I got the Cyborg, Science and Magic. Couldn't get the mac pack, fraud.

Quote:Wait what??
That stopped being the case with the UK version of Top Gear at least 5 years ago.
Really? Is that when they stopped doing as many serious reviews and just started being idiots etc? I haven't watched the last couple of series, not sure why, just didn't feel able to make the time too. -
Quote:If you click buy it'll give you a list of the accounts you can apply it to before you pay, meaning you can check if the account you want it for has it.So... It'd be useful if there was a way to tell which boosters I already have by looking at my NCsoft account. Now I'll have to wait until I'm home
I got the 3 packs for my second account, but got fraud suspicion on my attempt at the mac pack -
Quote:^ This really. Exactly what I was thinking. Great start to Monday.Steelclaw, I am not understanding how any of this disqualifies you to be a Developer. If anything, it may put current Dev job holders in danger of a pink slip!
(Of course, now I have probably given you an idea about giving Lord Recluse a pink silky undergarment or something...)

Quote:If the car companies have a say on the reviews this show is doomed to failure. It's the strength of the show as a motoring show and if the presenters have to be all namby pamby about it no matter how good the chemistry it won't work.As for the commercial sponsorship issue, I think it's going to be a big hindrance for the hosts. Their reviews of the cars weren't as critical as the Brits', and I think there's going to be more political correctness to avoid pissing off the sponsors. We've already seen that American car companies don't like how critical Top Gear is of them (notably when Hammond had to buy the Challenger SRT8 for the muscle car special because Chrysler wouldn't lend him one). UKTG can get away with it because they're not funded by commercials, but USTG doesn't have that luxury.

Quote:Why wait till 50? A nemisis is born from constant struggle. You fight your whole lives with neither really getting the upper hand. This should be implimented early.Okay, so then.
-Needs worthwhile rewards
-Needs at least basic customisation
-Needs basic control over where/when/why/who
-Possible options of the Arch-Nemesis being NPC or player controlled
The way I can see this working is you talk to a contact either at level 50 or maybe after doing your first Alignment mission so it's set in stone, you do a few tutorial missions.. I can picture that you go to check some security footage of someone who stole information on your from Freedom Corps/Arachnos (glowie, no enemies), then you have to recreate what you saw (Arch-Nemesis creation) so you can get a positive ID on them, then you track them down and have you first fight with the new enemy, ending wth them teleporting out at the last second, 1 or 2 reward merits on completion.
I like your way of setting it up though. Maybe an arc at level 5. You duck into the arc and at the end see 'something' flash out and you have to recreate what you saw. The you track them down and find more information out about them (setting up powers, name etc) before confronting them and leading to their first defeat. These should be tough. And if you have to are defeated by the Nemisis and have to exit to rez then you lose. I feel a nemisis has to have the ability to defeat you occasionally, sets more tension for them.
Maybe they can also appear randomly in arcs to cause you trouble, but their are specific arcs that set you against them as EBs. -
Quote:Imagine my, well...shock, when about a dozen plus people laid into me DEFENDING the RMT people. I was told that I was worse than they were, repeatedly, for (translating from the ae monkey-farming speak) "criticizing new players."
RMTers are players too...
Weird, very weird. -
Just on the Set Bonuses, if you have a range of levels slotted in one power it removes each of the bonuses as get 3 levels lower than each of the IOs. For example
Your IO's levels are
20, 22, 28, 35, 45, 50
At:
50 - 5 set bonuses
46 - 4 set bonuses
41 - 3 set bonuses
31 - 2 set bonuses
24 - 1 set bonus
19 - No bonuses
However, the enhancement value of each will still work (although i think they are scaled somewhat) -

Quote:Just rolled my first TA/A and up to level 13 so far. Wicked fun.So I decided to make another Fender - he is TA/A (I like Archery, what can I say?#. He is only level 8 so far but already decided that he can fit in well with my own play style. I'm already looking forward to Disruptor Arrow + Acid Arrow + Oil Slick + Blazing Arrow #and I may even chuck in RoA in at the end just for the sheer hell of it!)

Those reasons were the ones I was thinking of when I asked the question but wasn't sure of the rules pertaining to talking about them. It's nuts that players have to work so hard to give money to NCSoft. Is it all of South America? Or just certain countries?
-
Quote:So, out of curiosity, if a SA player traveled to the US they would get access to the store as per normal and be able to purchase them as we do?People with South American IP addresses are blocked from the PlayNC store entirely. Even as a North American player, you would still be unable to buy Booster Packs if you moved to South America, as your IP would be blocked from the store.
It's kind of the same way as how we Europeans always get defaulted to EU versions of the PlayNC sites, only in the case of South American players, they don't have ANY option to switch to the NA store. As I said - I have friends who've had this problem, and there was no "good" solution that any of us could come up with.
Weird, and sucky.
/signed... either force the supplier to provide the boosters or allow their purchase. -
Quote:Good luck with this Beef Cake.I personally use Mid's on a daily basis. It's almost as if it's part of my gameplay. So I have no doubt they'll find a correction for this issue, if they haven't already. Either way, I planned on making all new builds anyway. I just hope they have the Incarnate system built into it as well! I look forward to their new build of Mid's
Honestly, I doubt I will get into the stats as Hero Stats does, I don't want to step on anyone's toes. Which honestly is the reason why I never ventured into making our own tracking program a long time ago. -

Slightly smaller than this:

as some were layed off about 6 weeks ago or so and the page hasn't been updated. -
Quote:We need to quit dilluting the dissappointing state of this announcement and recent trends of this game with this bickering when it's obvious one of us just doesn't want to open up to facts and common-sense.
Lol, I agree with the last part, but I don't find this announcement, or the recent trends of the game, dissapointing. But hey, each to their own. -
Quote:Am I imagining seeing this, but do they not also move backwards? Then they enabled night shadows from the moon. And if you think the shadows in the day moved quickly, you should have seen the shadows try to track a moon from horizon to horizon in 10 minutes.
And so, my suggestion was a static moon-shadow-scape divorced from the movement of the moon. But what they did something similar: They created a moonshadow that tracked a non-visible moon that simply rotated about 20 degrees from the zenith. -
You are clearly right. The Devs decided not to even look into a problem with their new issue for 3 months and then fixed it in a week.
-
Quote:Maybe that the patches you saw were the end result of the 3 months work? That it could have taken that long for them to track the cause of the issue? What's there to acknowledge?
I think someones failing to comprehend.
If they REALLY had been looking into the root of the problem as you're saying then nowhere in that 3 months would they not have corrected the issue of how inherent fitness interacted with your character and put the right patch in like they did a week later once they WERE looking into it?
If they had reason to suspect there was gamebreaking issues with toons and were working on fixing inherent fitness would they not have held up that first patch to test if they were already reworking it? Would they not have solicited ideas, like they were the past week, on beta this whole time if they had not been ignorant of the issue to ATs inherents to get it right before it went to open testing? -
Quote:I give up, you fail to acknowledge that something you see in a patch likey has been in the works for longer than a day or two.The work around was to completely change how fitness was inherent. It's good to know that they can be completely befuddled about something, have no insight, then in a weeks time figure out the root of the problem and redo how inherent fitness became available. Seems like they have gotten a lot accomplished in one week if they weren't ignoring it all of these 3 months, patching the way how fitness was faulty just one week previous.
-
Quote:Again, you are assuming they ignored it. So it took 2 patches to sort out. It still could have taken 3 months to find the cause, find a work around, internally test it, release it, discover it didn't work, figure out why, test it again. We only see the end results of this process. There is a shedload going on in the background that we don't see.A patch to open testing went through on the weekend prior to the 16th. Then a week later they get a patch with the situation corrected once they realized things weren't right. So within one weeks time they were able to figure out what was going on how? Because it was a major bug that had huge implications and now they had to listen and fix it, if they had taken it seriously throughout the 3 months or so previous during their closed beta that it was reported and asked for insight just like they did this past week sometime within those months then maybe it would have been fixed and we'd be celebrating on the 16th-ish that i19 was released, not after thanksgiving-ish.
All this has me looking forward to i20 in 2011-ish! -
-
Quote:Ummm, what? Clearly they were listening to the guy complaining about his kheldian seeing as they delayed the release cos of it and had the patch out for it pretty quickly after. You seem to be assuming that the bug was ignored until the last minute when it's more likely they we unable to find the cause easily, or fix it easily, and so had to delay. And that's the problem!
If they actually did give this person's bug report serious consideration can be left open to discussion another time.
It's the fact that they are making it much harder on themselves than they have to if they actually were trying to fix it themselves. It's not until they focused on it and solicited many peoples insight did they finally get an understanding that the inherents messed with the already auto functions available to ATs. Maybe they should solicit MORE player feedback, outside of just the fanboi's and girl, to see what direction that they should head their game. But their attempts at that usually end up in the rubble that is now PvP.
