  1. you want a blend of burst damage and debuffers.

    psi/em blaster
    psi/em blaster
    rad/ice (or psi) defender
    sonic/sonic defender
    ice/rad (or storm) controller

in a nutshell you'd have really decent damage as a team especially when all those -resistance debuffs on the target. you get a cager, all the power sets are chosen for 2ndary effects to keep your target at bay ie powers recharging or cut right through their resistances.

if you add a 6th to the team i'd strongly consider something wicked like a cold/sonic defender as well for the hella debuffs to add in the mix.
  2. elec/them has some pvp potential as a sapper.

other sets that generally kick [censored]:

    fire/kin, dark/cold

Don't expect to move your difficulty off of Heroic for quite a while. You probably won't have the tools needed to survive a group of more than 3 or 4 enemies until after level 20.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Maybe I'm doing it wrong - but on my current controller (level 9) I set the difficulty to Tenacious for bigger spawn sizes as soon as I grabbed my AoE Immobilize. The ranged attacks on most low level NPCs are pitiful - I drop a few Range TOs into my AoE immob ASAP and sit back beyond the range of most attacks while they die. I'm Plant/Storm and it's working out pretty well. I drop Roots, then if it misses anything I hit it with Strangler and Gale it back into the aoe of Roots.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In my experience, AoE Immobilizes generate far more aggro then you can really handle without something else backing it up. And you won't always be able to out-range your enemies. some Lost, Clockwork... and about half of Outcasts all can still attack from 80 ft away. Unless you're putting Range enhancements into EVERYTHING... they will be able to attack.

Then there's the detail that Bosses can generate at Tenecious and higher. And a controller has a VERY hard time taking out a boss in the early levels. Especially solo - which is my primary PoV here.

    [/ QUOTE ]

not sure about u guys but i solo'd my ill/ff on invince, and notoriously solo'd every freedom phalanx tf with it on invince other than manticore, i cou'd procur enough damage on hopkins since he had lots of resistances to his buddies attacks.

but my god, earth/storm, thats a conroller combo that makes players and npcs depending on who u use it on actually think about suicide because their so messed up and then they get rick rolled to death.

fire/kin possibly the least powerful combination of controller powers, if anything they should raise the damage cap on controllers by another 300% and then buff the durations of fulcrum shift to last 15 minutes. but hey those are just some of my observations.

    Captian Overcharge was born.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd reroll just because of the mispelling. I feel badly for high level characters with mispelled names: Candian Sheld, Black Rouge, Mistic Angle, all of which I've seen in game at one point or another.

    [/ QUOTE ]

lol i was drunk when i posted that, i have the correct spelling ingame, sorry for not noticing it once i sobered up but hell i've been drunk since i posted it.

  6. well when u work on IO'ing multiple PVP toons constantly it's easy to since 2 bil into a toon and be broke, so yes for my goals my stockpiles are low.
  7. PVP will unfortunately be removed with going rogue, PVP is an exploit because we have fun doing it and fun was never an intention of the game design.
  8. careful what u wish for, toonies is into hot wax, and car batteries w/ alligator clamps.
  9. i think my stock piles are getting low, maybe down to 3 bil on hero side and 1.5 bil on villains atm. i think its time to sell more stuff on BM!
  10. oops i forgot, remember to put ur accolades on and throw a stealth io in sprint.
  11. it gets 43.3% melee defense, 50.8% ranged/aoe outside of hide.

in hide that goes to 49.8%, 57.3% and 96.4% defense
    using invis... 54.2%, 61.7%, 100.8% defense

    or if u have to there's always retsu...90.5%, 98%, 137.1%

the self heal recharges in 19 seconds. you have ranged via leviathan including a hold.

25% global damage from the sets and then buildup/assassin strikes will help cut ppl down.

and oh yea the build uses virtually no endurance 1.08/s well u regen 3.04/second

    goodluck getting hit.
  12. welcome to the forums.

  13. that accolade would give u the badge [censored] badge at the expense of all your your badges would be destroyed in the process. once u get them all again and if u have the badge [censored] badge, then they are all replaced with the badge pimp badge and u can no longer ever get any badges.

the badge pimp accolade gives u the collective powers of all the accolades, plus instant healing as a accolade power in which its a toggle form and the power recharges once an hour, but if its on for 5 minutes without any hp to heal, it simply kills u, because the cells dividing in your body have thus given u cancer, and u die. do not pass go do not collect 200 dollars, just die.

    FREE RPG DAY!

i like free sex day, its a left over tradition form the 1960s that happens 363 days a year. the only days its not on are January 1st and march 18th, because those are the 2 offical hangover recovery days for the entire planet.
  15. ok my pirate is chilling at lvl 20, hurry ppl jump on board the ship, were off to Isla De Xp Nocturne.

make that lvl 21. avast ye seadogs and behold me lootin plunderin, i've found a fleet of of xp hidden in a sunken ship of the east india trading company. rum for everybody, except for you there because the rum won't help your stench, into the water's with ya mangy dog.
  16. cc doesn't play hockey, he's into figure skating.

real hockey players come from Minnesota, not canada

    MIA

pfft japes is simply trying to recreate my memories by travelling all over europe, that doppleganger [censored]!.

seriously though in france.. goto marseille, it seriously kicks paris in the [censored] on being a better city plus the women are generally hotter and usually wearing less clothes down at the beach if u know what i mean.
  18. my pirate is lvl 14 or so perfect for AE teams atm, since it has tentacles and snowstorm. big help at keeping the brute's herd together and slow their attack rate enough that the brute just doesn't outright die, not to mention my ice shield/glacial shield combos. someone should invite my pirate: Calico Jack Rackham, true story.
  19. yea I think I remember seeing shocking thought last night when I was drunk, I didn't throw up in your shoes did I?
  20. i rolled a pirate corruptor in the likes of Calico Rackham and got him up to i think lvl 13 atm, anyways im going to bed. part of the fun is to be drunk when playing your pirate.
  21. just a reminder, this event begins at midnight, so hurry up and make a pirate costume allready, argh!!!! shiverr me timbers, avast ye reckons with ghosts as ye walks the plank to dine with davey jone's from hence this day!
  22. regardless u can still play it and i can bring my lvl 43 crab and my lvl 35 brute to assist you.
  23. I can bring a lvl 35 brute and a lvl 40 crab to help out by either auto sk'ing or finding a couple lvl 46's to bring me up to useful status. but first off I need to go get some Chinese as I'm super hungry.
  24. pfft who needs heals anyways, its the buffs/debuffs that make support toons viable.

every single character in the game has a ressurrection power, its called "Hospital", and if ppl actually have to use it their doing something entirely wrong.
