Quote:I usually narrow it down a little (inconsistently), by level or stars or various things, and then pick something that the description looks interesting for.
Bubbawheat gets the easy answer:
So, I ask you, when you decide to stop into the AE building, how do you decide which arc to play? Do you look at the first couple pages and pick a short arc? Do you search for something you're interested in? Do you look through the descriptions or just the titles? Or, do you do a little research and pop into the AE forum and look for something to catch your interest? Or do you search for the current farm trend? -

Nite Wraith waits backstage:
OMD!!!!! (Oh My Darwin) was that sarcasm or an invite LOL!!!??? -
And if I get what Gilgamesh may be asking in part, there are no missions in the game currently that support more than 8 people on a team.

Golden Girl reveals herself:
Broccoli's gross - there are loads of alternatives that actually tatse nice -
I don't collect them to collect them, but I'm loving how the new ones are rounding out some of my characters. Hand Grenades and Pistol really added to the flavor my AR/Dev WW II military hero Sergeant Shatter, for instance.

Quote:Mine usually tastes a lot like salt and butter.
Gaming_Glen goes for the tasteless mutation:
There's actually ANY flavor in broccoli? -

Personally, I thought it was hilarious, as funny as my Athiest version of the 'When god was giving out brains, you were in the toilet' insult.

Okay you twisted my arm"When Evolution was writing the human genetic code it got to you and made a typo!!"... BOOM BOOM...
No? Oh alright then -

One of my characters is supposed to be a chatty wisecracker. Think Deadpool or Spider-man. Point is, I want to set up a keybind to have him spout random wisecracks with a single button, from a set list.
I know it's possible to set up a cycling bind through /bindloadfile, so I could go through several phrases in a preset order. What I want to do is set up a randomized version, pulling a random phrase from the list each time. So, the question is: Is that possible, and how can I do it?
Quote:Okay, the first thing you do is create a directory to store your bind files... I use C:\keybinds and seperate it into each character.
Then each bind is set up in a txt file like so:
numpad2 "say I will not buy this record... It is scratched!$$bind_load_file c:\keybinds\Character1\quip002.txt"
The bit at the end references the next file and loads it, replacing the current one when it's over.
In game just type /bind_load_file C:\keybinds\character1\quip001.txt and it will be ready to go.
Just remember to reference the first file at the end of the last file so that it will rotate back to start.
The rest of the bind can be anything at all, as long as it would normally bind in game... it can be bound this way too.
Like I said, it's a lot easier than I thought it would be... I have my files set up so that numpad1 activates the Taunt00x.txt files, and numpad2 activates the Quip00x.txt files. I can potentially have up to 999 of each this way.
Do you want to come back to my place bouncy bouncy? -
Quote:Thanks! Yes, Virtual Lad is merely a Paragon City child playing AE, in his special gloves, boots and helmet. His mother insists that he be accompanied by an old rickety clockwork babysitter called H.A.R.O.L.D. (Human Adolescent Restriction Of Liberties Device). He's not allowed to set foot in any of the old hazard zones and if some enemy shoots at him as he rushes by from AE to WW, he has to flee. It's a lot of fun!
Eva Destruction approves of Virtual Lad:
That is an awesome concept for an AE toon.

One of the possibilities is 616, which Alan Moore gave to the Marvel Universe as a bit of a sly joke.
-
Meh, things are overrated. I'm seriously interested in those dealies!
-
Heh, Sam, Sam, Sam...you really need to lighten up. Most likely scenario is that it's just a coincidence.
-
Oh, I doubt it was, too. I also believe the OP doubts it, as well. Just a gag.
-
I don't know, but it has nothing to do with his point.
EDIT: But, yes, I would assume it's with enhancement, then. -
It's more a comment on the "666" being the "Sign of the Beast", Sam.
-
Yeah, you don't think he actually believes us, do you? He was told the devs weren't raising the cap several times and ignored it, so why would he change his mind now?
-
Heh, I guess. To me "dirty" includes actual dirt/filth of some sort. Messy's just a lot of stuff sitting around. But, no matter, it was just a sidebar so carry on!
-
This is why I created Virtual Lad. He's playing a video game and is quite aware of it.

Quote:WoW is mostly outside. CoH is mostly inside. You don't see the people playing here because they're mostly in instances. Infinity's one of those that rotate in and out of the third spot on the list and it's hardly dead. But if you WANT the big crowds under Atlas, your best bet is Virtue or Freedom.
Gilgamesh wants crowds:
Thanks for your help guys!
BTW, i see... or i barely see some "real" people out there. is my server
with low population or what?
When i played WoW, the noobz area where full o people.
Do you recomend me to change to other server?
im in Infinity -
Quote:I don't think the goal is to bring back old players, but rather to give current (and future) ones something to do with their 50s.
Lonelyshade makes me sort through his garble:
We just see what they will do attract people , stuffing in extra powers without extra grinding . isnt really what will bring back old players .
Quote:Thats a no goal in progress . if it brings in new players fine . one of the success stories of mmo is the raise in levels .
Quote:If they going to give us free powers without us having the need to level up just log in .
Then we will be bored in no time .
Quote:People here have zillions of alts , and every alt 10 levels up is paid time playing .
Would be silly not to raise levels for money sake ,sorry money talks and ******** walks .
You can´t run a game on good intentions alone .
Quote:Well my speculation is on 10 more levels or atleast 5 , so we all enter the level race again .
Quote:the rest is up to them to decide what they want to do .
But holding onto 50 will be funny since some people have 10 toons at 50 , wouldn´t offer anything but a quick respec , and quick boredom again .
Even if switching sides will be fun , there isn´t much that you can do after a while .
Quote:10 more levels ads new combinations and is more time consuming .
Thats what people pay for in the end , no matter the whines to keep them bussy . -
Quote:Um...I like it? I dunno, I haven't had much time for it since coming back in Jan (had a broken computer for six months and am doing a lot of catch-up), but I've been through a few. I like the stories, don't give a crap about xp or tickets except for Virtual Lad, who is leveling from 1-50 there the normal way (his mom won't let him fight real criminals...he's only 12!
Marcian Tobay wants to know:
If you interact with the Mission Architect primarily because of its story capabilities, what are your current thoughts on it? Are you bored with it because you've played all the good stories? Happy with it because the stories are endless? Do you get a fair rotation of players?).
I'm also fully in favor of them doing whatever they need to do to drive away the exploiters, so if things get "nerfed", I'm fine with it. -
Quote:With improper punctuation and non-standard spelling and capitalization, yes, it can be very hard.
Lonelyshade gets huffy:
Oh reading is hard isn´t it we could have continued in PM . -
Likely Decorum (Inv/EM), the first hero I made in the game...sort of (I "recreated" him on Victory after starting on Virtue, where he's still at level 22, long before transfers were allowed).
-
Quote:Technically, no, the level cap is not being raised. You will still be able to go no higher than 50. The details of how exactly the Incarnate system will work are still forthcoming but they've very adamantly denied a raise in the actual level cap. Virtual/practical extra levels, but not an actual raise in the level cap.
Lonelyshade misunderstands:
Sorry you keep farming if you will keep farm the big difference is the level cap raising .
Thats new for this GR , we get finally a level cap raising , so its not the end finally .
EDIT: **nods to the more quickly typing Pyber**
