 seconds status effect [PvP Enagement] should be applied, it's enough time becuase you can run and lose aggro or take the hospital trip

  6. Played a dominator and I kept pinning heroes against the wall with Telekinesis while Stalkers 1-2 shotted my targets, easy pickings. I even managed to confuse a scrapper. I had fun because we won .. but the lag was just miserable .. I hope Lag won't be a problem on launch

    Actually approaching Noon which is is neither AM or PM. This is why the limit was approached from both sides ..think of noon as dividing by zero so it is excluded. It gets messy I know. The moment Noon starts adding a reference in time let it be a minute or a nanosecond you enter the realm of PM. I take my lunch every day at 11:00 AM and I'm alloted 60 min for lunch. If I return any time after Noon, I am late and it is electronically is documented. I've seen co workers documented at 12:00.01

    Actually, that's not entirely accurate. AM is before noon, PM is after noon. 12:00 is noon. In actuality, it is neither PM nor AM, just like midnight since midnight could either be considered to be 12 hours after noon or 12 hours before. However, since the 59mins following midnight are in AM, midnight is commonly considered AM as well.

    In a calculus class we dedetermined 1200 is noon 2400 is midnight. Since this only exists for a breif moment in time

    12:00.00000000000000000000...1 is PM.

    Using limits on both 12:00 and 24:00 Noon becomes PM and Midnight Becomes AM.

    They put a new patch on test 10/11/2005. The Croatoa Citizens no longer KS Sally but the spawn rate is still being checked by CuppaJo.

    10.5 -21 hour spawn timer accross 5 spawn points with only one hit point. As a casual gamer, not a Korean living in an internet cafe, I can say this isn't right. Especially if you need to hit her 2 times. If I'm going to wait 42+ hours to hit something, I'll go to the bar
  14. I like to also point out that the final AV room has LAVA. If you want a challenge or your TF is running low on people, get Burkholder down into the LAVA and melt him away. I thought it was awesome that the devs let us have a 2nd way of defeating him ...intentional or not.
  15. I agree, by Zone would be great..I know some badge hunters get them as they level and will work out the badges on a per zone basis. The Zones should be listed by access level like the NAV section under the help menu. I used the Vidiotmaps and the NAV to get all my badges in one sweep. Very good work so far, 5 stars my friend!

    Call the Local store and go to the Music/Media/Computer software department, have the kids tapk some keys and they can tell you a price and a date if it isn't in the system they will just say ummmmmmmmmm.

    With all the Souveniers we collect and the future SG bases, would it be possible to have a "trophy" room? The room could be built by "themes" for each of the ATs and Origins. badges, accolades could also be placed here.

  19. Fire Fighting Cool, 2 thumbs up. No complaints but the timer on test takes toooo long.

    Troll Rave, 1 thumbs up. Needs a better way of finding it. Perhaps 2 Supa trolls tossing a third in the air for a few minutes. Like a Troll Flare

    The Ghost ship still locks up on test, but I really think the Moraine needs it's own model to set the time period of when the ship sank. Also have it's name ghostly glowing in purple inside.

    I am more inclined to award 1st place to a low level toon. For example, in the cotest I recently held there was a level 37 with an incredible costume. You know what really pulled it together though? The combination of the mask with glowing eyes.

    If ALL heroes had the option of capes with auras I'd wouldn't care about levels as much. However, in a costume contest I do have to take these things into consideration when looking at the overall picture.

    That means you are a biased judge . . . just close the contest for lvls <10 ... but how do you know it's a lvl 50 alt?????
  22. Costume contests are great sense of community ... but I'm more apt to reward a team drudging the bowels of a Hazard Zone ... Heroes fight crime not show off costumes for influence in the community.

    On Freedom I've yet to see a contest the was fake ..rigged that is another story.

    BTW I've yet to see a Kheldian win a contest .. I wonder why .. so I assume it is a need for influence versus an actually GOOD costume.

    My suggestion is to have a Panel of 3-4 Judges and 3 portions of the costume contest.
    IE what I like might not be what my other half likes when judging.

    Static -tradional stay put observations.

    Dynamic -get that hero moving, do those new tights show off all the angles.

    Combat -you have to look good in combat ..does that Skull fear you or what you wear ..or both.

    Don't elimate higher levels thinking they don't need influence.

    CoH is about having fun keep those contests coming!!
