sounds like the desktop shortcut is pointing at the wrong file right click it and see where its pointing i would guess it says ""C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" if you installed using the defaults.

where it should point is "C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.eu.exe" so what to do is just create a shortcut to this file instead.

Close, but its more likely the updater is named incorrectly, changing the shortcut is step 2, step 1 is to rename the updater from cohupdater to cohupdater.eu

1) Nah the Phant is a perma pet, once you summon him he hangs around till you zone. So slot it with a pet damadge set, use Blood Mandate if your strapped for cash, Soulbound Allegiance if you have spare.
