there are a lot more "skippable" powers in devices than tagerting drone. You can never have too much accuracy on a blaster.
-
for stalkers now, shadow meld > hibernate bc there is no sense in having hiber and conceal, it's a waste unless you want to be a bad stalker and just BU+sharks instead of playing how a stalker should (BU+AS). Plus throwing sharks roots ur stalker and if I see you throwing sharks I'm goin to AS ur stalker. Also shadow meld will make people miss you so when you pop invis, it will be as good as phase since their attacks won't suppress ur invis and you will be ale to get into hide faster, thus makin you more survivable.
btw, great choice on /wp if ur gonna pvp -
I don't have mids atm since I'm using my phone, but I have a fire/dev I use for pvp that works well. Psy/em is really beast mode atm but if ur set on devices you'll do decent but not great. The in set stealth and perception help the set out. Caltrops are good for making a stalker or veat lose hide bc trops are un resistable. Web nade is great for disruption. Your sets are gonna be; fitness, ss, sj, and leadership. I'll post a build for ya later.

hm...fire scrps are def beast mode. But regen has dp, and fast healing along with reconstruction plus it doesn't have to worry about kb bc of integration, fire has to have specific powers just to slot for kb. They're both good, but regen is not as tight of a set as fire is.

tru WARRIRIR that live by bushidokaratemonkeysquat code. Toe to toe is how they eat breakfast!!!!!!!

I go pew pew pew, and from the shadows will emerge the great banana man that never uses inspires. They sharpen their swords with the skulls of bad guys that have travel powers and use inspires. Nom nom nom ftw pew pew pew and alas....he will be victorious

Quote:wow, you quoted me and in the first sentence of the quote I was talkin about him being attacked by multiple scrpsI'm pretty sure that kid said they only died to scrappers when it was more than one. Read closer and check your facts pl0x.
also, if you die to multiple stalkers, does that make u bad? I don't think it does.
and
Quote:..Maybe you don't understand how terrible a lot of Scrappers are, but the scrappers I fight? About 1 in 8 has taunt. :l -
also all a scrapper has to do is use taunt, and those amazing death blows that are a million times better than scrapper attacks aren't going to work. so....yea, anything else?
-
I find it hard to believe your running around massacring scrps on a sonic/pain. Sonic is all -res and has a decent stun when u pb screech, most scrps aren't built on res, they're built on regen.
Tell me, were you abused as a child by a scrp and now hate them? I don't even like scrps, but im not gonna sit here and say they're all bad and they can't kill anyone. Just like there's bad scrps, there is bad ranged toons that get killed by scrps.
Also, when two scrps alone are attacking you, heal decay is gonna nerf your heals, so your story about easily healing yourself against scrp crits doesn't hold up if you're fighting multiple scrps. Maybe in Sirens you have a good ole time against lvl 35 scrps, thats not gonna happen in RV. Smells like BS, mixed in with haterade -
Ninjas are pretty much the only set you dont see in RV. Therm for MM in pvp is nice mostly bc of HE, and melt armour, and you also get a self heal, and ally heal. Pain dom isn't going to kill as much bc you don't have near the same debuffing tools, but youre going to die a lot less on a pain dom mm.
If you going to use your mm for zones, anything but FF is prob the way to go. -
-
hmm...scrappers with sharks isn't gonna be fun, scrps already have the little man complex. Also some people make their scraps into pseudo blasters with fire epic.

Quote:bingo. So, it's pointless to soft cap a stalker for PvP because of DR and it would gimp my build?
Blasters, trollers, fenders, corrs, mm's, and doms get whacked with the DR bat the hardest.
also since DR hits def so hard SR is sub par for pvp. The two best in pvp for stalkers these days is wp and regen, I would put Wp in first bc they can cap perception bc of in set + perception bonus. Regen stalkers are just ridiculously hard to die on. You have to be a little more careful with a wp stalker bc they don't have dull pain. -
it would take a lot of money to bribe a dev to get rid of DR. If you maxed out everything in order to get ranged def bonus, the rest of ur toon would suffer considerably. Tbh, a stalker doesn't really need def, nor does it need the fitness pool. Stay at least 10ft away from veats, and when you feel like it BU+AS, invis then run. The second you break hide, you should be escaping to get into hide again.
I'm guessin you left around i13, the game is drastically different from then. I took one of my pve blasters that is softcapped s/l, just to see what a softcapped blaster's def becomes after DR, once I got into RV my s/l def went from 45.6 down to 18.6.....the same will happen to ur stalker if you try to softcap his def. -
Fluff and Neeto hit it on the head. For scrps Regen>>>>>>>>>>>>>Elec, but if you really liked the elec set, it goes well with tanks bc they have SS with perma rage or brutes which are SS/elec.
-
um, dont mean to be a creeper, but i wanna watch, lol
-
maybe finish ur rad/em. Ill/rad and ur ice troller can be good but if it's ur first pvp ur gonna have a steep learning curve. The spine/nin is meh. Spines for stalkers is good but nin is meh.
-
bs is good, but elec on a scp, not so much. If you like the elec set roll a elec/ss tank. Or you could do a quick search and find that psi/em's are beast mode. If you have something against fotm toons (not sure why you would) roll a fire/em. If you like being sneaky, sneaky, roll a elec/wp stalker.

-
lol i hope a therm hits you with HE then phases and waits for you to have no endurance. I dont have any TRU WARIRIR toons, but someone needs to kill this guy already
-
Ok, my personal pref for a zone fire/ss is to only 1 slot hasten, but if you would rather lose 28hp to 3 slot hasten, you can take 2 karmas out of stealth and put it in hasten. glhf
