  1. I won't come up with any snappy names or titles, seems too narcissistic to me. I'm best known for Dark Armor knowledge/experience and I'm likely the most vocal Cloak of Fear advocate.

I am a HUGE scrapper fan. I can't play any other AT for extended periods of time without a massive craving to switch to a scrapper and go ape **** on every mob in sight. Dark Armor and Will Power are my favorite secondaries, though I usually steer clear of Will Power discussions.
  2. Yeah, basically none of the old links work. I checked and my DM/DA guide is still there, but the http address changed, so the link was broken. I updated the link in my sig, but all the guide directories are now wrong.

Anyone compiling a list for this?

I didn't see the downwards-arrow to click on for newest/unread post, so at least that doesn't suck.....and now my delete key is working in this text box but didn't an hour+ ago.

Gonna disagree with this. Many other gaming forums seem capable of handling img tagging. In general terms, CoH forum users are more mature.

    New forums!

Well this will take getting used to....looks cool anyways.
  5. Posting on behalf of Madame Pistacio.

Unforeseen delays will cause her to be late to Fight Night or possibly absent entirely.

You must not watch very many horror movies.....or the news....of follow the economy....or...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nope....only if I have to...I only work one day a week...but notice how I said "forum thing"? Of course it's not on the scale of anything else.

I was going to post a mean link, but decided against. Be happy I like you!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I suck at the smilies. It really hurts to intent of my posts.

On a side note, I am happy you like me.

I took the message to be we will have a two hour outage on the current boards on Monday

    [/ QUOTE ]

Did I misunderstand the announcement? Thought the forums would go down at any time during the two hour period and not return for 72 hours? In other words, no forums for 3 days?
  10. Was able to pick up a Numina's and Miracle Uniques aswell as a Blessing of the Zephyr. With any luck my bid for a Theft of the Essense PROC will go through before the end of the week. All in all, a very profitable run for me. Thanks DC.
  11. Since it comes at the end of the DoT it's very easy to miss.

And what happens when the character has more salvage than open slots at the market?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Same thing that happens now, you get a notice that your market slots are full. Currently, this already occurs in the reverse.
  13. I can't imagine this hasn't been suggested before, but I'm on the off chance, I'm gonna suggest it anyways.

Can we have an option to drop all of the salvage we are carrying on the market? Duping into storage bins would be nice too. On the market, everything can default to "stored" and players can then go back and enter in selling priced individually.

    ITF Question

    [ QUOTE ]
    Why split them?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, we really didn't spilt them. Romi couldn't take all the pain we were handing to him so he jumped off the platform breaking los right before he droped the 2nd time. That left two nictus behind. The reason we had an issue the first time when we just charged him was because we thought we could ignore the ambush. Wrong!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sorry, the OP sounded like he was intentionally trying to split them up. The group I typically team with doesn't try to split them. We've found Romulus is easier to take down than the Nictus themselves. It's usually faster just to take out Rommy all 4 times, splitting them means having to attack the Nictus directly.

Ugh Des, even with a great IO build my broadsword/dark loathes those buggers. Sure, I can kill a spawn, with a combination of build, skill, and luck on spawn organization/placement, but it's just not worth it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Keep in mind I'm refuting Rieze's claim that an IO'd out Dark Armor scrappr would get gutted, something just disagree with. I wasn't suggesting that they were easy. My DM/DA heavily IO'd so she handles them fairly well. My BS/DA on the other hand, I haven't IO'd out and she fairs poorly against them.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
In all honesty. It wouldn't have mattered if he had a true /DA build IOed out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is a tad bit of an exaggeration. I won't claim Rularuu Overseerers will ever be easy, but I well IO'd out /DA character shouldn't get gutted. Granted that assumes you have Dark Regneration, this "toggle man" concept is a big challenge onto it's self. I will say I find CoF very useful against them, but you've got to move into melee range very quickly, as Overseerers have crazy range on their energy blasts.

    [ QUOTE ]
Those overseers would of still gutted him. I got on my BS/WP scrapper to go hunt them for the badge once. The overseers where blue or green to me and everything else was grey. I figured it would be a walk in perez park. Wrong!! This was in FBZ. Who knows how bad it would have been in chantry. People do RWZ challenges.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Strategy plays a big role in fighting Rularuu. For Overseers, it means not letting them peg you from a distance, as -defense will stack very quickly. Agro-ed mobs won't close in on you, they prefer to peg you from range.

    [ QUOTE ]
I'd like to see a storm place challenge. Lol

    [/ QUOTE ]

Storm Palace Challenge replaced RCS challenges. The problem with these is the lack of +4 spawns. Storm Palace Challenge really isn't much of a challenge on a decent IO build. Granted, come I16 all this is out the window.
  17. OH cool, A tanker perspective?

I'll be reading this more carefully when I get home.

Surprise surprise you going elec melee/da

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well I gotta complete the set
  19. I was actully hoping for Electric Melee. I've already begun purchasing the IOs for my new Elec/DA scrapper
  20. [ QUOTE ]

I think they will differ so much in playstyle thats it's too hard to compare...just go with what you want...i'm sure you won't be dissappointed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have played both DM/WP (lvl 44) and DB/DA (lvl 50) and I'm gonna agree with these two statements. The playstyle for these two builds differ dramatically.
  21. Well, one of my all time favorite fight scenes comes from Jackie Chan's [u]Who Am I[u]. Not a great movie but the Rooftop fight sequence is one of the best I've ever scene.

In the same vein, Jet Li did some amazing work in [u]Kiss of the Dragon[u]. In this best scenes montage we see some unusual techniques including my all time favorite "clothe iron melee". Scrimmage sticks scene rocks as well.

For all out scrapper attitude, it's hard to top Blade vs Nomak (WARNING: Gory scene). Great combonination of martial art skill and all out rage.

I rarely see folks talk about [u]Chocolate[u]. For those who've never scene it, the premise is an autistic girl who learns martial arts by watching too much bad television. The actual plot is more complex but fight scenes are some of the best I've scene.
  22. [ QUOTE ]

I stopped playing three years back (as the reg date of my account will verify) before there were veteran rewards, so I didn't even have a chance to know that I'd get something for staying subscribed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

CoH has been sending out info regarding updates via e-mails for as long as I can remember. Even if you leave the game, if you have any inkling you might return later, it's a good idea to keep your e-mail info up to date on your NCSoft management info.

I still get e-mails from games I have left. When something and interesting comes out, I can decide if it's worth returning to the game for.

    [ QUOTE ]
If I pay $10-15 extra dollars a month, why shouldn't I get double credit for veteran rewards? Or just a flat $15 a month to "catch up"?

What exactly is so threatening about allowing people that haven't been playing for five years some way to compensate NCSoft to receive the same benefit as those that have?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because just as many folks if not more would come in crying about having to buy Vet rewards. Folks are all up in arms about paying for Booster packs as it is.

It's not a question of being threatened. Veteran Rewards were designed as an incentive for being around. Allowing folks to simply buy them defeats the whole design. They're just something nifty to have. A minor reward, nothing that will give you a massive advantage over those folks that haven't been around as long. They're never supposed to be a big deal.
  23. It's not so much wether you take Weave or not, but rather do you replace that defense value elsewhere. All Weave does is reduce the amount of defense set bonuses you need to stack on. So as to 'is it good enough' reall depends on what your final defense value are.
  24. I'm in for Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday events.

I have to bow out of Friday's events or I'd never hear the end of it.
