Hi guys, welcome aboard; I'll put you as a reserve, Xem, is that ok?
I've decided running the whole Harvey Maylor story arc, as we did with the Fakies hunt, instead of running and farming the same mission all the time, which could make us to get bored of it; anyway, as I typed in the OP, I'm open to suggestions.
Team Roster so far:
- Tialfi (lvl 50 stone/axe tanker),
- Night Wolf (lvl 50 Claws/Regen Scrapper),
- Clawd Butcher (lvl 50 Claws/Regen scrapper)
Reserve:
- Feist (lvl 50 force field controller)
Come on, 4-5 free spots left! -
nah, it hasn't worked, already seen the BSOD again because of this bloody nv4_disp (sigh).
-
Hi guys, I'm back and ready for a bit of fun looking for this badge needed for "Archmage" accolade, and "Eye of the Magus" power; as you may remember, 500 illusionist decoys are needed for obtain it.
We will be running trough Ouroboros the Harvey Maylor story arc (details below):
Story arc's Name: Upon the Psychic Plane
- Contact: Harvey Maylor (Peregrine)
- lvl: 45 - 50
- missions: 20 (14 indoor, 2 hunt, 4 talk)
Another option would be running the Carnival performance missions, checking its lvl and making the sk / exem needed.
That's why I fix the 16th of September as the date and not earlier, I'm open to suggestions so we can run it smoothly like silk.
The only sure thing is the toon I'll play, my stone/axe tanker, Tialfi.
Suggestions and lineup, post below. -
You can try this:
/macro Fly "$$e flypose4$$e flypose3$$e flypose2$$e flypose1$$autorun 1$$powexectoggleON Fly"
It will create a new button for you, and each time you press it, your toon will change from a flying pose to another one.
For Peacebringers, this macro ends with "Energy Flight" instead of "Fly".
I hope it's useful for you. -
grats spaniard, well done! It's weird thinking on you playing anything different from a scrapper lol!
-
I noticed something weird last evening; I checked my drivers version, and saw that nv4_disp wasn't signed by Nvidia (??).
After half an hour looking for information on the internet, I found out a way to update my driver by using the control panel of my OS (XP Professional), and since then my driver version (175.19, btw) is signed, and now, whilst playing, my screen is working intermittently, but no blues screens yet.
I'll update it with any change that could happen. -
So what's the version we should install, FFM? I've been out on holiday a whole month and now I'm back I've been able to play regularly both Friday and Saturday, but my old blue screen loop nv4_disp screen came back again along the Sunday afternoon, about 4-5 times.
I'm running Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9300, 2,50 GHz, 2 GB RAM, XP Professional SP 3, and, if I'm not mistaken, after several changes of drivers, the 175.19 ones. And my pc was bought in May, btw. -
Lovely! The 1st thing I read on the internet just coming back from holiday is the Issue 13 announcement! HUZZAH!

We knew NorCal needed to do something special with DCUO and CO on the horizon - if NCNC can deliver over half of the stuff on that list then I don't think they have anything to worry about. [u] They'll just need a marketing push to drag in some new players [u]
[/ QUOTE ]
This has been discussed from time to time; I remember a recent thread questioning why there was a WoW announcement in the CoX wikia, and I also posted a few months ago that in my country (Spain) I could see lots of trials and different editions of WoW, but there were hardly any boxes of CoV on sale in game stores, and these boxes were the same edition I bought when CoV was released, no new editions nor updated content; I know there are restrictions on trial accounts because of the spammers and influence/infamy sellers, but it could be a good idea a massive merchandising and advertising campaign in order to raise the player base. -
It's cool anyway, even being a temp power; I'd guess it will be released somewhere near Halloween, like the last year.

8. Creators can include their own character as a contact within the mission(s)

It seems interesting, creating a mission where my defender is an hostage, and my tanker tries to rescue him, I hope it works like this... What I haven't found any reference at all (excuse I haven't read the full thread) is if it's possible creating a mission where the bad guys is any of my villains so I could fight him with any of my heroes or vice versa (I'd like to see fighting my tanker against my brute, or my rad troller vs. my rad corr). -
I think the problem (sorry if any of you have already pointed it, I haven't read all your posts) is the fact that most of the freaks come back to life, it's not only that you earn lots of xp if you set your reputation higher, as usual no matter the enemy you find, but also freaks missions are like playing Double XP all the time because of their resurrections.
Besides, they don't have any debuffer or buffer like Sky Raiders, CoTs, Tsoos, and so on. -
I'd like to know the recipe of that donut.... Awesome Nette!

According to your info, this is what Paragonwiki says:
Story arc's Name: Upon the Psychic Plane
- Contact: Harvey Maylor (Peregrine)
- lvl: 45 - 50
- missions: 20 (14 indoor, 2 hunt, 4 talk)
Besides, I've found another one:
Story arc's name: To Save a Soul
- Contact: Madeleine Casey (Founders Falls)
- lvl: 40 - 44
- missions: 16 (8 indoor, 2 hunt, 6 talk) -

- Frostwork and/or Heat Loss (I haven't played any cold corr or defender, but got some friends that have enjoyed with them, they say these powers are great).
[/ QUOTE ]
This made me laugh a bit.
You pick these as the powers *YOU* think are best, but neevr used em yourself, but rather basing it on what other players say.
Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose with the thread?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not exactly; it's true I can't tell you if they were funny by using them, but teammates used them on me, and they were quite useful. Never mind, going back to the purpose of this thread, I could change them and pick Psionic Tornado instead. -
No special order:
- Thunderous Blast (in my opinion, best nova ever, you can use it as another ranged attack, no need to use it in the middle of a mob, very useful for running away).
- Lightning Rod (best brute attack).
- Howling Twilight (the ultimate multi-rezzer, everybody will love you during a RWZ Mothership Raid).
- EM pulse (combined with Glacier it helps a lot against a mob).
- Fulcrum Shift (as its description says, it helps changing the tide of a battle).
- Frostwork and/or Heat Loss (I haven't played any cold corr or defender, but got some friends that have enjoyed with them, they say these powers are great).
- Granite Armor (best tanker/brute armor ever). -
thx alez, it's pity you couldn't come, it was even funnier this time, I don't know the reason but there were much more fakies spawning on every single mission we ran last night in comparison to the Monday ones.
I think only Sarg missed both "Unveiler" and "Freedom Phalanx" accolade (owing to the fact of those Monday crashes, at least your stability has improved, no crashes at all, grats!).
As some of you suggested last night, I could be interested in running another story arc hunt in September, this time focused on Illusionists; I don't know yet what toon to bring, as I got fed up with them when I did it using my empath loooong ago and I swore "Never again!".
I won't be able to play until the end of August, but depending on the amount of stuff I'll have to do, I'll be checking forums and paragonwiki, so I'll be looking for a carnies story arc interesting enough for it. -
Is it ok for all of you starting 8:30 p.m. UK this time?
We will re-start with a "Board Train" mission, and remember that there will be some Council missions along the story arc, Nosferatu included; otherwise, last 2-3 missions must have lots of Fakes (the last one is called "Take down the Prussian Prince of Automatons").
Anyway, if any of us need more Fakies, we could try Uther's mission after finishing this story arc, or even starting Serpent Drummer or Dark Watcher story arcs, both of them have Fakes on their first missions.
PS: nice Eden last night, it was my 1st attempt and it went smooth as silk. -
Thank you all for showing up last night; it was such fun, earning several badges along both story arcs!
This is for SolarStorm and Macsecs: we will carry on the 2nd Maxwell Christopher story arc (we stopped playing more or less in the 7th - 8th mission out of 16) the next Thursday night, because some of the teammates couldn't play on Wednesday, and Sarg and me are busy tonight with the Eden trial, I hope you can come back and earn this badge; in fact none of us earned it, but the progress bar worked quite well (for instance, in the last mission we played there were 10 Fakes).
I made my progress bar move from:
- "e" in <<Defeat 100 fak"e" Nemesis robots to earn this badge>>
- to "a" in <<Defeat 100 fake Nemesis robots to e"a"rn this badge>>
-
Found what was not working, and it was me (
)... I simply used the wrong door and entered the real Midnight Club instead the mission one, that's why I couldn't find any glowie lol... Nvm, I got now Thief of Midnight and a couple of Ouroboros badges.
-
I know, but watching you were hunting down several GMs, and you were lucky enough to find the Paladin construction site, maybe I can join you in anocher occasion.
-
Hi Sarg, welcome aboard!
K then, so we have full team now:
- Tialfi (tanker),
- Evangel (blaster),
- Midnight Protector (controller)
- Lupine (tanker) / Rumpella (controller)
- Uther Dracus (scrapper)
- SolarStorm (WS)
- Macsecs (controller)
- Draconian blade (scrapper)
I'll see you in Ouroboros at 8:45 p.m. BST so we can get inspirations. -
[ QUOTE ]
Same here - I suspect you may be looking in the wrong place. IIRC the glowies are in the caverns under the Midnight Club, accessed via a door in the club
[/ QUOTE ]
I came in the caverns but there were no glowies at all, only armors and midnighters moving up and down. I quitted and played with another toon, I'll try again this afternoon.
