Yes, that is actually a good idea, and I am planning to do that once I get over 2 billion again.
I will be pretty funny some day if they ever put lvl 53 IO's in the game. -
See title.
The reason I ask this is because I see AE mission teams mowing down groups of lvl 54 bosses with very little trouble. With the exception of EB's and AV's, these are the hardest mobs in the game and random PuG's can kill them in groups now.
With I9 and the invention system, the game has gotten easier than ever. What can be done to make it more challenging? Is the current linear mission system holding it back? Do missions need to be more dynamic in some way? Do mobs need to be harder to kill? More damaging? More CC?
What do you think needs to be done? Or do you think nothing should be done? -
I was IO'ing my new main toon the other day. While I was doing this I had to transfer more influence to him because the 2 billion I initially transferred had run out and I still had slots to fill. I know it isn't a priority, but with market prices inflating due to AE farms, (less drops, more influence to spend), should the influence cap per toon be raised to 3 billion? 4 billion?
More importantly, can it be raised, or is it coded to only go up to 2 billion? -
How about DirkDivac's B**ch....how much would that cost?
-
I was searching the forums and haven't found anything about a market competition. Everyone who reads here is fairly competent in making cash in the market, but I am surprised there hasn't been a friendly competition to see who is the best. A competition like this would be completely based on the honor system as there would be no way to truly monitor if anyone was cheating. I was thinking something like this:
1. First one to 1 billion wins.
2. Must start with a toon with a certain amount of money to get started. I was thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 million or so.
3. Each competitor would post screen shots twice a week or so to show the progress being made.
4. Have fun and profit.
Obviously there would have to be more rules than this, I was just thinking of a rough outline to get things rolling.
Would anyone be interested in something like this? I think it would be a fun side game for all the market experts out there. It would also be a small study on how long it actually takes to be EBIL.... -
I actually use a spreadsheet to keep up with my toons influence/infamy numbers. I keep track of each toon, how much inf they have on hand and how much they have invested in market schemes.
I do this mostly because I am curious to see how much inf I am making each week/month/etc...
But, I don't have a spreadsheet keeping market numbers up to date. That seems like a TON of work to keep up with enough to make it meaningful. -
Yup...thanks again Fulmens for matching 200 mil influence to prestige for me...that 800,000 prestige sure helps get my personal base up and running.
-
Hey Fulmens, I am trying to rebuild a personal base for all my alts on Freedom, if you are still matching influence to prestige conversion, I'm game. I can go as high as 300 million at the moment.

Oh, actually I've been in the ebil club for quite a while. I actually quit the game for a 6 month break and have recently returned. When I quit I gave away 1 billion influence to the first two toons I saw in WW and canceled my account.
The only reason I am noticing the prices now is because my cash toon is only sitting on 800 million or so and I have about 5 toons to IO out to the max minus purples.
The main reason this is all so surprising to me now is because when I IO'ed toons last year, the enhancements would sell for 125% of the recipe/salvage cost...that number seems to be 250%'ish now, at least with this small sample size. -
I was doing some IO'ing out of my fire/fire blaster and trying to buy some Posi's Blast pieces for my AoE attacks. I thought to myself, I don't really want to waste the extra time buying salvage, buying recipes and crafting so I'll just buy the enhancement at a moderately higher cost than the parts it takes to make it.
Imagine my surprise when I saw a Posi Blast Acc/Dmg enhancement (forgot the level, somewhere between 30-41) was selling for 10 million influence. 10 MILLION! I priced all the parts to make it, + crafting costs and it only costs in the neighborhood of 4 million to make myself.
My question is this: Are people that lazy or uninformed to actually pay that price? JEEZ... -
Sorry about your loss. 40 is too young.
A few things I do to try to keep in shape while gaming:
While waiting in game lobbies or waiting for everyone to group up for missions, etc. :
- Get on the ground and do as many pushups as you can in 2 minutes. If you do that everytime you wait for gaming to resume, you might end up doing 200 pushups in a gaming session.
- Stand up out of your chair and do some basic stretches, toe touches, pull your arms behind your back, calf stretches, etc.
- Stand up and do some squats with no weight. Just up and down 15-20 times and sit back down to game. You will be surprised at how sore this will make you the first few days.
- Or just go buy some 20-50lb dumbells from your local second hand sports store. They will be cheap and you can do a variety of exercises from your desk/gaming area while you are idle.
All of these things are small steps, but will help keep you in a little bit better shape than you would've been just sitting there.
P.S. Skip the soda, buy some Vitamin Water instead. Tastes good, less calories per serving and packed full of vitamins. -
Vet badges it is then. Thanks for the replies. I was just over thinking the whole process I suppose.

Pretty much as the post says, I have 2 accounts, but don't really wan't to keep 2 running. All IO's and influence can and will be transferred to the account I keep. Here is a rundown of each account:
1st Account: This is my original account, it is up to the 24 month veteran badge. Toons of note on this account:
Fire/Fire Tank Lvl 50
Fire/Fire Blaster Lvl 39
Fire/Rad Controller Lvl 35
Dark/Sonic Defender Lvl 34
Ill/FF Controller Lvl 29
Dark/Rad Defender Lvl 24
Account 2: This account is up to the 12 month vet badge, also of note, this account has some leveled villains as well.
Spines/Dark Scrapper Lvl 50
ARifle/NRG Blaster Lvl 50
Mind/Emp Controller Lvl 30
Dark/Fire Tanker Lvl 30
Dark/Ice Defender Lvl 25
Fire/Dark Corruptor Lvl 50
Crab VEAT Lvl 35
Earth/Fire Dominator Lvl 29
So which would you keep? I am really at wits end here. -
Assault Rifle/Energy
Step 1: Use boost range to make cone extra long.
Step 2: Target farthest mob in the group and back up.
Step 3: Hit Full Auto
Step 4: Full camera spin
Step 5: Pull too much aggro and die.
It's fun as hell, you should try it. -
If I had to pick the most fun powersets that I have played thus far they would be:
Blaster: Fire/Fire - Absolute AoE monster, not much for soloing as he has no mitigation, but on a team, you will see huge orange numbers
Defender: Dark/??? - Dark is just an awesome defender set that makes your team unstoppable and feels controllerish at the same time
Tank: WP/SS - This is a cool combo, WP is a great tank set and you can't go wrong with the smash em up SS powerset
Controller - My fav 2 combos so far have been Earth/Rad and Ice/Kin...Ice/Kin has the synergy of slowing down your foes while speeding up your allies and Earth/Rad is just plain awesome...3 AoE holds/disorients + stone cages + rad debuffs = I WIN button.
Scrapper: The only scrapper I have any expertise on is Spines/Dark, he starts slow, but once you get higher levels and some IO's in him, he is an absolute beast.
Others for consideration:
AR/NRG Blaster
Fire/Fire Tank
Ill/Storm Troller
Rad/Sonic Defender
All very fun to play as well. Hope this helps! -
They are called money trees! Duh!
