Oh, that wasn't meant in any accusatory manner. More of a lead in for me to attention-***** to tell my little story.
-
One might want to take into account whether on not one exemps a lot, though. It could make a bigger difference on, say, Posi.

Quote:And don't you DARE show up as an archer. Mine still has the "TA/Archery; no heals" tag in the team box because I got tired of showing up at missions only to get kicked when they saw me.
nunix brings back bad memories:
* If you were a defender, you were Empathy - excuse me, I mean a healer - or you did not get teams. At all. "Debuff? Never heard of it, how much can you heal?" "Forcefields? Look, do they.. do they heal me, or something? No? Learn to play, noob! *kick*" -
I think whatever "mass exodus" there was going to be happened already this winter. This one will mostly be some folks fine tuning a few characters around and people who missed this winter making room on their favorite servers for Praetorians. At least that's my wild guess.
-
**shrugs** They've added maps before. How much work it would be would probably depend on how elaborate they decided to make it. Actual full-sized realistic "Colosseum"? Probably way too much work, yes.
-
No prob. I've had them slip by me a couple of times before.

Quote:I can't say for sure, but I've always wondered if it was just coincidence that at the time they were making the game, a certain city called Metropolis was also located in RI (I think with all the changes at DC, it's in Kansas now, but I'm not sure because I quit buying comics about 4 years ago).
Terminal Velocity wonders:
Speaking of location, wonder why they chose Rhode island? -
Yeah, you're 180 degrees wrong there. Fiber loosens, it doesn't bind.

What Lovejuice said. Arena terminals are not at all restricted to the Arena buildings.
-
Look in your CoH program folder. If there's a file called "Coh.majorpatch" that's about 672 MB, you've downloaded it already.

Quote:Actually, I believe they did say the bolded part at one of the cons this summer. I'm pretty sure more slots per server is in the "possibly, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting." category.
Maniac_Raid must not have heard:
It's often been requested down in the Suggestion's and Ideas subforum, but so far we've not seen anything from the devs saying "No, we will never increase the slots per server beyond 36" or "It's not something we're looking at now, but maybe someday down the road..." -
Oh, and with $100, I'd probably put it towards my utility bill.
-
Quote:Actually, they're in L.A, so it's neither Autumn nor Fall, but Summer.
EU_Damz gets all Eurocentric:
It's autumn not fall!
All year long. Don't let the fact that the natives are shivering and wearing heavy coats when the temp drops below 75 F fool you.
EDIT: Crap, joke falls apart when I notice it was GG you were responding to, not the OP. -
I'm not positive, but I seem to recall the bathroom noises got deleted quite some time ago. It tends to show up on those "I remember when we..." threads.
EDIT: Oh, wait, I'm thinking of the bathrooms in the trams. Probably same goes, though, although I've never heard one way or the other. -
Quote:This, above all else, has always had me convinced that you're utterly and completely mad!
Steelclaw gets out the spreadsheets:
As I have mentioned a time or twelve here on the forums I tend to delete all my characters and start over every six to 12 months or so. This occurs when the game introduces a new rule or the like that messes with my tournament scoring system and so I have to scrap it and start over with all-new characters.
But at least it's a fun kind of insanity! -
Quote:An aside that technically Nietzsche didn't use it either. He used Übermensch, which someone translated as Superman (well, actually, Beyond Man first, then later Superman), when it's more literally Overman.
Katie V has me splitting hairs:
It has not trademarked it in the field of philosophy, and probably cannot because of Nietzsche's prior and better-known use. -
Quote:It likely wouldn't have done any good even if you did find the person with the name. I've had a guy (later a pal and SG mate) after my main Villain's name for YEARS (**waves at Masque**), but I ain't givin' it up for nothin'!
Dasher thinks it'll be given up:
I first started playing CoH 75 months ago, and still mostly play my primary character from that time. Someone had my character's name, so I added a period ( . ) to it. In the last five years, I have never once seen the original holder of the name, and I have opften tried to purchase a re-name, but have been told the name is already taken.
It's become a running gag by this point. -
Quote:Awwww...way to suck all the fun out of it!
Nerfed2Hell is wisely cautious:
For those willing to complete the mission for me, thanks... but I don't feel like having my characters respec'd out of their valuable enhancements, see their inf. emailed away, and have their vaults robbed of good/rare salvage. -
Hence my fiber crack.
-
And would only end up with the nickname "Pocky" anyway.

Quote:Most people don't post on message boards at all, happy or unhappy. Of the ones that do, it's very demonstrable that the unhappy generally post more often and more vehemently than proportion would indicate.
EvilGeko points out:
I think there's a corollary mistake in assuming the opposite. Most dissatisfied people don't bother to complain. They just walk away. -
Quote:True. It was Geoff Johns that did that.
EvilGeko has an example:
I'm not sure that's consistent with the comics, certainly having the same name hasn't hurt these guys' reputation much. -
Quote:The Flying Spaghetti Monster?
cursedsorcerer wants clearly drawn lines:
The only question is...
Calvin Scott
Emperor Cole
or the Cockroach Empire...
To whom are you loyal?
