In addition, there's a small graphical glitch which I've been trying to capture a screenshot of, but haven't managed yet. Basically, during the power-up portion of the animation, there's a point just prior to the attack where I can see visible rectangular seaming around the electricity, at about the point where my hands are held out for width.

This?

Edit: I demorecord and then use Zloth's demo launcher to do screenshot dumps of the demo in .tga format. Then I can look through all of the frames to pick out my favorite screenshot - well, in this case, I was going through to pick out the glitch... I had already posted my favorite screenshot on our SG website -

Maybe beating the signature hero should be a optionnal objective giving the temp power. So if the hero kills you, you bust out of jail and take the money to the exit (like hostages) and you get mission complete, with the bonus and your broker will intruduce you to a new contact.

I really like this idea. I don't want to be a naysayer that all the awesome heroes come and try to stop you, because I think that's awesome. Well, awesome for a full team.
Not so awesome for a solo or duoist who can't beat the EB
Either that or forget about the whole "Mission Completed" for the bank at all. As soon as your time runs out, "Mission Completed" If you defeat the hero, you get the temp power. You can always leave if you get sick of it *shrug* -
Holy ow! 17 Flashbang grenades?
I did some calculations, and I'm pretty sure there's a decimal point problem in them.
65% - base accuracy against a +1 minion
66% - two white ACC SO's in all of my attack powers (including brawl)
25% - Insight
25% - Insight
25% - Insight
25% - Insight
231% - my total accuracy
I missed 4 times in a row. According to the streakbreaker (search for _castle_ and streak), this is only possible if I have at most a 50% current accuracy.
231-50=181%
That means that 3 flashbang grenades debuffed me by 181% (assuming that I had hit the streakbreaker, which is highly unlikely.) So each flashbang grenade was a whopping 60% debuff!!!!
If I hadn't hit the streakbreaker, I would have had under a 30% acc.
231-30=201%
So each flashbang grenade in that scenario would be 67% - effectively capping anyone who doesn't slot accuracy.
Sure they're not supposed to be 6%? I mean, I'm ok with a huge debuff, if it's Nosfaratu as an AV with a one time hit every minute. But uh... these guys throw this around like candy.
Should look at the glue arrow too. My slow was capped as well, and I have slotted SS - there's just no way to measure that. -
Ok, I ran my first Mayhem Mission using Rayefire, my level 30 Fire/EA brute.
Totally missed all the sidequests, had a named Hero boss (not a vindicator). He beat me up the first time, I had to go back to get him. I don't think I'd like these as much if I had to fight EBs.
Biggest complaints:
1. Flashbang grenades. I have 2 Acc SO's in every attack. I hit 4 insights. I missed 4 times in a row. Hit once. Missed 4 times in a row.
2. I was also glued to the ground with SS on.
Result: Not fun fighting those guys... I wanted to run around causing mayhem, but I was stuck in one place unable to hit anything because they were at range.... or because my accuracy was floored. (As a side note, I thought EA had protection against enemy debuff? If I did, it wasn't working.) -

Changed To Hit Debuffs to use the 5/10/20 Enhancement progression.
[/ QUOTE ]
Does that mean the NPC now have the new to hit system ( to hit check before level check ? )
[/ QUOTE ]
No, it means that characters that use those enhances are gimped until I7.
I'm not bitter, I swear. -

Best solution to TP foe I've heard: 5 seconds of intangibility after the port (as they're pulled through the dimensions). The target gets time to run, if they react quickly. Won't change PvE much, and will prevent a good chunk of the TP foe nonsense we're seeing now. No more porting people into minefields, full groups, or placate/AS.

I know this is pages and pages ago, but I just had an idea that I had to say.
1. I love the above idea. It's too long though - suppression kicks in at 3 seconds, and it's still possible to get out of a bad situation. A 2 second phase shift would probably still yield the desired result, without completly ruining the power.
2. This can apply to "one-shotting" as well. If a single person does X amount (90%+?) of damage within X amount (1 second) of time, they cannot cast *any* powers for 2 seconds (this wouldn't apply to already running toggles). It won't stop team ganking, but I don't think anything will. -
You know your problem was using too many words.
See, if it was Posi, he would have just said "Yes" and everyone would be done with it. -

Has anyone had problems with the Silver Mantis TF? We did it and the team was all killed when the end boss (Duvay I think) came out and killed us all (team wipe). We went to the hospital and when we returned he had despawned and we could not get him to respawn since alll defenses had been taken down.

He flies very very high in the sky. At least that's what my teammates told me after I logged out. I was to tired to wait for an answer to a petition. -

For those players who have reached the Salvage Limit with one or more pieces:
Is your SG capable of making a Worktable so you can consume some of that Salvage into the raw material? (Raw material has a limit of 99 currently).
[/ QUOTE ]
As a leader of a relatively large SG, I can tell you what we've got.
Currently we have 2 full rosters on CoH, and one half-full roster on CoV. They all have approxamately the same amount of prestige (Villains is a bit higher, due to the lower levels of the group and popularity- staying in SG mode is much more doable when you're still earning infamy).
We've bought:
1 Energy Room (smallest one)
1 Workshop (smallest one)
1 Control Room (smallest one)
1 Basic Worktable (Arcane)
We're a little more than halfway to buying an Energy Crystal (we have about 130,000 prestige, need 225,000), and then we'll need to buy a Control generator after that. So we still need about 195,000 prestige.
I predict that we'll have the Prestige to outfit our base with a working table about a week and a half from now. -

but I can't agree with the 'you have to be teamed if you want a badge' reasoning.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, that's how the game was made. Sorry, you want the badge, you should have teamed. You would have gotten both the badge and better XP for it.
You're talking about a solo scrapper/defender/whatever against a giant monster. Seriously, the scrapper didn't take him down, and of course he almost died, I mean, it's a GIANT MONSTER. -
No it won't. You (your team) have to do 20% of the damage to the giant monster (I believe) in order to recieve a badge. This is to prevent someone flying overhead, zapping one hit on the monster, and then leaving and getting the badge.
No risk, no reward.
As to the OP, yeah, you should have asked for an invite into the team. For every monster I've helped with, I've received a badge just because I join teams every single time. -
Ah... To pick just one
Well, you said hot, so here's Dinah Simon showing off her party/glamour clothes in Virtue's Atlas Park.
I'm ready for my close up
Looking at Atlas -
I actually have one issue that I haven't seen addressed yet.
Have you considered what to do about groups wearing out others?
i.e.
Some group with some infinite amount of money (don't kid yourself, somehow someone will get enough to do this).
They schedule a raid for every day in the future at their earliest convienence. They then do not show up (or bring in one person who doesn't try to win or doesn't care.. or bring in some martyr or something).
They do this for as long as it takes to get the IoP with no real competition.
The defender now is permanantly scarred from base raids and never wants to participate again.
The offender eventually obtains all of the IoPs, and merely plays against the NPCs that occasionally attack.
Yes, this has happened before. The offender eventually got banned for "going against the spirit of the game" but the company lost many a subscription because the game was not fun, but only scheduled raids (that the offender didn't really show up to).
Maybe have a clause where the offender has to do some (tangible 1/4-1/2 maybe?) amount of damage to the force field in order to attack again so soon?
